No matter what they do and no matter what the current scores say, they will never place above 5th with these kinds of shows. They need a top to bottom staff change. They need to swing for the fucking fences in their staff hiring. When all ur doing is placing between 4th and 6th every year by writing "average" shows ur never going to get to the top. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. And it's sad that the man in power does not see that. Where is Jeff Fiedler when u need him. It's like they really don't give a fuck about winning anymore. They r just doing shows for the sake of fun. They r really suffering from a loss of identity. This is not the "Green Machine" I fell in love with in the early 2000s. And u honestly can't change my mind with the whole "but the art form is evolving" argument. Yes, the art form is evolving, but the Cavaliers r not doing a great job of trend setting and adapting to the changes. They r no longer on the "cutting edge". They continue on the path of moving away from the identity that made them unstoppable with shows like 01, 02, 04, 08 and so on. Every year for the last 5 to 7 years I keep hoping that the staff comes to their fucking senses. And every year I am disappointed. Every year it gets tougher and tougher to like them. These r fun shows. And the guys do what they can to perfect the show. But if u polish a turd, it's still going to be a turd no matter what.
Max Cherkasskikh wouldn’t it be nice if one corps can ditch the props and just go for old fashioned drill and music. Not everyone has to follow the trends. That corps can be the Cavies.
@@jjh2456 the moment a core decides to do that they are not going to place high at all. Visually it wouldnt be as good compared to drill with props because that's honestly not how it works anymore. The more shit on the field the better is how it is and honestly I'm glad it's that way. The activity has evolved and there really isnt anything you can do about it. Making a core do just drill for effect isnt going to draw in new members. It only will cause a group to fail because that's not what's in
Jose Hill Have you seen Scouts 19? They did exactly that and didn’t have great results on the score card. It was a good show, but that doesn’t make it a high scoring show.
Ah yes, this was the show about fema camps that year. Cavaliers play well versed conductors, directing the masses onto trains in flight to the local decommissioned walmart/ femacamp. The waste drums stand for the radioactive cocktail of a vaccine awaiting the clueless crowds. A stage prop, metaphor for playing out an act ie nothing is as it seems. Their guard are crisis actors, selling the public on the next chess piece in the nwo playbook.
