- If you're a big fan of Marvel Comics, you might have heard about the character known as Sentry, the man with the power of one million exploding suns. He has fought characters such as the Hulk, Thor, and even Galactus himself! His abilities include super strength, speed, matter manipulation, telepathy, insane regeneration, and much more!
The Sentry has such a convoluted origin that it definitely makes it hard to determine how strong he really is. However, I decided to go over the vast majority of his appearances to help determine his power more accurately. So, is Sentry stronger than characters such as The Hulk and Thor? How strong is Sentry? Watch the video to find out!

Sentry "going all out" doesn't mean he was mentally stable, therefore he was not fighting at his full potential. A stable or Merged Sentry would have slapped Worldbreaker Hulk. Stop the fanboyism.

He's the kind of strong you have Franklin Richards on speed dial for, just in case.
That would be a good match. Sentry has come back even from molecule man erasing him (though sentry magically getting his power too was pretty cheap) and when morhan la fey went back into the main marvel timeline and killed reynolds before he took the serum.
I dont think a full powered franklin could be killed, but i would like to see how the sentry could measure up. Especially this new one

@@morningstar9285 I'm pretty sure it is and Bendis was the one who created him. I do have two issues with different origins, one in the "Classic Marvel" style and one with more modern art. The whole gimmick with The Sentry is that he was there the whole time and no-one remembered anything about him. He didn't actually exist in comics until around the mid 00's.

You forgot that sentry in his fight with blue marvel was being weakened by negative energy leaking from the negative zone which is impressive because the guy stalemated blue marvel while he was weakened and didn't have the void with him

Sentry is Hulk's friend, Hulk was not really trying and took it easy on him just like he said to Dr strange in Heart of the monster.

The WWH Hulk Bio states that hulk didn't hold back against Sentry and let's not ignore the fact sentry was mentally unstable and about to destroy earth and everyone on it, Hulk isn't more powerful than the sentry hence why he actually had to convince Sentry to stop or else everything would be gone.

L0ST S0UL blue marvel is most definitely more powerful than Superman. Multiple powers as well as energy absorption. He is like marvels Martian Manhunter. If Sentry gets mad enough, he could kill Superman, as shown in the vid, he has extreme regeneration and molecule manipulation

Pre-retcon moleculeman and PR Beyonder are above Sentry. The scan you showed was a heavily nerfed molecule man who is nothing like he used to be.
That version of MM is still extremely powerful and has shook the multiverse in his fight with post retcon Beyonder and he's a universal threat so still a good feat.
Post retcon molecule man has universal to multiversal feats on top of that the writers of dark avengers confirmed that molecule man wasn't neferd or holding back it was the molecule man we all know some people came up with the theory that he was weak by his mental state with some barriers but that's not true and it was debunked on top of that molecule man was powerful enough to fight the beyonders the beyonders aren't as powerful as the original one but still they destroyed the whole marvel omniverse smashing all the realities and sentry survived all that being in the middle of it sentry definitely is amoung the top 5 most powerful beings in the Marvel universe

Molecule Man, when he fought the Sentry, was much weaker than he is now. He NEVER fought the Beyonders. The Beyonders were instantly killed by Doom's trap and Molecule Man had absorbed the power of their entire race. Sentry also DIDN'T survive the destruction of the Marvel multiverse, not omniverse, he wasn't even in the fucking comics at that point. He last showed up in Siege like 5 years before Secret Wars smh the extend to which stupid children will go wank their characters is crazy

