We ran variations of this last night at my club practice, and added a full run of all 3 distances in one run. Great for work on recoil control, patience, and waiting for things to settle at the 25yds target especially. It's tempting to outrun the sight-settling process. I'm not able to get close to the standard, but working for string-by-string improvement.
Love these videos! No other company is doing content like this. Its so awesome seeing that dudes who were behind my holster burn it down. Never stop, its goated.
I always go by full idpa -1-3-5 for miss to access my drills. But even with you’re 0.5-1 for penalty’s there is no way I can do this even with no concealment and a passive retention holster. 9 seconds is very strict for this a par time. It’s doable but I think would push even some real hotshot guys.
Dang! I always worry about a squib when rapid firing for time. You get a squib in the middle of a fast run and you may not have time to process a weak round before your next trigger pull. Especially when “riding the wall”. Freaks me out a little thinking about it.
I really look forward to your drill videos. It is great to have both of the cameras with the one on the target while you're shooting. Have you guys ever done a video on how you acquired your skills? Do you have a set practice routine? Did you just shoot a bunch of drills? Do you shoot these drills a bunch of times before you film them? Thanks.
Big time "head game". Broken down to individual drills, most of you guys are easily capable of cleaning this. Just have to put all three together, on demand. : )
Ok. I tried this twice this weekend. Not too good. I did a 5.35 on the 25, 3.25 on 15, and 2.1 on the 7 yards. I missed 1. So, i think a 11.2 total score. That was my best run. I need to go faster on 25/15 and I will pass. First time to shoot at that distance that fast. So, it was nice to see at least both runs to be all in on 25 yards. My draw was a 2.12 on both 25 runs. Got to be faster....Nice drill.
@team tier1 - I noticed most of you guys shoot Glocks in your videos. I see a lot of people say in their video content that you’ll never get the accuracy out of a Glock that you can, and will out of other higher end pistols, particularly because of the lock up. Are the Glocks that you guys use modded in any way to improve lock up? For example, a fully fitted aftermarket barrel? Under the best of conditions at 25 yards what’s the tightest group you would hope to get shooting your Glock’s, an inch? Inch and a half? 2 inches? More? If you guys happen to see this, thanks in advance for the reply. Looking forward to receiving my first T1C axis elite
it depends on who you ask! Some of us are running modded Glocks or Glock-like pistols, like the ZevTech OZ9 which has a super tight lock up. But honestly at the distances that we shoot almost exclusively (25m and in) you can't tell much of a difference. A stock Glock with 20k rounds through it is still going to have "acceptable" accuracy to us. You'll might even notice more of a difference between ammo than different guns.
@@Tier1Concealed thank you for taking the time to reply. I have a Gen 5 Glock 19 with a Wilson combat drop in barrel. I feel the lockup is sufficiently tight. I really only shoot out to 25 yds max for the most part anyway. I’m usually stuck somewhere in the nexus between ability of the shooter and capability of the pistol. I like to believe that my shooting ability will advance enough to shoot 3-4 ” groups at 25 yds in drills. Hoping to train with jedi this year, and just don’t want to be laughed off the line because I show up with my Glock 19, rather than something longer or more high end. Frankly it’s what I carry every day, it’s what I have thousands of rounds through. It’s what I want to be the most proficient with.
What I really want to know is how do these guys carry appendix with no undershirt without pinching skin and pulling hairs? I tried… most painful day of my life. Advice?
We know a lot of people trim their hair so it doesn't get caught as much. But if its a big problem there's nothing wrong with wearing an undershirt either. Just practice with it.
I don't know how y'all shoot that far that fast. The cadence that y'all use for the 25 yd shooting is the same. Cadence that I would use for maybe 12 yards to be that accurate
@@Tier1Concealed I just re read what I typed. It sounded a little deushy lol. Not my intentions. I only get 6 hours of range time a week, wish I could get more.
This is quickly becoming my favorite channel. Good balance of focus on gear and practice.
Thanks so much!!
All of you did well. That is a crazy hard drill. I don't think I could pass that. The 25 would kill me every time. Great video guys.
thanks we appreciate it!
I always enjoy the drill videos.
More to come!

heck yeah, that's awesome!! good work
@@Tier1Concealed Thanks, just trying to live up to T1C stds! I use Xiphos but those drills were with comp belt/holster.

Great video guys! That is one heck of a difficult shooting drill.
It is a tough one, definitely doable though!
Always great! Tough drill standards.
Yes they are!
This is a tough standard to hit. Good drill that i can use at a normal public range lane.
That's good shooting for those splits
thank you!
I like the stuff y'all do, keep the vids coming please.
We appreciate that! Will do!
Your holsters are awesome 💪👍
Sawyers knife attack was awesome!😂
Outstanding skills 💪🏼🇺🇸
That haircut though 💪
All of you can damn shoot. Bravo 🙌🏻
thanks man
Nice shooting as usual boys

Great channel. Great vids. I want a Tier1 holster for my new SIG P320 X compact. But I have a couple dumb questions on set up.
feel free to give us a call 385-205-6005 and we can help!
This is sick

tell me about that spotting scope and camera setup
You guys should revisit this drill with Jared at defender ranch, see if you guys have improved or gotten worse lol
That's a great idea
You guys are awesome and have some very flat shooting rigs. Can y'all do a video on your specific grips technique? That seems to be the secret!
Thanks man! Check out our recoil management video we filmed a while back, there are some good tips in there!

nope! We all love them here!

What glasses are the blue ones
Leupold Payload sunglasses!
Does a Glock 17 g5 fit the 0z9 specific holster ?
I have the embroidered trucker hat and would like to buy a different design. It’s kinda hard to do when y’all keep buying them.
We've been trying to restock them for quite some time, trust us, we're dying to get them back in stock!
What range is that? I really need somewhere near Ogden I can practice from a holster...
its about 2 hours south of ogden
@@Tier1Concealed gotcha, thanks. Guess I just need to go find a place in the forest, lol.

Weird question... How do you guys pee while appendix carrying? lmao. I have no idea really how to do it well
haha! We actually covered this topic in our "How to Appendix Carry Comfortably" video we posted a while back ruclips.net/video/tgZkkcNSBOU/видео.html

You could use a marker to outline the A zone to stand out more.
Yeah that definitely helps at distance! Sometimes people allow that in their standards, sometimes they consider it cheating.... just depends
good run guys, obviously a stiff standard.
Utah
Desert isn't Utah, my guess Salton sea.
Damm spicy
👍👍
Good factory ammo might help....maybe. I dont know what you guys are shooting but some of the ammo out there is *poop*
Yeah, it could definitely help... not sure how much though. We use 115gr from HSL Ammo and its pretty solid stuff
Boys need a little more range time. Great Holsters though.
we could always use more range time! thank you!

You gotta make the time standard and get those hits.. its a demanding standard for sure
Dont ever start by saying this is the worst run of the day.......dang. Thats bad mojo. ( Pro tip : zero your gun , lol)
