    This show used to scare my best friend and I when we were kids (late 90s/early 2000s). During summer breaks, I pretty much lived at her house. Her mom worked so we'd be home alone every morning at 10am, when this aired (most of them were reruns already at that point I think, but didn't really matter, still scared the crap out of us 🤣) Ah to be young again 😅

      My parents used to make my younger brother and I go to bed before the show aired, but we could still hear the program on the TV in the other room. My brother would usually fall asleep quite quickly so during the ghost or alien segments, I would listen and imagine, terrified by the realization that I was alone in the dark with something. I would hide under my blanket as though the blanket would protect me from whatever it was, lol.

    There was a TV movie about this story that aired back in 1992 called "Grave Secrets: The Legacy of Hilltop Drive". I remembered it vividly from my childhood (I was 8 when it originally aired), and it turns out somebody uploaded the entire thing here! Just search for that title and it should pop up. I can't recommend it enough - it has stellar acting and still _absolutely_ holds up even 30 years later.

We could hear talking coming from the living room, we yelled for the kids to get back in their room and finish cleaning up. The talking in the living room got louder, so we went in there thinking it was the kids, but when we went in there nobody was there, the kids were in the room, quietly cleaning up. As we walked back to our room the living room TV came on and turned the volume up all by itself!! This was one of the very first things that happened to us while we were there.

And very likely, because of their past lives, they didn’t trust the white families that moved in, so the ghosts had every right to defend themselves and their resting place, regardless of the fact that the graves were disturbed by accident. The poor woman having a heart attack was tragic, but that’s no reason to wish a restless and I peaceful eternity to innocent former slaves. You should be ashamed of yourself!

      Vintage Rose You have to file for the temporary order first, once it’s granted you wait for court, during that time gather any and all photos, texts, social media posts etc that show there is an abusive relationship and more importantly potential danger to the person seeking the order, once the court date comes the judge almost always grants the order unless there really is no reason to believe there is a potential for danger or harassment. If that fails, YOU can even file an ex parte and have the individual removed for psychiatric assessment, during that time try to file again. I had to have my mother file an ex parte and then filed AGAIN after trying two times before to get an order of protection. Just keep trying. It can be a very important tool for that persons safety.

      Heart attack could also be because she was straining herself while digging. Strenuous physical activity makes the heart work harder and if you've missed or written off previous early signs of a heart attack, then it can appear to have happened suddenly with no lead-up, when in reality it was the strenuous activity being, essentially, the straw that broke the camel's back and the individual/family not having noticed symptoms of cardiac issues in the past.

      It's an interesting phenomenon. I'm open to its veridicality, but just haven't had the experiences to which others attest in what they themselves are otherwise convinced is haunted. For instance, at university I've worked with the police department to secure buildings at the proper closing time. One building is particularly old, and at least one officer was himself of the mind it was haunted. (Claims were of untraceable voices and rearranging of desks in classrooms.) I never once experienced anything of the sort despite countless occasions of securing the structure (which involves going through the building, not just the exterior), though I did follow an odd sound in the basement only to discover a stray cat in the ceiling that was caught in a trap after having been enticed by a can of tuna. (Seems the trapper knew their prey!) Though, incidentally, there was a case on an evening I wasn't on duty (though it happened all the same) that a professor whose office was in the very same building received a call in the middle of the night at his house _from_ his office. He heard nothing but heavy breathing on the other end. So he called university PD and officers promptly responded. His office was locked as it should be; but once the officers got inside they noticed the phone had indeed been placed just enough askew as to be off its cradle. Very odd. Yet not quite the M.O., as it were, of the haunting claims. I'd hazard that it was a prankful student, though it's not without seeming weakness for those who would place it into the lore of haunting events, as it probably will be in ultimately embellished form.

    My theory on Cindy Song. When she arrived in her apartment that night around 3am, she then walked to a local 24 hour convenience store as part of her typical routine. Being tired from partying all night, a Good Samaritan was driving by that street she was walking. The driver noticed Cindy was exhausted, so he offered her a ride to the store. The driver was never a Good Samaritan, as he abducted her and drove far away from campus. This is why there is no trace of Cindy.

    • @lisawilliams3390
      @lisawilliams3390 4 года назад +12

      I can't see her getting into a car with a stranger. Dragged in maybe..but not at her own free will.

    • @PoliticalWatcher
      @PoliticalWatcher 4 года назад

      Under normal circumstances, Cindy would never get in a stranger’s car. But this night was different. Cindy was at a Halloween party all night to 2am (and drinking alcohol). Afterwards she socialized at her friends apartment for almost 2 hours. Evidence shows she made it to her apartment at 4am, then quickly left her apartment and went missing.
      Cindy was known to make late visits to a 24 hour convenience store (like many college students). But that night she was totally exhausted, and a free ride would be very tempting and likely.

    • @lisawilliams3390
      @lisawilliams3390 4 года назад +6

      I go to my local convenience store at weird times as well after night's out and exhausted. No matter how drunk or tired I was, I wouldnt get in anyones car I didn't know. It wasn't a far walk, so I just can't see her taking that risk when it wasn't a far distance. Just my opinion of course.

    • @PoliticalWatcher
      @PoliticalWatcher 4 года назад +1

      Another variant that closer matches yours is that a Good Samaritan driver approached her and offered her a ride. They had a conversation, but Cindy rejected. As Cindy walked away, the driver (seeing that no one else was around at 4am) got out of his car, forcibly abducted her into his car, then drove off.

    As I watched the creepy and sad story of Black Hope, I was suddenly taken back to my childhood when I saw the stuffed animals sitting behind Carli at 13:25, of Garfield and E.T. I still have the picture of me riding the bike through the sky, with E.T. in the basket in front of me, the moon behind us, taken at Universal Studios. And I remembered my brother getting his big plastic Garfield telephone for Christmas in 1984 or '85. You lifted up his rounded back and that was the ear & mouth receiver with a push button dialpad. So cool.
