Excellent video! I believe this is probably the main reason most of us are having issues with these after market pumps. It actually makes a lot of sense because the flat arm angle is so flimsy I doubt if they are keeping the tolerances in production. Thanks for doing this video 👌🏽
I just subscribed the reason I subscribed is because your not long winded you get to the point and that’s the kind of advice I’m looking for and I value you talked just enough to show personality without annoyance if I knew where you were I would send you some batteries for your clock keep them coming Thank you
Oh man I wish I would have seen this video before, I replaced the sending unti on my toyota pick up with an original oem part and the freaking thing dials 1/4 while empty.
Great video as always, bud!! I’m working on a LSA blower on my LS3 and need to change my in tank regulator to Aeromotive boost reference regulator at the rail as a return. Do you T off the feed line or use the rail test port? Any difference?
I need your help desperately. I have a 1998 honda crv. Lately the low fuel light stopped working. However my gauge works fine and my pump works fine. Because my cars pump and fuel sending unit is together in one assembly the mechanics tell me to replace the entire assembly. Problem is we can not find one anymore. Can this low fuel light be fixed without a new assembly? If i leave it the way it is will the non working fuel light make my pump go bad ?
Hello bro , I have same issues with sending unit dakota digital sw 33 - installed onto chevy caprice 1990 OE - while testing out the tank its great but when install it inside its slow reading and not correctly read - any recommendations ? Even that I adjust fuel level many times with measurement the distance and deep.
My 2004 Nissan Frontier recently started showing 3/4 full at a full tank fill. I have had this truck since new and I have never messed with it. I assume I just need to replace the pump due to age?
while im driving my gauge will go down a few ticks and go back up to where it was before (i thought i was going crazy at first but it’s definitely moving up and down), will this fix that or is it a different problem?
My gauge goes up and down with acceleration and deceleration. Why does it do that? How to fix it? What stops the float from moving up and down with the gas as the vehicle accelerates and decelerates? Thanks for all and any help.
My fuel gauge literally works backwards. Low fuel might covers on when I full up and it runs out when it hits full. How do I reverse that. The is no video anywhere or no mention by anyone on RUclips.
K is this a stock sending unit? it could be the wires are crossed. i would get another sending unit and test it outside the tank to see if it read accurate.. keep me posted..

i would give DD a call.. it could be anything from the sending unit to the not sitting properly in the tank..

does the Nissan have everything in contained in the bucket?
my manual calls for 3ohms full/80ohms empty the replacement unit I received reads 6.5omhs full/82.5 empty will that cause an issue ?

How are you liking the pump? I'm debating on getting the dual 340 for my sierra.
love it.. looking to do it again o my next build..
Hey Terry,
Your tank appears to be level when out of the vehicle but is it level when in the vehicle and fully resting on its suspension?
no my truck has a rake to it..
2007 6.2 Yukon Denali put 340 pump in But gauge stay right around full will not move...plzz help what I need to do.
did you test it before putting the tank back in? the float might be stuck on something.. is the tank back in the truck?
I filled my tank all the way up two days ago, it's still on full ain't moved wtf
My gauge goes up and down with acceleration and deceleration. Why does it do that? How to fix it? What stops the float from moving up and down with the gas as the vehicle accelerates and decelerates? Thanks for all and any help.
a baffle.. what type of tank are you running? a aftermarket?
Nice info!
Much appreciated.. thanks
My Chevy Colorado the sending unit wears out all the time.
wow.. i wonder why?

I think this would happen of you put the wire in from the opposite side. Unscrew it and put it in the other way and see what happens.
iam going to try that my tank can be full and my gauge won't go haft full
some time you have to bend the rod until it reads correct.
It's too bad they don't make a stock fuel tank with a drain on the bottom!
thats would make it easy for people to steal gas i guess.. great idea.. lolol
@@Coverman66 That depends on how low you car is. It's better than having them cut a fuel line.
Ohhhh come on!!!!!
What your name on Facebook
terrylsx or terry wilson
just put another sender in
when you have a custom build you have to sometimes modify the rod for it to read accurate.
