If missionaries attempt to pick up a relic they transform into having the relic on a cart which has the same speed as a normal monk. Perhaps a happy medium.
If the enemy is going heavy skirm to counter conqs, would not mixing in a few knights or light cavalry decimate them, as you pull your conqs back?

I wish you'd have talked about the economic deficit factor given that you spent 1100W on military/relics (not counting CA) after being later to castle age. Does halb opening even help you there? He just waits for hc?
