If you guys have really bad cramps that cause a lot of stomach problems causing gas or gives you the poops you should really consider getting it too!
What about clotting and severe cramps?
@@wenmoves If you are experiencing clotting and cramps try out some over the counter Motrin, it works for me but keep in mind it is individualized for everyone. The best thing to do is to talk to a doctor.
The pill doesn’t fix digestive issues sis. It can actually mask them and cause them to worsen 😍
@@ritael-khabbaz5621 And the same thing is true for menstrual problems.

Estrogen sensitivity is something that needs to be talked about. I can only have Progesterone only (started on the pill, then got Mirena IUD) because estrogen made me literally bleed for 2 months straight and increased my PMDD symptoms. But once I switched to progesterone only that completely went away. More people need to talk about that kind of stuff
That is really good to know and I completely agree.I have similar symptoms so I am taking a low dosage of estrogen.
Agreed, however as she stated it is a case by case issue and it is best for these kinds of things to be applied individually. Hormonal imbalance/sensitivity will always be a possibility, but as it is not something a majority of people are experiencing, those symptoms will only relate to a select few.
@@jennie8622 i totally agree, I was just saying its something that should still be mentioned and talked about, as it is still a thing to consider
Birth control is literally a small steroid cycle for women. It's so stupid how q 15 year old can get access to a 19 nor testosterone or nandrolone analogues while men can't even get a physiological dose of testosterone that they NEED! 19 nors are HIGHLY suppressive and will crush your test levels. If you don't know, testosterone 5 alpha reduces to DHT and converts to estrogen. Without the pathway being fulfilled of testosterone to estrogen conversion, you crush endogenous sex hormones that are necessary for mediating many physiological functions to ZERO. So please, do more research on birth control because many women and children are being put on this by stupid doctors for decades and are essentially castrating themselves and that will mess up your lives and sex lives. Also levonogesterol or these 19 nor testosterone derivatives are as androgenic as testosterone as you can see in many studies.
Yess
This was the most helpful and insightful video I found on RUclips about the pill. Thanks!

It’s literally propaganda, “Estrogen is already in your body so that makes it fine”… They are castrating an entire generation of women. The pill has permanent effects on your hormones and reproductive cycle.
From self-experience, BP really helps severe menstrual cramps and acne ...
That's why I just got back on the pill today. I can't keep dealing with these severe cramps being stuck in bed all day
But does it effect your fertility ?
@@rongpencil2888 no
Which pill?
Acne comes from unbalanced hormone levels which are crushed when you take these pills. So when you get off of them, you can expect breakouts. Just wait it out please.

Isn’t that why one takes the pill...to party it up in the nightclub? ;o

I was on one type of mini pill which was giving me bad side effects. It particularly made my mental health worse to the point where I would cry everyday. Now Im a few weeks into taking a different mini pill which has made a huge difference and I feel better in myself. I feel like people are confused by the period versus not a period she discussed. When you are on combo pills, your body will (more than likely) not ovulate. Ovulation is caused by a rise in estrogen and once you ovulate, your body releases progesterone which cause the uterine lining to shed. If you ovulate and bleed, you have a period because you are shedding due to ovulation. If you do NOT ovulate, you have withdrawal bleeding in which your uterine lining gets thicker while on BC, and once you take your final week on the pill, your body naturally empties out the excess uterine lining - this is withdrawal bleeding and is not classified as a period.
I think this is also important to understand for women confused on why they don’t get pregnant when they withdrawal bleed
Thank you
I thought the uterus lining actually gets thinner on BC.
BC actually makes your uterine lining thinner and a withdrawal bleed is just a drop in the synthetic hormones and mimics a normal cycle.
@@roxxylala26 I think she means that, although the endometrium on hormonal birth control is generally thinner than it becomes by the point of menstruation during a normal, ovulatory menstrual cycle there is still some accumulation of endometrial tissue on birth control. (The effect is not so extreme that there is no endometrium at all.) And so women will bleed when they withdraw from the medication.
i really needed this, had so many concerns since im getting on my first pill soon, thank you!
I have terrible cramping with my period... and I genuinely had no idea birth control pills could help with that. I figured more hormones would make cramps worse so the whole "like helps like" thing is really exciting information for me.
I had terrible cramps where I felt like crying and I would stay in bed all day. I got on birth control pills and it has helped soooo much. I don’t even feel the need to take Tylenol when it comes around now
I had terrible cramps as well but I found that eating dark chocolate everyday really helps (because of the magnesium).
@@CC-ok7ko Did you watch the video? That's cause you don't have a period, you get "withdrawal bleeding".
I had terrible cramps been on serveral different pills and types of bc and my cramps werent helped. / arent helped. I take them at this point to control bleeding. My ob thinks endo. Getting the nerves up for surgery to see one day soon 😅
this was so informational
Suppressing ovulation is not the innocent thing this woman wants you to believe. For more info read the fifth vital sign

