The Marquis of Death has acquired huge amounts of reputation over the years for being one of the strongest mutants around. Beings such as Thanos, Galactus, and Eternity don't even hold a candle to him as a result. From typical human to an ascended god, Clyde Wyncham went through billions of years of experience to eventually obtain his final form, the Marquis himself.
So, how powerful is he? Is he the strongest mutant?

To cover some questions and to add on to the discussion quickly:
1. Matthew Malloy does have several statements that imply he would become "the strongest mutant", but statements that are barely backed up will fall short compared to feats & statements, which Marquis and Franklin both have plenty of. You could scale Matthew from the other mutants, but his full potential is extremely vague.
2. Since I didn't have much time, I forgot to mention Hyperstorm (Franklin's child) and Legion, but they are also in the conversation for being the strongest mutant.
3. Protege and Mad Jim Jaspers also have incredible feats, but Protege is not a mutant, while Jaspers, although a multiversal level-mutant, hasn't done feats on the level of controlling an M-body abstract. Fury is also not a mutant.

Best feat is to fight on Par with Eternity 616.He is pretty damn strong.There are many Hell-lords that have their own realm like Dormamu.He would definitely get stomped by Anthing From Shuma Gorath and Beyond
Mmm, you sure about that? When Dormammu fought evenly with Eternity, Dormammu was in his weakest incarnation. As he’s gotten stronger, Dormammu has defeated The Trinity of Ashes, beings that equal The Vishanti that were stated in a guidebook to be capable of wiping out the entire multiverse and creating a new one. He’s also beaten Slorioth, who not only threatens Eternity by simply existing, but was a threat so major that an M-Body of The Living Tribunal was needed to step in. And at the peak of his power, Dormammu has defeated and killed Multi-Eternity (albeit with the help of Umar, but she’s only relative to less than 10% of Dormammu’s full power). The other Hell Lords don’t even hold a candle to Dormammu, Mephisto has basically cucked down to Dormammu in the past and even with four of the Hell Lords banded together in Mephisto’s realm, they couldn’t even defeat Dormammu and they had to BFR him. And on top of all that, Dormammu knows all of Classic Doctor Strange’s spells, and some of these spells have allowed Strange to fight evenly with Shuma-Gorath and briefly match The Infinity Gauntlet.

Why do powerful reality warping mutants have names beginning with "M"?, is there some kind of house of M they all come from?.
Franlin Richards doesn't begin with M.
Wow I'd just noticed of that. Plus we keep an open mind the writer's also give a plot twist device to someone killed all three of those characters off. Mad jim Jasper's from 616 is about to play dice with the marvel Omnivers but only why. to stop him is to talk him out existence and killed of there. But the writer's also say he is so powerful their dont know what to do with mad jim Jasper. Just like with Matthew Morley. Professor X did something so horrifying and wrong he with back to make sure his parents dont meet to have him. So he didtn just mess up with one life but also two more soulmates. And yeah now with marquis of Death well we all know their stop him with a big Plot twist.

TheMrNathwoz yeah Darwin is pretty underrated and not that many people know about him but he is one of the most op characters in fiction since he can adapt to anything
Didn’t World War Hulk pretty casually knock him out? Ya he got Hella’s death touch now but he hasn’t shown many great feats outside of adaptational survival. Sure he can survive some hax but he isn’t that powerful overall.
Scätman world war hulk didn’t knock him out it’s just his powers teleported him away from. Darwin can’t really control his powers, his body will just do anything to keep him alive. I believe the only reason his body teleported is because hulk kept growing in strength so it had to keep adapting then it just teleported away, but if hulk wasn’t growing stronger and stayed at a certain strength Darwin would have propably won.

Since it's really hinted at that they're dimensions and universes then yes yhwatch is basically omniscient and omnipotent (i'm not counting the one shot of kubo that implies the existence of other soul societies based on other mythologies because that makes it multidimensional).

