I like the fact that LEGO has started doing these alt color options. Been wanting that for years with the cars. Now hopefully it'll trickle down to the Speed Champions line.
I just got the grey version last week. I dunno if it’s the lighting or I’m not as picky, but the stickers don’t really stand out as badly to me. The build process was super fun like you said. I think I’m going to pick up the white set to change into the attack version with the wing pretty soon. Your reviews are a big part of my purchase process, and they’re really helpful about seeing if the set is something I’ll enjoy. Can’t wait for your next vid!
With the yellowish tone of white LEGO uses and the prospect of further yellowing with age every set that is NOT white seems like a relief. At least with objects that don´t have to be white. With the Saturn V, Space Shuttle or Concorde there wasn´t much of an option, but with cars?
the grey one does look better thanks to the issues that white stickers have matching the brick colour. While it is cool to have the 2 colours at once, would've loved if LEGO did the Grey one as an Absolut and the White one as an Attack. For those who don't know, there are two versions of the Jesko, the Absolut shown here is built for top speed records and will chase the 300 mph mark as well as recently setting a new 0-400-0 kph record, The other version is the Attack which is designed for tearing up racetracks and recently set a new production car record at Laguna Seca. So having the two versions in this form would've been a really cool thing for LEGO to have done with it
I really want to get the white one because it matches my white speed champions version, but the grey looks so much better in your videos! I actually thought the white version looked more clean before looking for your review. I'm leaning towards the grey now. I find this set much more cool looking and exciting than either of the other pairs of colored technic cars shown in your video.
I'm completely fine with these color optiosn, and in fact wish they would do this more often. Speed Champions would be a logical option, but also thinking back to the Fender Statocaster which included parts for two variants, they could have just released several variants in a variaty of colors. Gives us more choice, and there sure will be some completionist collectors that want them all, so also a win for Lego. The one thing I just don't get with this particular set though is why two colors that are so close? I'd say do one bright and one more muted color.
I love my white version. Yeah I agree on the stickers, at this point this is just lazy and awkward. But it somehow looks worse in your video than it looks to me irl, somehow. I don't like the new seats and their stickers, the shape is odd. But the positives outweigh any negatives for me. Having a differential in such a small set is huge, and the first time I believe? The functions are amazing, and a huge step up from the other cars of the same scale imo. The Bolide was (among) my first lego sets in decades, since mid-90's to be exact, and it's shocking to see how far we have come in such a short time since then. To me, it truly feels like generational shifts between the Bolide, the Huracan, and the Jesko, and it's really cool to see.
While the sticker issue isn't great, I definitely think I'll get the white one. Especially because I already have two white-and-lime Jeskos between the Speed Champions theme and CADA's 1:8 scale recreation
I've been waiting for this comparison. I already have the white one and i like it a lot but I wasn't sure if it was just me or the set, but in white the lines of the design don't seem too noticeable, so it almost comes across as a generic supercar. But now seeing in the video, it definitely looks like the lines are much more visible in the gray set, and it actually looks a lot more like the Jesko. Guess I'm gonna have to pick up the gray set when it's on sale lol
Ah, that explains, why there is a pair of white parts very early in the build, which you can barely find, once you start actually building the white stuff. Also funny: the gray version has a single white part (10197), which keeps this from being exclusive.
The grey one looks much better IMHO, the white Jesko has too much color contrast between chassis and wheels. Did someone by any chance find a way to build better wheel arches? They are so off...
Just assembled grey one and white version I’ll buy later as well and probably would leave it in the box for later. Even if Lego would be saving R&D money to create same model with just different color, it is their choice and I have zero problem with that 😂. You don’t need to buy it, simple as that 😂
Lime stickers are the only colour that really bothers me, the sticker colour is metallic yellow on a darker green, while the pieces are, of course, solid lime plastic. So under certain lighting, some parts of the sticker sometimes match the yellower or greener lime parts. But if they're on curved panels they get highlights the Lego doesn't have.
I disagree on saying this isn’t a cash grab/cost saving on Lego’s part. The Gray one I’m okay with because the Jesko Absolute from Koenigsegg has always been shown in grey, but never white. The Jesko Attack has been shown in white with green accents. This was a good opportunity to change the design a bit as the Attack has a shorter rear, a large wing, as well as a more aggressive front end. I understand if they didn’t want to make the alternate version because it wouldn’t build/look the same as the Absolute with the changes applied, but just doing the color change signals cash grab/cost savings to me.
@RacingBrick I’ve been meaning to ask this but i forgot, where did you get that orange ford bronco from in the background when you speak to the audience, it’s in the top rightish corner and it looks so cool.
I'm waiting for that too. I guess it's not that great since it was released on the 1st of August and LEGO don't want bad publicity. I've read some reviews elsewhere and they report it's not as good value as other TECHNIC sets, which include more parts for about the same price, and the playability is average because the set is rather fragile. With that said, if you are a Nasa fan and like display sets, then it's a must buy.
For me this should of been the 1/8th scdle release not dn old P1. The P1 looks great but we had 3 modern cars, then went back a decade in time, a Jesko would been better.
The stickers look pretty bad on both cars, unfortunately. I personally went with white and lime since it looks a little more charming and less like a grey blob, lol

