After Dragster: What's Next For Cedar Point?

- Top Thrill 2 is a massive project opening at Cedar Point this year, but in this video I want to take a look at after Top Thrill 2 opens. I'm asking, what’s next for Cedar Point? What new coasters or attractions will we see? And more importantly, will we get that 500ft RMC T-Rex? In this video I’m going to look at six potential spaces we could see new coasters pop in the next ten years.

What should Cedar Point build next?
Cedar Point could redo steel Vengence and do a family boomerang. take out mille and put corckscrew there, take out maverick and replace it with and replace it with a family wooden. Take out Blue Streak and retrack it to an hybrid but don't change anything about the ride. AND FINALLY, MOVE TEH PARK TO EUROPE.

A GCI
I'd deffinitley like to see something like an Intamin multi launch, like a combination of Velocicoaster and Pantheon
A Mack Extreme Spinner done in classic Cedar Point fashion where they try to break records and do unique, never-before planning would fit in so perfectly, I don't care where it goes.
I know! one of those just feels so so right for the park
The B/M giga idea was kicked around twice that we know of so 3rd time is the charm. The RMC Raptor replacing corkscrew is more likely than a zamperla launched coaster..I just wonder what CP had planned before the dragster debacle happened, they had something cooking that got thrown on the backburner, afterall building a new coaster takes years of planning..Whatever happens CP will not disappoint
Never mad over a B&M Giga or Hyper
I know there was a arrow hyper roller coaster over in Japan called the Titan Max, they got new trains from S&S worldwide so I think Magnum would definitely benefit from that company. also i dont know why cedar point would get rid of gemini, the ride is old but I enjoy the pops of airtime you get on those bunny hills.
I heard that those S&S trains sucked though.
What I want Cedar Point to get is a B&M Giga in the plots with Snake River Falls and their Skycoaster. Make it about 370ft and 7000ft long with a splashdown finale where Snake RIver Falls is. I think this could drop you onto Millennium Island under Millie's airtime hills. Unfortunately, we have Six Flags now, and I get the feeling they are going to close Gemini sooner than later and call RMC. I absolutely hate this and want Gemini to stay for all time. A Mack Spinner there would be ever worse.
I’m definitely excited to see what they do after Dragster. Since this year is just a revamp of a coaster I think 2025 will be a big year for new things. I’ll be there all summer this year! It’s always fun to look for signs of new construction zones at the end of the season
Same here! I'm sure some new preliminary work will start soon
I've heard through the grapevine that Cedar Fair has done the analysis on an xtreme spinner at the park, and the capacity it provides wouldn't be high enough for a park of Cedar Point's scale. I think Corkscrew is going to be the first to go, and they'll replace it with something appropriate in that spot. Corkscrew rarely has a line anymore, and it's in a VERY high-traffic area of the park; there's a lot of opportunity there, even if space is limited. After that, I really think we're gonna see the park expand onto Millennium Island, not just as an exclusive upcharge, but an actual park expansion with new rides and pathways to connect the two main thoroughfares of the park's back half.
Hmm, that seems possible..plus they're expensive from what I've heard
exa coaster 2038 (jk)
I mean, wouldn't hate it
I think something similar to Big Bear Mountain would be a really good replacement for Cedar Creek Mine Ride
Yes, definitely!
As much as I would hate it, I think the Gemini replacement would be a wooden coaster... That plot screams it.
However, with the chain moving their HQ out of Sandusky, and considering CP has lost a bit of it's luster with the chain (given that no one in upper management seems to have a personal connection with it) I actually see this 10 year plan being too ambitious. I only see one or two coasters coming in 10 years, ngl.
While an extreme spinner is absolutely the *ideal* option, I’d happily take a vekoma family multi launch as a replacement for cedar creek mine ride. Keep the family friendly vibe, even the mine theme, just bring that plot into the next generation and round out the western area to reduce lines at steel vengeance and maverick
This is what I think the park needs.
1. A GCI/GG Wooden Coaster
2. Modern Flat Ride Package
3. Magnum Retrack (Namely redo the turnaround section)
4. Another Modern Flat Ride Package (Cedar Point REALLY needs some flats from the 21st century)
5. Another family coaster (Wild Mouse filled a gap, but they really could use another mid-range family coaster)
easy: just build like 4 more mavericks?
Ugh, I wish they'd work with Intamin again
Mack coasters are a massive investment Copperhead Strike was $26 million. I think it's time they fix their relationship with Intamin.
I Feel like Cedar Point needs an inversion forward coaster. Cedar Point needs to spearhead that inversion record with a Gerstlauer Infinty or Eurofighter.. PLUS a Coaster of this caliber doesn't take up a ton of room... which is something Cedar Point doesn't have a lot of.
Good idea
I want Cedar point to build a single roller coaster. I think it would fit it.
id love to see them put something over the lake like what velocicoaster does
Like lake eerie? Can they do that?
@@JakeCoasters I'm fairly certain they can, its just a matter of getting permits sorted and paying the insane cost. ive lived in Cleveland my whole life and they've done it before with regular structures like bridges
interesting
Two shity zamperla’s in one park would be crazy 😭
I believe replacing Gemini with a modern, dueling gci would be awesome. Honor it with the dueling aspect, while modernizing and keeping that capacity per hour the same
Good idea
Call me crazy but I think Cedar Point will add a family launch coaster first. Something like a backlot stunt coaster but new and fresh
I could see that
They should tear down Kiddie Kingdom since it’s easily the worst area of Cedar Point and many of the rides do the exact same thing. Not to mention that they already have 2 much better kid areas in Planet Snoopy and Camp Snoopy where many of the rides can be relocated and rethemed.
Good thought
A b and m flier. The pretzel loops on those are sick. I will never forget the first time I rode tatsu....and coming up to that loop going wait no way....and sorry but b and m coasters don't break down!!! Honestly look at all the b and M's in that park!!! You are underestimating them. I am guessing world's tallest flier is coming next. They just did wild mouse and top thrill 2 wasn't planned so the next new coaster will be a b and m. Take it to the bank....why go mack or rmc single rail when they can go reliable
Just give me something with alot of " Air-Time " and I would be happy.
Same!
Premier is doing the loch ness refurb so maybe they'll be the company to freshen up magnum when the time inevitably comes
Hmmm not sure how I feel about that, but we'll see how Nessie redo goes
CP definitely needs a top tier Woodie!
Indeed
I'd love to see CP build a classic GCI woodie. A modern / classic wooden coaster is much needed at the park.
a vekoma flying dutchman at cedar point would be really cool, especially since their invert is forgettable and there arent really any flying coasters in the area
Magnum needs that RMC retrack
👀
Like all the picks as long as they get solid flats to go along and also the hyper you talk about will be a giga if I had my way
I love this video!!!! Bluestreak and magnum retracks much wanted
Thank you ❤ Definitely need to be preserved
TBH they need to do something about CANADA"S WONDERLAND
Indeed I'll cover that soon
Zamperla tree lmao
Really good video
Glad you enjoyed it