I agree with you. I can count 10 different universes/dimensions mentioned in Bleach. If we include Burn The Witch then there is even more. Gremmy opened a Galaxy room which was full of stars and Galaxies and this was just the contents of one of the Universes. Yhwach stated that he was going to destroy all of those universes and then recreate them all fused into one universe. He even stated he was going to destroy the "Concepts" of Life and Death themselves and in his new universe there would be no more life or death. But these Multiversal - Conceptual feats and statements isn't what makes him capable of defeating Marque of Death; It's his All-Mighty time hax and Abortion ability that makes him virtually unbeatable. Yhwach has shown the ability to use both these abilities with great effectiveness even when he deemed his opponent to be far more powerful than he was he was still able to use his All-Mighty time hax on them or instantly absorb all of there power for his own leaving his foe completely depowered and helpless. That's the reason why I think even if he were to hypothetically face a being in Marvel or DC verse with a higher Destructive Capacity (DC) he would still win and then be even more powerful after the fight then what he was before he began.

This is exactly what happens. The plot of this story is truly awe-inspiring. When I first read it, I was mind blown by the extreme length that Doom went to, to pull it off. Even though it was already strongly established that Doom is a man of extremes, no hero in the story can hold a candle to his sheer determination.
Yeah he left out that important piece of information. But this also implies that this version of doctor doom may be even more powerful than his God emperor incarnation.

Nice, especially given that there isn't that much attention towards the Marquis nowadays its really awesome to see him adressed.
If this is the place for suggestions for potential future characters in the series:
Dr Doom (given you talked quite a bit about Doom this time, it'd be cool)
Phoenix force (in regard to its various hosts and who'd be most attuened/powerful with the bird)
Morgoth (assuming you have read into the LotR lore)
Dante (there has been a DmC game lately, and I've seen a lot of controversy around Dantes placement in power scaling)
Trigon (similar to the Marquis, he isn't adressed a lot lately)

Its tricki to figure out if Dante could overright Alucards regen... or get the drop on him if EOS Alucard (post-Schroedinger) 🤔 if Dante has all styles/weapons he should take Alucard out before he can release his restraints. Other than that Dante should also be faster, stronger though his regen is probably not on Alucards level...

That's the problem with OP characters they would basically ruin any story arc they were written into because they could end it all instantly. Marquis, Franklin Richards, Sentry/Void, Spectre, Beyonder, Molecule Man and so on. They end up conveniently being in another galaxy or dimensions during major conflicts. That or they make eccentric or child like characters such as Mxyzptlk who like toy with or play games with lesser beings, using their power to lord of them like an owner and his pets.

Let's assume that he got the power of infinite versions on that level.
He's Infinite 3D which places him at the very least 2 Dimensional Tiers below Marquis of Death
There’s still a few things unmentioned.
-the fantastic four defeated the marquis of death through an amp. They amped themselves with the power of all of their alternate universes selves.
-Johnny storm went to Planck temperature which Reed explains is hot enough to break down space and time which would cancel out his powers
-Clyde was definitely a lot less experience but considering his age and and the fact that he was able to conquer space and time after he had been released I’m not sure that makes that much of a difference.
Agreed it could of been much better written but it isn’t as bad as made out.
When it comes to Mutants there is a Top 3 and Matthew Malloy is included on it. He was so powerful that the Cosmic Entity Death, who is on the same level if not a higher level than Eternity, could not hold him. SHIELD dropped nukes on him and eradicated him so thoroughly not even ashes remained and he RECONSTITUTED himself and brought his soul back from the land of Death all on his own power. The only way to stop him was to go back in time and prevent his conception.
Well Omega level mutants are kinda common in the X-MEN comics in my opinion, u forgot her name but she can go back in time.
She did that to help kill a Omega level mutant that proffeser Xavier kept hidden from everyone

The Human Torch went Planck temperature. This is literally so hot that reality starts to break down.
If I remember correctly the FF4 absorbed the powers from all of their alternate counterparts from the multiverse. So Ben Grimm punched him with infinite Clobbers too. I think they only had 4 seconds to accomplish this too and It still didn't kill the Marquis of Death. It just weakened him to the point of Doom (with millions of years of prep time) to step in and finish the job.