Yo, great job on this video! It is easy to see that you put a lot of effort into this video, that's for sure.
Awesome video man. I think you covered the character well. He certainly scales to guys like Thor, and beats them low difficulty when stable. And I am really glad you mentioned that the molecule man feat should not be used to gauge his power. So many people try to say he is like beyonder or LT level based on that when it is even more inconsistent than spider man keeping up with silver surfer, or SSJ4 Goku cutting his hand on glass. I do hope that the new version of sentry gets more story, since he's kinda hard to pinpoint now, yet is a very interesting idea conceptually at least.
He’s more powerful then Thor if anything unstable sentry vs Thor would be a 7/10 match up. If chuck says hulk would get slapped by sentry then shouldn’t Thor??
@@moonknight4053 of course. But Thor's godblast destroyed somone who had absorbed most of Odin's power so if Thor went all out he would probably win. He is almost skyfather level with the godblast
@@1973Ganesh we have something close to answers finally. A non holding back Thor ( like he was in his classic days) should still be above stable sentry. Merged sentry fought evenly with odinforce Thor. Herald king Thor however is much more powerful than any sentry.

Ty for covering Sentry ppl don't know the power of that guy and the interesting concepts of his mind being his weakness. What makes Sentry so interesting is you might battle alongside him but you don't know what will happen you might be fighting that guy later or he might just stall out or leave. He is very interesting because of that also dangerous because this is a guy you don't want to fight against you you just don't.
The sentries power set is essentially similar to what Silver age Superman power set was but without any Reliance on oh I need to avoid red sunlight otherwise is going to make me weak almost instantly. It boils down to he can do pretty much anything he bloody well pleased is and he'll remember powers from out of nowhere and forget them almost as easily
the guy got a dosage of captain America's syrome 10,000 times stronger and can destroy 1,000,000 sun's so does that mean the captain has the power of 100 suns

@@cheeseburgerfreddy6350 Hulk beat him. After their slugfest banner knocked Bob out and Hulk was able to go workdbreaker shortly after that fight with no signs of fatigue. Hulk/Banner won. Also, I firmly recall Thor breaking Sentrys neck in a comic issue I had a few years ago. He definitely lost against both before. Trying to degrade those losses doesn't change that fact. It's not to say Sentry isn't extremely powerful to begin with. It's simply false to say he's undefeated.

Yes, Godzilla! I was actually going to ask if you would powerscale the Big G. KOTM was dope, I've seen it twice already.
One thing about the Blue Marvel fight: the whole area was filled with Negative Zone energies, which is one of Unstable Sentry's weakness.
There are few important things which were left out - specially about his powers. And some of the ranking is terrible. Sentry is below that.
But pretty good video. And finally a video which doesn't downplay or trash the Sentry.

The way I see Sentry and The Void is like a Bruce Banner and Hulk situation. Like The Void is what happens when The Sentry Hulks out. Plus it would be cool if The Void is an aspect of Oblivion.
I'm a huge fan of both Hulk and Sentry. ( doing more Sentry reading though. ) I can definitely agree in World Breaker Hulk that Sentry was not at full strength but writers often fluctuate that. To me it was cool as hell to see my favorite marvel characters Duke it out and essentially come to a stalemate. Though it was as you said, a Sentry with no seeming traces of The Void. It would have been really cool if they fought again during Heart of the Monster.

@white america's worst nightmare i respect your opinion but with all due respect i have to disagree with you kenshiro is really op like raoh his brother destroyed an entire city with one hand so imagine how powerful kenshiro is and plus in manga kenshiro did a lot of impressive stuff like destroying a tank with his bare hands or his fight against raoh in the movie the entire city is getting destroyed just of there aura alone and also he can dodge gunfire and guns dont hurt him anyway and he has ki based attacks like dragon ball and super human strength and speed and awareness and superhuman everything not to mention his musou tensei that makes him Semi unbeatable i played the games and watched the anime and the ova's and the manga and movies so ik how strong is kenshiro and believe me a lot of ppl underestimate him
Kenshiro is pretty weak though
He would get layed out by quite a bit of characters and is not even strong enough to solo naruto
He would get bodied by guys like Prince Laharl (Disgaea), Madara uchiha (naruto), Discord (my little pony), Danny phantom (Danny phantom) and pretty much anybody that can destroy planets or has decent hax
