Andrew is a legend and has done a lot for growing the game with his content.

My only problem with them shifting the majority of the spoiler to the in person world premiere is that my hype for the set, which was really high at the beginning, has dwindled a lot because we have so little information about the intent/idea of the heroes and I think it's neglecting the worldwide players that can't go to the event. It also makes the process of sharing the cards a bit more hectic. I started playing FaB around the release of Bright Lights as my first physical card game, but played Hearthstone and Legends of Runeterra before and the spoiler season was always a pleasant and hyped time as people like to speculate and talk about the new cards and how they would impact the meta, even for people like me that suck at deck building. Although the shift of the majority of spoilers to the in person event is in theme with LSS's mojo, I feel like is depriving some of us, players, to some extent from participating in the hype. I have no problem with them offering alternate art or some kind of promotional variant of cards for the people going to the events. I feel that is very fair to compensate/show appreciation for the more dedicated people that made the decision to attend.
Maybe because FaB is my first physical card game, I have an uninformed opinion of how things work in this domain, but with just a month before the set and so little interesting cards revealed my interest is decreasing a bit, especially as the discussions about the new cards will be very chaotic until they are opened at the event, shared around and with a decent quality(for the HVY and MST fables, the photos were extremely blurry and I, for one, couldn't decipher the blurry text until it appeared on fabrary).

Maybe they are announcing the set too early then? Also you will still have time to have seen all the cards in the set prior to the actual pre-release weekend, this is just a world premiere of all the cards. Its kind of like finding out if you're having a boy or girl, you'll know eventually

I get your point about the blurry cards, they should definitely just release all the cards on their card database and collector center on Friday of World premiere!

@@Riddle-TCG I completely forgot that they released their own card database. The idea of them posting the set there is nice.
As an examaple, from my memory of Legends of Runeterra, the sets were not that big and the spoiler season was usually the week before the set release and each day would reveal around 6-10 cards.
They could try something similar with them adding more of the bulk gradually the week before the world premiere and reserving the legendaries for the in person event. From what we've seen so far, the spoilers that got revealed at events are expansion slot cards, so that arrangement could remain to not be completely silent.
Although, an idea like this would have to be communicated clearly in an official manner. For Rosetta, we know that the majority of the set will be revealed at the world premiere because James White said so in an interview, although I don't remember if this was mentioned at the keynote at the PT. Like you guys said in the episode, LSS should step up a bit their communication on their official channels

@@Riddle-TCG I completely forgot that they released their own card database. Your idea of them posting the cards there is a nice and interesting one.
For example, in Legends of Runeterra, the sets weren't very big and the spoiler season was the week before the set and every day around 6-10 cards would be revealed each day. LSS could try a similar approach with announcing some cards on the database every day for a time before the world premiere and reserving the legendaries for the in person event, as more of a middle ground. The cards that got spoiled so far at events seem to be expansion slot cards and the arrangement works fine, as it's better than silence.
Although, such an idea would need to be communicated clearly by LSS. As you guys have said, LSS needs to up their communication game on their official channels(also being more consistent between them). If I remember correctly, we know that the majority of Rosetta will be spoiled in person because James White said so in an interview, although I'm not sure if that was also said at the keynote at PT Amsterdam

@LegendOfRoGamers First off, welcome to the game! I hope the way they are doing this doesn't discourage you much because even though I can't make it to Tampa either I kinda like that they aren't spoiling everything early I like surprises. The set so far looks really interesting and hopefully at least Zen having to care about arcane will slow him down a little. I've been playing card games for decades now and I'm not a huge fan of the way games like mtg have perpetual spoiler season and I like there to be some mystery of what's in the packs. Either way it goes I hope you stay with it and enjoy Rosetta and Flesh and Blood as a whole! 😁

yeah i agree with Andrew the people that come for your pwe experience yes there will be overlap between your competitive scene but I think PWE will be more trying to get your table top gamers in the store to play together while also encouraging them to buy more product. Yesterday at our armory I was told that FAB has been selling exceptionally well since the armory decks introduction but our numbers arent increasing. So where is that product going? To the home players and they don't want to come out for their first event to get their teeth kicked in. Yeah I agree fab is a competitive game at its core and is the bread and butter, but fab gameplay is very unique with hero style gameplay and think can very much grow the number of people playing even if we don't see it.

This is one of the things that I believe would be solved by having an official online client. Folks may have more confidence after tooling around with a client where you can play anonymously or they just might not want to play in person at all. Really wish we had options that weren't fan made.

@@alteraphim I think the online client doesn't take away from the game being one of the skill intensive card games. I would say the current resources are fine they just need to be more aware of for newer players. I was worried about showing up till I was trying talishar and learning.
