O-kay, this is insanely pretty on you. But I got something to add to it. You are absolutely right with everything you said. But there's a third trait to take into consideration which is the level of brighness/clarity of your own coloring and the color you're going for. (How much or how little grey is added to a color, the less the brighter, the more, the more muted it becomes.) While some people need smokey colors, others need brighter colors to really shine. E.g. I think you chose the absolutely correct level of brightness for your skin (which is fairly bright but not as bright as straight up orange, but brighter than a muted, only slightly coppery color). I for example am neutral-warm, light and fairly bright, but not the brightest ever. Very muted colors make me look dull, too bright of a color will overpower me. I personally love using the beige chocolate tones from the Igora lines, they are perfect for me. They pull a tad bit warmer when using the permanent color directly on my natural hair, but a bit cooler when I use the toners on bleached hair and the results on my natural hair suit me way better. Btw Schwarzkopf Igora is my favorite brand to work with. I currently wear the level 9.5 beige chocolate toner (on previously bleached hair) and after a week of daily washing it's the perfect tone and level of depth for me and my complexion. I find the toners pull darker with 1.9% developer. When I use 4% developer, they pull a bit lighter, I intentionally used 1.9% this time because I wanted to darken my hair a bit. They also last VERY long imho and I find the consistency of the toners is absolutely perfect.
Btw. you made the perfect statement about color. You can make anything work if you know how to do it, but there will always be colors that just effortlessly look amazing on you. And it just depends on what you prefer. Putting no effort in? Go for your perfect colors. No problem with creating a fashion look that takes a bit or a lot of effort? Go for any color you like.
Nowadays I personally prefer wearing a color that spot on suits my natural coloring and if I want to create a fashion look, I use wigs for that purpose. (And btw. I wore grey hair for quite a while and people loved it, but when I went out without make up... I constantly got asked if I feel okay. It makes me look so sick and tired, that can't be denied.) One of my favorite fashion looks to create was the iZombie look. I loved it a lot. That close to white messy a-line bob, the berry tones, the dark smokey eyes, pale skin, I loved it. But does it actually suit me? Not at all. If you learn to understand color theory and seasonal color analysis, you can create any fashion look you want. That's so much fun and that's actually why seasonal color analysis is in no way shape or form restrictive. It's just another tool in your toolbox and you can use it in whichever way you like. E.g. me being Light Spring, I use True Autumn colors for a grungy look and the darkest Soft Summer shades for an edgy look with hints of black to make the look more severe and stark on me. Playing around with color really is a whole lot of fun.

Best post I have seen all day, I'm going to assume your a professional, and love what you said about analyzing our coloring, I was born with medium ash brown hair and very pale skin with hints of peach and lots of redness, don't wear any makeup anymore and broke the over 40 rule with having very long hair that I dye a muted copper and sometimes I lighten some of my ends with a golden blonde, I don't feel comfortable in many colors unless they are muted, and love green probably not perfect but it's good enough for me haha 😅

A couple notes on finding your undertone: if you are self tanning, you are automatically going to pull warm. Figure out your undertone once the tanner has worn off, outside in natural sunlight.
Cool toned people tend to have a lilac color to their inner eye/eye bag area.
All colors have cool undertone and warm undertone versions. When comparing colors on yourself, compare (for example) a cool red to a warm red, not a ‘cool color’ to a ‘warm color’ because you can end up comparing two colors with cool (or warm) undertones accidentally.

It really depends on the natural shade of ginger. I am a ginger and so is my mother. But her natural hair is a much more orange/blonde and her skin is very fair and cool toned. I am more of an auburn ginger with more copper and gold tones and my skin is fair but I am more of a neutral tone with some warmth compared to hers. We cannot wear the same colors. Even hair colors. I feel like gingers are like a weird whole other category lol. Like the color wheel doesn't always work for us 😂.

Oh ! I love color theory. I'm personally cool-toned (I have porcelain skin), so oranges/copper tend to not look really good on me 😅 but I consider myself lucky since I always prefered pink and purple.
My usual go-to hair color is a dark purple/burgundy color. It's quite easy to maintain, no need to bleach, a bit fantasy and really match my pale pink skin. I have grey-blue eyes so the dark color also create a nice contrast with them.
I also tried red (always a purplish, low saturated red), pink and purple. My natural color is brown.
I look the best in cool-toned pastels. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy wearing other colors though !
I'd love to take the seasonal color test. Sounds fun. I think I'm summer but who knows.

