Baker 3 changes lives
Questionable Video changes lives
His stay gold part is my favorite video of all time!
Same here, it makes you feel good vibes
totally agree. but style wise Herman's part takes the cake.
mine too.
Dinosaur fossils
yeppp
The two random, "baker, baker" after the hollywood sack get me everytime hahaha
This episode hit me the hardest because I turned 30 at the end of last year and have been skating more than half my life, but this year was the first time I ever got seriously injured skating. I broke my ankle.
I thought the days of me getting legitimately hurt were behind me, considering I only skate the park now, but the broken ankle was a wake-up call for me that I can't keep doing this forever and that my body is and WILL fall apart someday. Since the break, I've been exercising and eating better and trying to be the best that I have ever been in my entire life. I want to get back on my board. I want that feeling, just one more time, before it's all over. So I'll get on that exercise bike and eat that salad and lift that dumbbell just so I can kickflip that one more time.
Thanks for keeping me inspired, Reynolds.
Hey dude just wondered how is your ankle doing ?
@@armin38822 First off, thanks for asking! Can't believe it's already been 4 years since I broke my ankle :(
So, I'm not gonna lie, it was a struggle getting back on the board. I'd say it took a solid year before I felt "ok" to go to the park and try things, but God DAMN, did it hurt if I didn't land perfectly. It hurt so much I seriously thought something was wrong, that I didn't heal correctly, and I was so scared to break it again. I slid back into some mild depression and didn't skate for several months because of it.
I'm better now. Everything down there works and I'm confident on the board, but now that so much time has past (and I have so little of it to begin with), I don't have near the bag of tricks I used to and I skate so rarely, it's hard for me to get those tricks back.
BUT, I'm still thankful that I can push around at all. There is nothing that can replace that feeling, and I'm glad I still can (when I have the time, haha)
@@dishwater63 Time sure does fly by very fast…
The pain probably comes from the fact that you didn't put
Some serious pressure on it for such a long time. It takes time to get that
Resistance again, something we take for granted when we're healthy.
Same thing happend for me when I broke my leg. When I started to walk again
It took me about 2 hours everyday before my feet stoped hurting.
And yes, depression can really set in if you are used to physicial activity and suddenly
You can't do it anymore. Is hard to finde another outlet.
Yeah, that happens when we start to age. If you want to skate, you got to feel rested
And is hard to do so if you have a job. That was at least my case.
Same here. I don't really skate anymore, but sometimes it just feels good to cruize around and do some bacis tricks. You feel the joy again, instead of before where I would be trying a trick for hours and still going home miserable. I also try to support young skaters as muc has I can. Sometimes I feel them, sometimes I try to give them motavtion, sometimes I buy them a deck,I give them my older skate clothes etc. I try to support the true local skate shops and so on…
Even if we don't skate, you can support the culture.
Reynolds' Stay Gold part is my favorite ever
Andrews part in Stay Gold is in my top 5 favorite parts, and Baker 3 changed my life
Stay Gold is the definition of perfection. It's impossible to watch that video and not be put instantly into a good mood.
"Baker has a Dathwish"... lol
is not a shame to say that the first time that i saw andrew. stay golds part, i cried. because of the song, the tricks, the whole part. and because a friend of mine died a few day early than the stay gold premier. and he couldnt get the chance to se his fav skater new part.
Twice as good, three times as good as that "Epicly Later'd" shit.
Lovin' these vids.
Show The Berrics some love, y'all,
I am Lee yea but epicaly laterd isn't done by skateboarders for skateboarders and they're old
soab made me cry, skate is passion, he deserves everything he is.
Reynolds stay gold is the best part ever. Shit makes me almost cry every time I watch it.
Il never forget meeting Andrew and shaking his hand.
this man is a gift to life and skateboarding
This almost made me cry.
His part in Stay Gold made me a little misty eyed when I saw it a local premier, it is almost the perfect skate part.
Andrew Reynolds is the best skater I ever see
This is my favorite series on The Berrics. You guys killed it with this. Andrew is one of my favorite skaters of all time. I'll never forget watching Stay Gold and Baker 3 for the first time and then the millions of other times after that. Baker 3 always got me hyped to skate and stuff I learned from it I still use to this day.
It's so funny when he says he doesn't just jump down shit like "Ahhh! ". Best part of this video. Andrew is a true athlete. Incredible human period.
