@@sofoclesmefisto It's always great to go back to one's roots for sure! Thanks again!!
Love you man !! You outdid yourself !!! The Straightener is the song that made me want to pick a guitar and play. As a 13 year old in 76 I got my father to buy me a cheap electric . Living in the suburbs and no one to learn from back in those days - no RUclips no nothing - I thought that tuning the guitar with a fork tuner was the only thing that you could do to a guitar .. with a cheapy turn table I would scratch the hell out of the records in an endless quest to figure songs out like these , When the Levee Breaks etc ..but , no matter how much I tried I could not sound right ! I though I was the shit when I could almost play Electric Funeral !!🤣🤣🤣!!! So glad I found your channel and btw I thought the purple visuals for this video was awesome --reminds me of my basement with black lights and black light posters to stare at while high from weed 🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!

Oh, WeeWee Bedstain, you mean... ? 😂 Ahh, just kidding - I dig his earlier work for sure. But for me, the whole intent on doing the covers that I do is to play what I hear on the records to the best of my ability. The fun for me is figuring them out. Cheers, and thx for your comment!
All your Sabbath covers are killer ! Have you covered The writ ? Could you cover some of the technical ecstasy (Gypsy, Dirty Women, You won’t change me) or Never say die albums ? Or some Dio or Martin era songs ! Thanks !
Thanks so much for your super kind comments - really makes doing these worthwhile! For sure I'll be doing both Gypsy and Dirty Women, and have a killer one from Never Say Die coming up very soon. Also Dio era in the future. I'll have to revisit the Tony Martin era stuff as it's been some time since I've heard it, but I'm not opposed to it.
@thanks for your kind reply. Yes the Martin era albums are often overlooked. I like them all except maybe forbidden only a few tracks. Eternal Idol is killer from beginning to the end. Headless cross and Tyr have their great moments also (Headless Cross and Anno Mundi for exemple). Cross Purposes is like a sequel to Dehumanizer , really interesting stuff, it’s obvious Iommi listened to bands like Soundgarden and Alice In Chains (that were influenced by BS how ironic)… Iommi solo albums are fine too. I really like the closing track on fuse, I go insane, it definitely has this Sabbath vibe of the old days in the monster songs like Wheels of Confusion or Megalomania.

@@ThibautKurt23 Excellent! I have them all; I will definitely revisit. As a huge Gillan fan I also have a fondness for Born Again, although I'd love to hear it remixed. I'm sure you know, but it's often overlooked that Iommi and Gillan worked together before, releasing the "So What" album, which definitely has its moments.
@yes born again has really interesting stuff. I love the title track. At first I did not like the album but I really think the mix is the only problem. Iommi never disappoints. By the way do you know the band Pentagram? If not I suggest you listen to the compilation of their 70s songs « first daze here » and there official first album « Relentless », sure you will like it
