All forms of curiosity, even silly hypotheticals, are important - they can lead to practical ideas as well. And two groups are great at it: kids and smart adults. But the average person forgets to be curious. Here we explore the power of curiosity, and in the words of Joe Hanson - Stay Curious! Don’t shy away from asking questions, however pointless they may seem.

What if BrainCraft was the #1 channel on RUclips?
It can be, Life noggin is... Just Kidding it's minute physics, although you are def. #3. Love your vids
It would say good things about humanity as a whole!
HELLO.!!!
Life Noggin what if there wasn't competition? What if animals didn't develop competitivity? Maybe you could make a video about this.
When you're so curious about your curiousity
This was a very interesting way to promote curiosity. Curiosity is what drives intelligence, and far too often we're just given answers that could be summarized as "because that's just the way things work". That inspires no creativity or progress. I like the message of this video, because it challenges that. We should summarize curiosity to say "what stops this from being different than the way it is, and is it realistically possible to do anything about it?"
What if... you shared this video? 🤔
What if... you could jump from body to body?
None of my friemds would care
@Adrian_Zombturtle then probably you are with the wrong circle.
My mom will probably like it... And as you wish.
Abdur Rahim i dont have a circle lol
*casually pulls a hard drive from her sleeve*
Personally,I was thinking of a micro SD card. It's not quite an encyclopedia on the head of a pin....more like an entire library on a coin (well,a coin sized object). Sorta similar, just scaled up a bit.
I love how these videos are like a meta commentary on all science RUclips videos
I think that being curious awakens the unquenchable desire to discover the mysteries and secrets of the realities that surround us
Curiusity...hum...is that why i'm so addict of this fantastic show???
Randall Munroe, the author of xkcd, has an entire section on his website dedicated to answering such 'what if' questions. His book, titled What If? is an enjoyable read, and you develop an appreciation for the amount of time and research he does to answer these questions.
Yes - this is a great book. I love xkcd!
I bought it as soon as it was available in my country too! The way he blends humor with science is really interesting.
I got it on christmas. I love what if ? !!!
I love your videos! They always answer questions I've never contemplated before
Thank you for the interesting and varied contents of the shows you make. Now in my last few weeks b4 I turn 56 years young on March 23rd, I continue to look for the shows that help explain the Hows & Whys things in our universe behave the way they do. Your programming helps in my quest. Thank you for the work you do.
Awesome video! The power of curiosity is seriosuly powerful for our own development and for our own excitment clearly too. Your videos are incredible!
As always, love the content.keep up the good work
THIS is FANTASTIC. thank you so much
Such a great video, thanks for sharing!
Love your vídeos!!! Great work!
I am very curious about curiosity. I like being curious.
This video makes me feel fantastic!
Your voice is so soothing.
Great video :)
Thank a lot Vanessa for this video, will start practicing this art of curiosity.
I love "what if" most of all thoughts.
Brilliant video, it gives me a new respect for silly hypotheticals, thanks for the insight!
fantastic as always :)
What if... my crush liked me back?🤔😂
They wouldn't be your crush anymore
Then that would be odd because sodas dont normaly have that ability
In all of these pretty unlikely scenarios, you'd probably die
Rohan Shinde Not necessarily. My crush liked me back 23 years ago...still is my crush.

I just saw a face until the graph was complete 😂
Very curious to see your new upload. Great video, nessyhill.
I love these videos so much
Great video.Made me curious about how you make them flawless.
5:04 Rick Sanchez: "Yes... you really never know what you might find at the other end"
Maybe teleporting photons?
Incredible demonstrate of yours and way of talking is very attractive
loved the video today! however, it does leave me with a few questions. curiosity is described as an art, that needs dedication and practice. do Neuroscientists, psychologists or others have recommendations about ways to foster this process? I work as a tutor at my school, and one of the things I notice a lot of students struggling with is remaining curious about what they are learning, regardless of what it is. now, I tutor political science which is naturally inscrutable to a lot of people, so I usually spend half my time in a session having to make the argument that poli sci is compelling and important, to try to get fellow students curious and excited. any body have thoughts, suggestions or exercises they use to stay curious?
Awesome video.Curiosity mostly determines the way we act and think. It was a great video
There is definitely information here. I'm sprunjing it!
You're an inspiration... Enjoying the black on black on black look.
It's so powerful that I clicked lighting fast on this video
The website and book "What If" by Randall Munroe (author of also awesome the "xkcd" comic) is really great for this. I've learned lots of sciency things while having fun reading the hypothetical scenarios.
Curiosity is what led me to study psychology and now my job is to help people understand themselves better, and it's curiosity what drives them to want to know too and also what keeps me interested in them. It is pretty rewarding.
The biggest question is: Why isn´t this sponsered by Curiosity Stream?
Thank you 💞
I love this I had a fight with a friend today logic taught me to go on RUclips now the answer is found
What if you become curious to check out a video on curiosity... oh yeah, all of us here did that... >;D
Edit: A very fitting quote I saw once fits into this topic... "A curious mind is never bored." ;)
Came from Life noggin and got my dose of dopamine while watching these 2 videos
What's the name of the music in the beginning? You can hear it most at 0:43
It's very nice, ... of course, the video too.
I read Feyman in my first years of university and check what they say in the video.
You left us with a cliff-hanger last video.
