She wants to match her own hair color as closely as possible in one session. She did it, why are you so hung up on the word blonde? She's happy, her hair is healthy, what more could you want? It is what it is, great content!@@BGDVD
Because her title was clickbait. She herself said that the end-color was chocolate BROWN since she was unable to get the blue/green color out of her hair. Maybe she got it done in one session, idk, but she didn't achieve what she claimed in the title regarding the color. The end result is lovely, but clearly not blonde. I don't know why you're so hung up on insisting that it is. Just because you're a fan of someone doesn't mean you have to rabidly support everything they say or do. You know that, right?
You were so close! After the Malibu CPR, you should have used Malibu DDL. It's a direct dye lifter that has lifted blue, Purple and green direct dyes out of my hair completely with no developer, no lifting virgin hair, no heat needed.
Strongly agree! I use DDL or Blank Canvas with water. If I use even 5vol it will break the base for my natural as it is very similar to Stella's (Oh gosh, Stella all Malibu Packets should be mixed in a color bottle and then under heat for 45 with a cap)
wow! that was great to watch! After a regular hairdresser really messed up my hair I went to a colourist and it's just so much fun. First she took out the darkest week that the other one had left in my hair and give me a sunset kind of orangey pink colour. And then last week I went there with still the remaining orange and she could colour correct my hair all the way back to the lavender, silver colour and I'm absolutely in love (took 8 hours!!) ! Real colourists like you are just so amazing!
your colour theory dye videos are my absolute favourites i would love to see a video from you using hair swatches showing how to cancel out a variety of colours/tones in the hair using colour correction
Stella, I never bleach my hair and I still use Arctic Fox to dye my hair- it works on my dark blonde natural hair perfectly. I can’t use the light colours, naturally but the dark ones cover beautifully and the best part is that once it fades out, I’m back to my natural colour again. It would be an interesting experiment to see how many of Arctic Fox’s colours will cover your natural colour.
I love Stella and I love whatever she does to her hair but I do think this video is a bit misleading. Where is the "blonde"???? Thats not even close to blonde. It still looks good. But it's brown..... So not sure why she would even put that in the title. All she did was neutralize the color with a reddish tint, all the other steps really did nothing.
Blue is so brutal. I want to be blue so bad but I remember that same issue trying to remove it. You really took what it gave you and created a beautiful color!
The CPR definitely contributed, I think, to the health of your hair in the end result. I find that not only does any sort of bleach not have to eat through as much color, after removing some of those metals in your hair it also doesn’t heat up as much- leading to less damage. I always do a CPR or another vitamin c based color remover before bleaching now
Thanks to you I’ve tried to go from deep brown to blonde. As always we struggle to get the ciolir we want w/I ruining our hair. I appreciate your creative, & mishaps as real stuff: long live inspiration! I’m an old broad, trying to stay lovely in her waning years. You are an inspiration, keep on with your business growth, god bless for your many utube sessions! Love from Las Vegas nv❤
You are beautiful Stella, inside and out, no matter what hair style you display. I absolutely love this color and style, so classic and lovely on you. Keep being creative and keep being you! 🌻
Im excited for you for when you get to have your honey blonde. The current colour looks good on you, the style is a little vintage but suits your face!
So I have a similar hair length to you and I’ve been trying to grow it out but mine grows slowly and I’m in a wedding soon. Van you show us how you did that final hair style and what products you used? Cause it would be great for my bridesmaids hair
Excellent :) ! Color corrections and removals are a pain ! I just color removed my bright blonde to a super clean canvas because I had been using semis like pink, rose gold ,sunset colors, ginger and a blonde japanese box dye (in the space of 7 months or so) . My hair definitely needed a reset...I would have gone natural but I just want to go back to pastel pink all over. I had to commit to just being bright blonde cause I don't like brown hair on me. It has allowed me to grow my hair out and remain consistent without the extra damage of going between super dark and super light.
The end result is AMAZING!!! Honestly, i like it more than blonde (but it is just personal opinion). I generally prefer fun colors but this is really beautiful, i will definitly try this on myself one day, when my blue hair will fade (my hair will just break off if i did as much as you lol)
It probably would’ve been better and less patchy if she tried getting that purple color out that was above the green too. She could’ve hit it near the end of her processing time during that final color remover.
Hey! I was on your website and noticed that there's a typo on the first page. The first word in the first sentence in the writeup that introduces the brand is probably meant to be "Brought" instead of "Brough". I genuinely love your authenticity, your brand and you. I'm just looking out for you here.
I do a fair amount of fashion colors in the salon and I love the Malibu CPR but i really use the DDL. Its a direct dye lift. It's a must have for me. Maybe try that if you do fashion colors again?
I found loreal effasol worked and completely to remove the blue and green from my hair but it’s bleach based I think. And I used veefree to remove hot pink. It’s so hard to remove blues and greens!
