She is a beast, regardless of any MINOR deductions given to her by the judges. This woman, is pure perfection, and in her own words, "just needs to believe in herself more." She has been through and yet overcome so much. I can't even begin to imagine the weight on her shoulders! Yet she has inspired, and continues, and will continue to inspire generations of gymnasts to come. Thank you, Simone! You are beautiful, and human, and that makes you perfect in my eyes ❤ I could (and have) watched you every day since you made your debut on the world stage. You know your worth, as does the rest of the world.
Don't understand why she got such deduction in comparison to day 1 the she had wobble in the mount and on wolf turn, but day 2 execution was much better and judges give her inferior score. That routine deserves 15.
Please don't get me wrong, she is BEYOND great, effortless. Skills are amazing. Only thing the routine looks like the same one she's done for years now. It is the same? Or just some same tricks? Regardless the routine is great but always looking forward to new routine
The Mount is new actually, she used to just get on the beam but now has a pretty difficult Mount series. But yes some of the routine (acro series and dismount) she’s been doing for 10 years
She really does a fabu job... I was watchin from the mountain top and like she came at the screen like a tiger all ROWR! And like a smurf dun did shot out the cannon and then meow meow meow to the rooftops she spin on like lighting strike in the desert and then the rain came and it was so fresh like wow kweens! this the ISH!!! like taco bell can't do it like this here okurrrr!!!
She shines more on vault and floor. Her beam routine skills is on the same level as her competitors idk why she is praised so much for beam. I understand floor and vault. She rushes through her beam routine and her elements are not anything her competitors can’t do. Her dismount is the only thing that differentiates her. Also can we get rid of the wolf turn? It’s so ugly every gymnast does them so wobbly. Its a stupid skill.
So why did she win all her beam competitions since her comeback? She still has the higest d score on beam in the US, there is something called connections and she had lots of them
She’s won a beam medal in every single beam final she’s competed in. She is consistent with good execution and high difficulty, easy to see why she is praised. The highest valued skill on beam is the Biles speaks for itself
it's like little league where they don't keep score to protect the feelings of the team that would lose 15-0 - the gymnastics judges underscore her so her all-around score isn't miles ahead of second place. it's not right.
She is good but all the skills here were done long ago by Dawes and Shannon Miller and Catalina and silivas and Lashenova etc…. And they did it far better in form dance and grace on beam. She’s no Yang Bo…. I said what I said !! I don’t understand the big deal with her besides maybe vault. She is not that flexible, she can’t dance, she is not that artistic, her bars is meh … then you add she is on a floor 10 times as bouncy than in the past. She is on a new vault after 2000, she is on bars wider apart than ever, and a spring loaded beam. I mean if Dianne Disantos could have tumbled on this floor she would do even more than Simone as she was the springiest thing ever! I like watching Simone but she is far from the best ever in my book. She’d make my top 10 list maybe but the Soviets of the 80s n 90s who had about as much difficulty on way harder equipment were far superior in dance n choreo and artistic ability. Simone is just a trickster. There really is nothing else about her gymnastics. She doesn’t do all the details or choreo etc. and if the code required it like back in the day she wouldn’t be able to do it. Her compulsory would not score like Bogi lol or Dobre. There are tons better on bars. She can vault but something about the girls of today are missing that wow factor of dreamy presentation that you wanna watch over n over again. A total performance! Natalia frolova on floor or Baraksonova. The girls of today while gifted do not capture the imagination like the routines of yesterday that were other worldly. I’m sure you will just say ima hater of Simone. That’s not it at all … I jus again see her as a trickster and not much else I can say about her. But someone like Shannon Miller I can point to so so many things and features that are so special. I even prefer Okino to watch who had low difficulty! I miss all the little things n nuance of the sport. It’s really lacking. Every thing is so sloppy now and just rather meh in comparison. For this and the last code Simone is tops yes. If you like circus things n tricks then yes she does some crazy things. But I’m more about the beauty n form too and other aspects and she really is not a complete gymnast in those respects. But I’ve been watching since 1983 haha. I jus think the sport has gotten sorta ugly looking in the past decade and that must be the code so the gymnasts follow that so I get it but that golden age can’t be beat nor the women from it. She also benefits in other ways not just equipment… as worlds were only ever other year. So Simone’s collection is bigger simply cuz worlds are every year now. A lot has changed. And she is up there n a great no doubt but she is not the total package in many ways that people seem to have forgotten and overlook for whatever reason. Enjoy her power if you want which is nice! I’ll jus be over here idolizing my top 10 who have many other attributes she does not posses. Gym used to be more than short powerful n tricks. You had to have a lot more than just difficulty to be on top. And rightly so.
She won more medals than all those gymnasts you are sobbing about and does skills none of them could ever do and if you don't like bad landings, idk how you think Dos Santos was good

If say she does her work effortlessly but doesn't make it look that way. It looks anxiety inducing and therefore really hard. To me anyway.
The power, control, technique, concentration,and grace while making it look like it's easy is absolutely unbelievable!

0:32 during this skill she has at least 2 micro movements of her feet which incur a significant deduction to the skill & subsequent connection.
But I agree it was more than they should have.

No point in changing what works imo it’s still a difficult routine

Her composition has changed almost every year she's competed...lol
They are the same except the mount. She takes out all skills that gave her troubles in the past few years, so she has incredible consistency on beam.
It’s nothing her competition can’t do. Shilese does a full twist. To me that’s more impressive. Simone is capable of more.