Curiosity killed the cat. Then those even more curious then skinned it and baked it into a meatloaf to see what it taste like. A little rough I know.
SonOfAKing but satisfaction brought it back
Did Jade from Up and atom help you with the animations? Some of them look like hers!
Yes! I have worked with her on my last few videos ☺️
binky2819 aaay I see another question!
Where can I learn more about the 4 dimensions of curiosity - as shown in the graphic?
In this book: Why? What Makes Us Curious by Mario Livio amzn.to/2FBp6je
And also in this paper you can read more about how psychologist Daniel Berlyne defined the types of curiosity: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4635443/
tbh if you ask me why i did something weird my answer like 90% of the time would be curiosity, curiosity is like one of the things that defines the most the way i act and think
Can you Vanessa please gave a list of videos used in this videos? I'm curious. And... what if copyright was bad word?
Here's a question. Is the opening set a bar that serves ONLY vodka in bottles without labels, or is it what a regular bar looks like the day after St. Pats?
Great intiative
This reminds me of lyrics from my favorite band:
“Was wäre wenn sind dumme Fragen. Was wirklich zählt ist das jetzt und hier.“
It's true, but do much less interesting. So, what if you found out the meaning of the quote yourself?
If you don't like Richard Feynman..
then go somewhere else.
Maybe to another universe where physicists are more boring.
Great video. Anyone else have slightly odd sounding audio?
Yah
Came from LifeNoggin :)
Fedora same!
This also demonstrates the power of sound proofing your walls...
Kurzgesagt! Life Noggin! Vsauce! They're all here, I watched all of their videos and I love it!
Same feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
P.S. Curiosity killed unknowing. And gave birth to -¡¡.
I ask a lot of questions too, most of it apparently to ridiculous or impractical to the point of annoying other people. I got berated a lot for innocent enquiries
0:46
Out of curiosity... Mic bump?
loved vase moment (:
STEM life coach audition status: You're hired
Peaks right around the time kids enter elementary school; I wonder if there's a correlation there...
Did you know there are (mainly) four groups of curious people? I did a little research and found that the four gropus are: Fascinated, Problem Solvers, Empathizers and Avoiders ;) #EverWondered
lmao im going to be a genius one day bc of all the questions i ask about almost everything
Why do high pitched not music noises make me immediately mute the video and read the captions? And you tube is not getting a passing grade for their interpretations of speech with the captioning robot either.
Is this Michell from *VSause* ?
What if people never subscribe BrainCraft and LIfe Noggin and Vsauce channel on RUclips? What if people never have the power if curiosity?
What happens when you play video games
You gain xp
did Feynman predict flash drives?
Question: What if braincraft was #1 youtuber (life noggin's curiosity)
Answer: Then no one would watch youtube. Cuz people need some funny and quality content. And thats why pewdiepie is the #1 youtuber. Cuz he makes quality content.
I was watching anime then an ostrich showed up in that sounding like a kite.
+Then I realized I don't know how ostrich sound like.
Then in a second searching on RUclips a ostrich voice.
Huaahhhh and then I realized my curiosity is unstable and thinking is it good or bad.
Then again searching on RUclips "is curiosity bad?
And here I am
Fewww.. Ahh
Well anime I'm watching is" konosuba " .
Hmph. Everyone just tells me to hush up and stop asking questions, but I’m just tryna learn like anyone else. Come prepared.
0:28 you forgot "why doesn't anyone like me?"
See my teacher doesn't let me say to many what if questions
What if
You said What if
What happened to the craft part of brain craft?
Braincraft ≠ minecraft
Our intuitive faculties are connected to our perceptions which is connected to a matrix of possibilities. Our imaginative curiosity explores this matrix creating possible world scenarios that we compare with reality. Linear language creates our biggest disconnect from this matrix. My blog structureofconsciousness.weebly.com explains this theory. It is out of order though.
What if curiosity was curious
What if we were all animations? That's not actually my question but Blockos!
What if I was given an intranasal dose of vasopressin or oxytocin before watching this video?
4:11
what?
Why dont we write A whole library in genetic code? It would be way smaller than a head of a pin
1:07 I see the hidden question mark
What if... I said that I love brain and hypothalamus... And braincraft...
Higher the IQ, higher the curiosity.
0:31 According to Einstein the Earth accelerates towards the apple
I guess i am epistemic and diverse then... huh!
Tiny hard drives magic reveal
Saving your time. The Curiosity generates 110 watts.
I was talking about the rover and you are welcome. ^_^
**Vsauce has been joined the chat**
*Hey Vsause! Michael here.*
SPONGEBOB!!!SPONGEBOB!!!SPOOOOOOONGBOOOOOOOOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Life noggin.
What if we never went outside?? YOU ARE BEHIND COVID! I figured it all out!
What if you release your great videos more often, Vanessa? Well,, then I'll spend more time watching RUclips.... hmmm
i torture my gf with this technique...i just tell her:you know,i want to tell you something (after a minute)just forget it,maybe i tell you later but not now... :D
it`s their weakness...knowing half of a story
*👍*
What if there were a Labradoodle in this video?
I have failed you.
Never ;-)
What if I use my brain 100% ?
so gossiping is some kind of curiosity right?
Don't count on it being anything less pathetic.
Fire is hot.
🤔
What is over there?