I hated the grey version. Once I saw the white one, I had to buy it.
It's just another flat, smoothly licked thing on wheels, regardless if it's grey ir white. They all look the same from a distance and there's not much "technic" in it.
Check out the local prices and availability in the LEGO Online Shop - racingbrick.com/product/42184-2/

i hope not i'll have hundreds
Speed Champions had one car in 2 different colors once. White 911 Turbo FH4 and green version that came with 911 RSR

Agreed
that would be cool
Grey absolut and White attack just like the colours they were originally released in
What instructions are you going to use for the wing?
I just got it today and I spent 2hr on it and im half way through😅
Hi balazs from racing brick this is everyone
Yea, he finally review this version

Maybe they could put the stickers on the manual as a page you can cut

The Corvette ZR1 (42093) also had a differential
I would like LEGO to make a purple Technic car.
Great review as always. Hope they release the Countach in an alternate colour too. The black with gold wheels looked so much better.
Love it in both colour, chose the grey one, look forward to build it!

Just got this set this weekend the most aggravating build I've ever done and I've been building Lego sets for over 20 years so that's saying something
LEGO should make body kits in various colours for their supercars.
The white one looks better to me and I’m really happy they released the 2 at the same time

Great review. Not happy with how the front windshield supports don’t mount to the roof.
Bionicle Jetrax technic vehicle released in blue and yellow at the same time also!
The grey one looks much better IMHO, the white Jesko has too much color contrast between chassis and wheels. Did someone by any chance find a way to build better wheel arches? They are so off...
i personally thought the grey looked horrible. i might go buy the white. didnt know it existed
deffo getting the white and moc'ing the spoiler to make it the attack

:0 my favorite lego youtuber
I definitely prefer the white this is why this is good ..personally the color makes the difference for me because the grey one is hideous
Yes the orange seats with the grey look awful imo
Gray is real Absolut spec but white is Attack spec so.. They should have made white attack and gray absolut.. Little extra work and better sales..

Was Koenisegg Jesko Absolut the Grey killed by the Balrog, and has been reborn as Koenisegg Jesko Absolut the White?
Nice model to display without stickers, or lose too much detail?
Different colours for G Wagon
Any customer can have the car in any colour they want so long as it is either grey or white.
good video like always
3
I might get the white version and not add stickers when possible
FUN FACT: the white one like the attack
I want the older stickers back, that was transparent 😕
When is the moon rover review?
One of my friends gave to me for my birthday and it came with 2 sticker sheets
@RacingBrick I’ve been meaning to ask this but i forgot, where did you get that orange ford bronco from in the background when you speak to the audience, it’s in the top rightish corner and it looks so cool.
It's a MOC by gyenesvi, you can find it on Rebrickable - rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-139309/gyenesvi/ford-bronco-rc-42126-42129-dual-alternate/#details
I bought the white one cause I was thinking it would be more rare and I like the colour combo much better.
When are you going to review the LRV?
This week
waiting for another reviews😊
Nice set.. 😃
The 42184 version is basically the jesko absolut in normal jesko colors
Great review but I won’t be buying, I’ll wait
I like the grey one cuz the white one will yellow overtime
It's more work, but Lego should put the sticker sheet inside the instruction book
Not a good idea, it will stick to the pages with time, before being unpacked.
sadly i like the orange version of the lambo and the blue bugatti but i have the og versions
Imo white looks bettwr
heyy, i thought you were giving the white one to your kid to build 😂
That was the plan, but he was busy building something else
You should have compared it to the speed champions jesko!
You can see that one in the previous Jesko video
When will you review the NASA Lunar Roving Vehicle (42182) ?
I'm waiting for that too. I guess it's not that great since it was released on the 1st of August and LEGO don't want bad publicity. Maybe you just wait?
That's the next set to review, coming this week
For me this should of been the 1/8th scdle release not dn old P1. The P1 looks great but we had 3 modern cars, then went back a decade in time, a Jesko would been better.

I hated the grey version. Once I saw the white one, I had to buy it.
Bought the gray one cause it's more accurate to the irl one
For me, the stickers on the grey version looks worse. Especially in the light.
ur dark blueish gray stickers are worse than mine idk why.And also i had paper bags
It highly depends on the lighting. I have bright studio lights that will show the differences better.
maybe thats why but how u got plastic is that because u got it early
I've always wanted to ask about the orange vehicle in the top right? Raptor mod or moc?
It's a Ford Bronco I think.
I guess it's an alternative ford bronco moc build of the technic raptor he did a video about it a while ago
I like the gray better
Woahhh im early again
Nice but I wouldn't buy either
they should make the absolut now
It's just another flat, smoothly licked thing on wheels, regardless if it's grey ir white.
They all look the same from a distance and there's not much "technic" in it.
Mehh
FIRST
Why can't American design a good looking car?
I bought the real jesko and its cool to buy lego version while waiting for the real one =)
