I gave a guy a chance, and I fully focused on getting to know him and not worrying about going out to eat or spending money. So far, we have road bikes together walked in the park went to simple restaurants like silver diner, now we go to different silver diners just to try them all out. It’s (our thing)lol we played pool on our first date. I got to see how well we got along, and how competitive we both were. We’ve watched shows/movies. Sometimes we sit and talk in the car or at the dinner table at his or my place. I bring him coffee, or he cooks me dinner . We’ve done a sip and paint at home. We have cooked together several times.. over the past couple of months. Not once did we have sex, and when I tell you, it has been the best experience I’ve ever had with a person. I think the key has been to be completely vulnerable about my wants and my beliefs. He has also been very transparent and vulnerable. But my advice to all of the women is to stop focusing on going out to dinners and’s dressing up and seeing how much money he has. it’s really truly not about that.. it’s about his character. For me, I found that he and I have a lot in common I think that that is very important because there’s not a lot of tug and pull. Don’t be afraid to be nice and kind and affectionate and sweet to him in a genuine way. And allow him to reciprocate. We have been discussing marriage and the future. In a realistic way. As a Chicago resident whose Mayor has been hospitalized behind the migrant crisis and the potential loss of thousands of jobs. Respectfully I believe that its time for Black people to start having a different conversation because we are being placed in a situation where only a small portion of us will be able financially to create families. Black men in the state of Illinois are being laid off in the masses to welcome cheap labor. I respect Mr Gaskins efforts to keep the black family together; however it's time for Black people to begin to have a different conversation about their family structure because in the state of Illinois many black men are about to be jobless and being taken care of by women who have higher education. I don't believe that God was intending for women to become head of households.