My god watching this takes me back to 13, 14. Baker3 was and it is still amazing. Must of watched it tens of times back to back. Thank you Andrew for baker portraying real skateboarding. Down to his kickflips, his style was so smooth. Front side flips all day everyday!
love Andrew Reynolds
Beautiful part man, this series is awesome.
It's nice to see people who are able to let go of youth without becoming bitter.
His stay gold part is definitely my favorite out of all his parts as well. The Boss!
3:16 Notice how he does a nollie flip gesture with his hands. Sometimes I do the same, probably because I've tried doing some tricks with my hands and many other skaters do the same thing. Fascinating.
Reynolds changed my life!!👍
"I saw Jamie Ollie the gap, it looked big but it looked cool" how do you just think that and kick flip that?!?!? That's crazy
4:17 man such a damn perfect catch! i swear he caches those fs flips so fast
I actually have one of Andrews used band aids in a plastic container at my house.
I love you
Haha ha! thats fucking amazing
I can tell you that would probably creep him out a bit.
That BS 360 at 9:53 is literally god like. His style is just out of this world so steezey on everything. So glad I got to meet Reynolds back in 2014 most real dude ever
not only is his stay gold part his greatest part, its definitely a strong contender of "greatest video part of all time"
One of the only skaters you can hear him catch with his feet 'pop catch land' fucking love it...can't wait till ep 5...
Baker 3 was the most influential skate video during my time skateboarding. I was 15 when it released. That FS flip Hollywood high is just fucking epic. I still watch it from time to time to this day.
yeah reynolds straight up legend baker 4 life
I'll always have fond memories of the Baker 3 era! I guess you never really forget when you first started skating and the first videos that influenced your style
Andrew you've been my favorite skater form the beginning of my skate career thanks for all that you have done 🙏🏾🙏🏾👌🏿💯
All his video parts are still my favorite for sure
That stay gold part almost makes me cry. For real. So fucking good.
true inspiration
I was at the Baker 3 premiere in Dallas. One of my greatest memories.
Very inspiring to watch and hear his accounts..
even from a clip of his stay gold part i get goosebumps, he's the boss for a reason!
Reynolds is the boss!! His Skating is nuts!!
reynolds stay gold part made me cry!
Greatest Skater Of All Time
He plays it safe guys...
These vids are so sick. He really battled skateboarding in a heavy way
It almost sounded like he wanted to reward himself with a drink or something near the end if you listen but instead said coffee rather than chicken (last second change of mind).. Andrew has came along way battling with addiction and I respect these skaters along with Guy Marino. They don't learn just learn the worst outside of life but come back as the best in life.. All thanks to skateboarding, keep shredding friends
my favorite skater since i was a kidd ,probably the only skater i fallow on ig along with zero 🙏💪
THANK YOU!
Really digging this series! And I can honestly say Baker 3 is what really pushed me more into skateboarding. Like I was into it before but once I saw that I was hooked
Legendary
this was beautiful 😊
I look up to Andrew sooo much, the only other skater I look up to is jaws, Andrew just drives me to focus more and go Ollie down a 3 stair (cause I'm not that good).
GRACIAS
i have been waiting on a doc on him for 15 years
I'd like to see more of these with some different notable pros. This has been really awesome to watch.
"Baker has a Dathwish" at 5:46, pretty sloppy edit, Berrics!
"No i want fried chicken" lol
favorite skater all time from Birdhouse "The End".
11:41 , DA FCK, he sets his feet in the frontside flip almost like a heel flip, god dam
more and more from different og skaters. Not double og yet. we want more.
wish there were 10 of these
“Baker, Baker”😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
drew at 100% sick man from cordoba argentina grate inspiration
THE FUCKIN BOSS !!!
Damn!
Why would people dislike this?
4:14 who else can catch their flip trick down huge set off stairs LIKE THAT !?
I miss having that baker deck with bowie on it so much...does anyone know where to find one these days?!!?
12:15... That's why Andrew is the Boss.
"my skating is safe"
roll clip of him skating a 10 ft tall ledge
This series is fucking incredible
GOAT
I appreciate Andrew Reynolds. there's life after the party, if you WANT it.
If Thrasher asked me to do a Classics, Boss's Stay Gold part would be my pick
6:19 - "Dathwish" lol. They fucked up in editing
That's from baker has a deathwish tour.