I remember me going from a mintgreen to a natural level 9 and it being a pain in the butt to get there. No color remover, no bleach, no nothing was able to get rid of the green stain my hair had and I did it the same way you did (just a few shades lighter) and it worked amazingly well. Green is a tough one, blue too, sometimes. I never ever colored my hair green or blue after that anymore. Getting rid of yellow, orange, red, pink, purple - even permanent black box dye? Easy compared to blue and green semi permanent dye...
All I know is green is absolutely the one color that sticks in my hair. There was a time that I did so much on my hair. Vitamin C treatments, Color Oops, SOOOO much dandruff shampoo. Bleach baths. Eventually, and thankfully my hair was long enough, I just cut it out and cut my hair shoulder link at the time.
I feel your pain, I tried a very light silver in my 12N hair, and I ended up with purple hair! I went through almost all the steps that you did, and will still couldn't get it out. Just now, a year later, my hair is back to where it should be... Definitely was a challenge 😮😮
I'm also a natural level 7 blonde and I got blue stuck in my hair from dying it emerald and I dyed bright pink over it to make a purple which worked but it faded back to VIBRANT BLUE every single time for like 3 months of redyeing it which was around 3-4 times till I finally put permanent pink over it and that did the trick it's faded to a pastel pink lol
Next time with blue and green hues, try Malibu DDL XL with water!! It's been my favorite product by far! I always shampoo twice with undoo goo, then I go in with Malibu color distributor and then add CPR on top of that without rinsing. Leave under heat for 45 minutes! Then you squeeze and squeeze out as much color as possible. THEN you will wash with undoo goo 3-5 times. Then on dry hair, I will go in with the DDL XL and i just eyeball that but usually do 45 minutes as well. It is technically bleach based. so keep off your roots, but not as damaging as a bleach wash or even regular color removers. I know this is such a long process but I promise this is the best results I've ever had and I change my hair color all the time. Hopes this helps if you ever try this again.
Hi Stella, i have a question 😅. How do you know the difference between someone having naturally straight hair from a person who just had their hair rebonded? And in the same way how can you tell if someone has naturally curly hair or if they just had it permed? I ask because i always have issues differentiating them, like i would see someone and be like, i like your naturally straight hair, and then they would go and be like oh i just had it rebonded 😅.
I dealt with this quite a bit myself! Normally you can tell from the texture and quality of the hair, or their roots. However the rule is always to deal with the hair right in front of you ie if the hair is permanently straightened then that’s what you’re tackling
@@StellaCini thank you for responding to my comment Stella! Can I also ask you to do a video of how to curl short hair with a hair roller brush and a blow dryer? I can't afford any hair irons 😭 , but I have heard of stylists who style hair using only hair roller brushes and a blow dryer. Can you do a video showing how? Because I love your curls on short hair and I want to be able to do that for my own 😍, while not having to spend so much.
I used color correcting to get my hair back to brown. It was purple. I used and auburn brown. Turned it auburn / ginger. No sign of purple at all. Then dyed it a medium ash brown my natural color! 😊 also im 36 so some greys and whites are peaking threw now lol. But im fine with that
I need some help here, I'm trying to go from brown (dyed) mids and tips almost faded coral/pink with an inch (more or less) of regrowht to a scarlet red on the warm side, please someone help me
Everyone commenting it’s not blonde, were you watching the video on mute? She says it’s not blonde herself. The title isn’t clickbait because she was trying to get to blonde, but conceded to anything that’s not green. Have you ever color corrected hair before? Please go comment under one of Mr Beast’s videos about clickbait and leave other creators alone. Hasn’t whoever raised you taught you if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all? I’m all for constructive criticism, but calling the title clickbait isn’t constructive. Please go touch grass and find something better to do.
I couldn't get blue out of my hair once after I bleached it twice and it was just mint, like my hair was white but with mint parts it did not want to leave!!!
Turned out beautiful but I do feel like there’s been many videos that seem almost “click bait” lately….it said blue to blonde and that didn’t happen so maybe the title should have been blue to brown or “attempting” blue to blonde
TBH.... Starting with a bleach wash, and leaving it for 10min, and then using a coral pink direct dye diluted to approx the same color intensity would have corrected to blonde a lot easier and faster. Once you got to a minty green colour, pink neutralizes very easily.
So pretty. I don't think people understand how difficult color correction is. This color is fantastic on you.
No one will say it's not blonde, I promise 😅 The most important thing, no more blue, no more green and the final color is incredible 😍
It's definitely not blonde. It's very pretty, but it's not blonde in any universe.
I can live with it. have a nice day @@kitsygirl
It's 100% not blonde. I don't care what she does. I love her anyway, but it's not blonde.

Yup the DDL from Malibu is the only product I've used that takes out blue pigments with the quickness with almost no damage ❤
wow! that was great to watch!

Stella, why don't you use acid wash from estel or other brands?
If you want your hair its natural colour and healthy why dont you just leave it alone you are lucky its a level 7 with no greys and its very strong.
I love it with the shirt ❤️
Would look nice if you did a blonde money piece in the front 💛
I got similar results teal to copper in 2 steps. Bleach wash, then over all color in permanent copper.
Beautiful! ❤
It’s weird to make your title say blonde when you call it “chocolatey brown” at the end of the video.
