That would be a good match. Sentry has come back even from molecule man erasing him (though sentry magically getting his power too was pretty cheap) and when morhan la fey went back into the main marvel timeline and killed reynolds before he took the serum. I dont think a full powered franklin could be killed, but i would like to see how the sentry could measure up. Especially this new one

@@morningstar9285 I'm pretty sure it is and Bendis was the one who created him. I do have two issues with different origins, one in the "Classic Marvel" style and one with more modern art. The whole gimmick with The Sentry is that he was there the whole time and no-one remembered anything about him. He didn't actually exist in comics until around the mid 00's.

You forgot the zombie sentry feat... When there was no people left to eat, he punched in the sixth dimension to enter in Heaven and eat all heavenly souls... Even TOAA couldn't do anything but just threw him to another dimension just to save other souls.

I really like Sentry because he is a extremely complex character we need more those types in general and not stereotyping them but understand their complexity of character
Sentry is Hulk's friend, Hulk was not really trying and took it easy on him just like he said to Dr strange in Heart of the monster. "We need the power you had when we fought", Hulk, "I was holding back".

Awesome video man. I think you covered the character well. He certainly scales to guys like Thor, and beats them low difficulty when stable. And I am really glad you mentioned that the molecule man feat should not be used to gauge his power. So many people try to say he is like beyonder or LT level based on that when it is even more inconsistent than spider man keeping up with silver surfer, or SSJ4 Goku cutting his hand on glass. I do hope that the new version of sentry gets more story, since he's kinda hard to pinpoint now, yet is a very interesting idea conceptually at least.

Ty for covering Sentry ppl don't know the power of that guy and the interesting concepts of his mind being his weakness. What makes Sentry so interesting is you might battle alongside him but you don't know what will happen you might be fighting that guy later or he might just stall out or leave. He is very interesting because of that also dangerous because this is a guy you don't want to fight against you you just don't.
One thing about the Blue Marvel fight: the whole area was filled with Negative Zone energies, which is one of Unstable Sentry's weakness. There are few important things which were left out - specially about his powers. And some of the ranking is terrible. Sentry is below that. But pretty good video. And finally a video which doesn't downplay or trash the Sentry.
The sentries power set is essentially similar to what Silver age Superman power set was but without any Reliance on oh I need to avoid red sunlight otherwise is going to make me weak almost instantly. It boils down to he can do pretty much anything he bloody well pleased is and he'll remember powers from out of nowhere and forget them almost as easily
@@cheeseburgerfreddy6350 Hulk beat him. After their slugfest banner knocked Bob out and Hulk was able to go workdbreaker shortly after that fight with no signs of fatigue. Hulk/Banner won. Also, I firmly recall Thor breaking Sentrys neck in a comic issue I had a few years ago. He definitely lost against both before. Trying to degrade those losses doesn't change that fact. It's not to say Sentry isn't extremely powerful to begin with. It's simply false to say he's undefeated.

The way I see Sentry and The Void is like a Bruce Banner and Hulk situation. Like The Void is what happens when The Sentry Hulks out. Plus it would be cool if The Void is an aspect of Oblivion.
Sentry needs to be in the MCU. As a character guided by the avengers. He gets a movie or two of his own and is one their greatest heroes. Then slowly but surely his psyche starts to crack. He eventually loses his mind and then becomes the greatest threat they have ever faced. This coupled with the fact that he knows all the avengers weaknesses would make him a truly terrifying foe.

I'm a huge fan of both Hulk and Sentry. ( doing more Sentry reading though. ) I can definitely agree in World Breaker Hulk that Sentry was not at full strength but writers often fluctuate that. To me it was cool as hell to see my favorite marvel characters Duke it out and essentially come to a stalemate. Though it was as you said, a Sentry with no seeming traces of The Void. It would have been really cool if they fought again during Heart of the Monster.

Well that is lietally what any other human would do if they were suffering from such things. Some times the Voids grip over Bob is wider, sometimes Bob is able to keep him at bay for good. It's perfectly acceptable as justification. Superman for example is a character with massive inconsistent power and feats, because he never has a valid or even near-logical explaination for what he does. Writers literally don't give a flying shit about that. And that of course is something that is not positive for DC, but hey fanboy can't see other than stupid feats as long as their fav character is involved...

