Have a 103 twin cam will crank but won't start did new lifters piston exhaust valve ( bent) rings plugs wires entire fuel system.( sugar) from x's boyfriend any suggestions
I'm having this very same issue on an 11 CVO SG with the 110. When it started, I did the same things you've done and ended up with a new set of plugs. 400 miles later I'm back in the same boat. Maybe a little worse. Scratching my head right now.
I mean the bike is rubber mounted for a reason bro, enjoy the vibes😉. Cuz shit, if you wanted smooth and balanced, that's Softail territory. As for the starts, some strong spark and charged battery does wonders for these big motors and sensitive computers. Trying to turn over you seen how much the headlight died - well ECUs really dont like voltage drops like that and they'll just reset, which leaves you cranking and not firing up.
I'm having the same problem my bike will start then I shut off it just cranks and I do see black smoke. I changed coil. Injectors and I'm about to change fuel pump regulator new lines .if that's not it I'm stumped
I had an issue with hard start, sometimes it was right away, sometime run down the battery with no start, checked for spark, erratic at best. After a head scratcher and a few hours it turned out to be the ignition switch. It was losing contact on the inside of it. I took it apart and realized it was a Chinese made switch with bad contacts. Put on a new switch and it hasn't had a start issue since. Just a thought.

Replace the Champions and fix the problem, soo not a fan of Champion plugs, now can take that test ride and blow the carbon out.

Hey Brandon, do you know of any quick disconnects for dyna fuel tanks? Anytime I need to pull off my tank I spill gas all over. Any recommendation?
Yupp! I’ve got a video buried in the “Aly’s Dyna” playlist. It’s a GOODRIDGE fuel fitting, they cost about $50/60
also i wouldn't worry about that black smoke you got - that was all the built up fuel you pumped into the cylinders with those handful of no-starts.

champion plugs are garbage, the ign module is a good start make sure the fire is rt.
