Really hyped that the Bonds bans didn't delay the video much (as far as I can tell), woo! Question though, for Zen's turn 4 would Mauling Qi have been a better search target than Tiger Swipe since there was nothing to buff the Tigers with? Game was big hype to watch either way, and I can't wait to see what becomes the new main flavor of Zen. Cheers!

If an opponent is running needlessly against you, wouldn’t it be good to just try and destroy them in the beginning of the game? Especially if that have mask?
Zen in particular has a lot of difficulty breaking Needles. You have more hands with cards that don't have block. You tend to need every card every turn to do much of anything. Not every card that blocks, blocks for 3. Blocking Needles a lot of times means essentially giving up a whole turn for Zen, which against Katsu is really hard to come back from. Now that I've played the match up more since we recorded this I actually think Katsu (with Needles) is a hard counter to Zen!
@@ggDoAI think as Katsu you should be more willing to break needles, as Katsu has a bit stronger 2 card hand than Zen, since a 0 cost combo threatening Katsu trigger is very good

This game my hands made it a better choice to let them through, but I do agree that running Needles into Katsu isn't as big of a threat to the Katsu as it is to the Zen. It's a super interesting discussion that I feel like we're only just getting into! Awesome to see an old weapon come back and be relevant suddenly!