He requires attention to idicate why his powers are where they are at any given time and when he shows up in stories that arent his the writers just use him as a mcguffin exactly because they can rely on the excuse that hes just sad rn or something thats why hes weak in this fight and hes feelin himself in that fight so hes stronger. Without making it clear most of the time or dedicating a few scenes to him and his mental state, there are defenitely times when the writers pay attention but it isnt the norm for the sentry. Thats the problem, its common for writers to fuck up characters that make guest appearances in comics but The Sentry gets repeat fucked up by people who use him as an out.
Thanks for doing this video, Chuck. So many people sleep on Sentry (and especially Blue Marvel). I mean, this man has the power (Void) to destroy and kill every living being in the universe. Which he's done in the alternate universe's version of the Siege story you've mentioned. And that "What if?" story is a must read for those who haven't. It's actually kinda scary with the shit he does. Like killed literally every hero and villain on Earth, grew to the size of the planet, and just tore it apart. Then went on to destroy everything and everyone else. Minus cosmic entities, I think. I just can't wait to see how power the new Sentry is. The one who is finally working together with the Void. Btw, speaking of FTL speeds, the JL comic just released where (Earth 0) Superman flew the fastest he's ever flew before. He flew through ever star he saw to boost his power. Oh, and then, he went on to knock the Forger of the universe the fuck out. A VASTLY powerful being who's the brother of the Monitor. Molecule Man, when he fought the Sentry, was much weaker than he is now. He NEVER fought the Beyonders. The Beyonders were instantly killed by Doom's trap and Molecule Man had absorbed the power of their entire race. Awesome video man. I think you covered the character well. He certainly scales to guys like Thor, and beats them low difficulty when stable. And I am really glad you mentioned that the molecule man feat should not be used to gauge his power. So many people try to say he is like beyonder or LT level based on that when it is even more inconsistent than spider man keeping up with silver surfer, or SSJ4 Goku cutting his hand on glass. I do hope that the new version of sentry gets more story, since he's kinda hard to pinpoint now, yet is a very interesting idea conceptually at least.

Also, I firmly recall Thor breaking Sentrys neck in a comic issue I had a few years ago. He definitely lost against both before. Trying to degrade those losses doesn't change that fact. It's not to say Sentry isn't extremely powerful to begin with. It's simply false to say he's undefeated.

Sentry needs to be in the MCU. As a character guided by the avengers. He gets a movie or two of his own and is one their greatest heroes. Then slowly but surely his psyche starts to crack. I'm a huge fan of both Hulk and Sentry. ( doing more Sentry reading though. ) I can definitely agree in World Breaker Hulk that Sentry was not at full strength but writers often fluctuate that. To me it was cool as hell to see my favorite marvel characters Duke it out and essentially come to a stalemate. Though it was as you said, a Sentry with no seeming traces of The Void. It would have been really cool if they fought again during Heart of the Monster.
At some point was implied that Sentry was connected to a God-like entity, as if he was the wrath of God or something like that.

Well that is lietally what any other human would do if they were suffering from such things. Some times the Voids grip over Bob is wider, sometimes Bob is able to keep him at bay for good. It's perfectly acceptable as justification. Superman for example is a character with massive inconsistent power and feats, because he never has a valid or even near-logical explaination for what he does. Writers literally don't give a flying shit about that. And that of course is something that is not positive for DC, but hey fanboy can't see other than stupid feats as long as their fav character is involved...

He requires attention to idicate why his powers are where they are at any given time and when he shows up in stories that arent his the writers just use him as a mcguffin exactly because they can rely on the excuse that hes just sad rn or something thats why hes weak in this fight and hes feelin himself in that fight so hes stronger. Without making it clear most of the time or dedicating a few scenes to him and his mental state, there are defenitely times when the writers pay attention but it isnt the norm for the sentry. Thats the problem, its common for writers to fuck up characters that make guest appearances in comics but The Sentry gets repeat fucked up by people who use him as an out.

Thanks for doing this video, Chuck. So many people sleep on Sentry (and especially Blue Marvel). I mean, this man has the power (Void) to destroy and kill every living being in the universe. Which he's done in the alternate universe's version of the Siege story you've mentioned. And that "What if?" story is a must read for those who haven't. It's actually kinda scary with the shit he does. Like killed literally every hero and villain on Earth, grew to the size of the planet, and just tore it apart. Then went on to destroy everything and everyone else. Minus cosmic entities, I think.
I just can't wait to see how power the new Sentry is. The one who is finally working together with the Void. I can only imagine. Definitely more powerful that Death Seed Sentry, imo.

The only reason a touhou Character isn't in a deathbattle is because of how OP they are
Dio vs Sakyua would be fun but I think Etna (Disgaea) Vs Marisa (Touhou) would be a better Touhou match up
Both are the player 2/sidekicks to the main character, both are pretty dang strong, both would rob you blind and both are just more fun than the main character
Also I feel like battles with jojo's characters are just overdone and onesided as jojo's is not really a tough verse
