Thank you, Antonia! I know that some of my subscribers do not have access to technology so I want to show a few classroom activities that require no or very little preparation. :)
Bravo. Very useful activity. I 'm sure the students will really enjoy it. Thank you for sharing. I'll definitely use it for all topics in elementary school. Thank you.
I play this with card sets so students can do it in groups or 1:1. You just write kabooms on the back of question cards :) I added some extra "good kabooms" to make it more fun like sword shield trade magic wand etc... keeps them from avoiding any cards they can tell have writing on it.
I add good kabooms depending on familiarity with game and age group. Each blank card and unactivated "good kaboom" is one point. Sword - take any card from your opponent. Older kids can be strategic with this and hold on to it (see shield) but younger ones just tell them to take a card right away. Throw away sword after use. Shield - next time you draw kaboom throw this away instead Magic wand - take all non kaboom cards from the discard pile. Discard. Trade - trade your cards including this one Go again - go again! This is my go to game. Everyone loves it and you can use it with basically anything and you don't have to explain it each time.
I am happy to hear it! I read books, exchange ideas with other teachers and apply them in my classes to see what works and what doesn't. I share the activities that work with you all. :))
@@ilariaparis7840 I make flashcards myself. I find a suitable image, print it out, laminate it, and then glue a magnetic strip to the back of the flashcards. Our boards are magnetized, so these flashcards stick. ;)