I've ALWAYS wanted copper hair, but being a super fair neutral/olive undertone girl...it just makes me look super green. I can wear it in clothes and makeup, but oddly, not hair color. Violet toned reds are the only ones that suit me. Oh well haha. I've always found olive undertones to be a real wild card in terms of what looks good hair wise 😂. (Also, I love the journey your white t-shirts take haha. Keep it going!)

I have two (three when my dark brown roots grow) colors in my hair right now. A super light copper in my grown roots and exactly the same blonde that you have in the rest (like from my ears to passing a bit my shoulders) and Id love to get the same copper color you did here, but It's just so hard to do it with regular hair dye since I don't know how to make it possible. And hair salon is too expensive.. so I'm a bit lost. Any suggestions?

Hm I've seen a lot of box dyes in this shade, what do you mean by not possible? Personally I started using Inebrya, they have really nice shades of copper (and champagne copper which I use because I don't like too much intensity on me). I know Igora has some beautiful intense copper shades too.

People always want to tell you something about yourself as if you don’t live with yourself and take care of yourself.. not to mention, cameras are rarely 100% true to color unfortunately. I think YOU would know what colors do compliment your skin tone better than anyone watching a video of you would. Idk what’s up with folks, it’s like they don’t know what it’s like to experiment with your hair/hair colors and be so excited about a style or color you did because it’s new, fresh. But either the next day or a week goes by and you realize it wasn’t totally what you wanted, or needed. I am always that way. I dye my hair a new color, I’m ecstatic about it and LOVE it right after I’m done and have styled my hair.. next day or two? I’ll have done a complete 180 about it and not like it as much, if not at all. It’s sometimes just the excitement of doing something new and having fun with it. Which is what all of your content is - having fun with your hair even when you turn out not liking it after you’ve filmed the video. The amount of times I have taken a color out the next day cuz I didn’t like it after all? Tons. But that freshly new color looks amazing as hell right after you’ve dyed it! Anyways, I think copper looks amazing on you, I wasn’t expecting this shade but it blew me away. I LOVE copper after years of hating most red tones in general.. like in brunette hair color, I didn’t even like copper on me for years. I can’t fully decide if I can pull it off but I love it so I wear it anyways! Right now I am going back to my natural color (as I grow my hair back out after chopping it off) cuz I’m over the damage and constant change of mind about any color. Later on I may go copper again tho, or bright red or dark purple. But that’s like 2 years or more from now honestly. And I’m gonna fight any and all urges to change the color cuz I wanna see my natural hair color - it’s been 21 years since I last had my natural color! I’m excited cuz I do love the tone of my natural brown hair. So, lovely video, I love color theory and how you explain things ❤

You can tell if a color doesn't suit a skin tone simply because it pulls undesirable tones out of the skin, dulls the eyes, blurs your features. Unsuitable colours can make your jawline look less defined.
If i dye my hair black, my skin will pull yellow.
I dyed my hair blonde once and that pulled yellow too. Both burn colours made me look sallow. And blonde hair clashes with my eyebrows.
My eyes with both colours don't pop, i can even look ill with certain colours.
Just because someone can't tell exactly why it looks off, doesnt mean you don't look off.
If you need makeup to make a hair colour look normal, its not for you.

In most cases I’d agree but I think your coloring is a random jumble of genes. Could be perfect, could be off. Depends on the person I think.
Also more than 1 color can suit you and it’s fun to change.

    • @SelinaKyle56
      @SelinaKyle56 10 месяцев назад +6

I feel like this is not necessarily true because your skin and hair are based on genetics, and you can get more or less from each parent. You could get skin tone mainly from one parent and hair color from the other parent and they may not match.

I actually think silver suits Stella well, maybe better than gold. Based off all the comments on her page saying “she can pull off any color!!” Seems clear her skin is neutral instead of warm/cool

I am not sure in your case. You really looked great with cool toned colored hair. I think you are a neutral. Your skin looks a bit pinkish with copper hair.

I don´t think this colour compliments your skin tone. It should create a healthy contrast to your skin tone, not your dress. From what I saw in your previous videos, I think pinks and burgundies are your thing.

Love the COLOR and you always look good in these COLORS you do these ALL the time it's beautiful as always and your definitely a red or orange GIRL for SURE❤🧡
How about trying a warm Carmel color with toasted pieces or a warm Hot Chocolate color with an Orange Glaze or a Plum and Orange color for Halloween or a Black Flame color
    🖤💜🖤💜🖤
I still think a midnight blue is COOL and how about a Smokey Cranberry color that means adding grey to the Cranberry or a Creme Brulee or Root Beer float color 💋💋
I'm thinking of sweets for colors to bring in some FUN for Fall and Winter!!