This was such an educational video. I was freaked out about my chances of getting pregnant while on the pill and also had worries that my mental health was suffering from the pill. Both of my worries were eased by this video and i found out about withdraw bleeding even though I’ve been taking the pill for almost 4 years now. Thank you so so so much!
I can tell you right now my body did not just bounce right back when I stopped the pill. It took me 3 months to get my period again.
That is a very normal time frame
No... progestin is different than progesterone
It's a synthetic form of progesterone because progesterone is absorbed too quickly. A lot of progestin is made from testosterone, so how is a synthetic form of a hormone a natural hormone
@StubbornMomDotCom Amen to that, sister. And while "estrogen" is a generic term for a bunch of chemicals--endogenous to the human body, found in plants and animals, and man-made--the types of estrogen your body makes are different from the ethynilestradiol in the pill as well.
The steroids in birth control fit into the receptors in your body for estradiol and progesterone, so they stop your body from making those, and they can also induce uterine bleeds. But they have almost none of the benefits of your actual hormones.
As for weight gain, I gained over 30lbs within 5 months of being on the pill and my eating habits nor diet has not changed.
Exactly, you are not alone. My weight remained the same on my first pack of pills, but on the second, I experienced the same PMS symptoms and weight gain that I would right before my period. I gained 5 pounds with zero changes to my eating, and I’m so bloated I look pregnant. I don’t appreciate this woman making a blanket statement about our experiences.
@@smokerscough2907 My weight gain probably also started on the 2nd pk and ppl also say I look pregnant because my face basically looks swollen lol. At first I didn't mind gaining weight because I was really skinny but now I'm worried I'll be too fat if I stay on the pill.
I had something similiar happen however I switched to a very low dose birth control and it's help tremendously.

Which one do you take ?
This is really helpful. I feel like people make the pill to be this bad guy but honestly PCOS makes my life hell so I'd rather be on it and have minor side effects than off it.
i agree, i'm the same, I tried to quit 5 months ago because I thought I had cured myself of PCOS through low GI diet, big mistake, my hair fell out and acne...so back on again and i feel much better
The pill doesn't treat PCOS. It may give you a fake bleed that makes you feel like you have a regular "cycle" (you actually have no cycle on the pill.) But it will do nothing to correct any of the underlying problem(s), and in fact that/those problem(s) will most likely be compounded whenever you stop taking birth control.
Birth control only masks the symptoms. There are actual methods to help PCOS, but birth control will not do it effectively. It can make symptoms worse after quitting. I highly suggest looking into Dr. Sarah D Hill's TEDx Talk about birth control because it can really help with understanding how hormonal birth control affects the brain.

@@IMissMrKitty so i shouldn’t start birth control ? 😰
@@wafflecoast I was on birth control since I was 17 (for 10 years) and I now have a lot of reproductive problems (extreme pain & infertility) and mood struggles (anxiety & depression). Not saying that it specifically caused those problems, but I believe it contributed. I recently discovered that birth control pills will deplete vitamins- B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, & B12. And also vitamins & minerals- C, E, magnesium, selenium, & zinc. They can cause abnormal growth of the cervix (I have a lot of pain in my cervix), a narrowing of the lining of the uterus, depression, an increased risk of cervical & breast cancer, and decreased ability of the immune system to fight off disease. You won't hear about any of these risks if you talk to your gynecologist about this because they aren't aware. The people who create these drugs are interested in one thing- money. The pharmaceutical reps aren't about to tell doctors all of the bad side effects, just like a car salesman won't tell you everything that's horrible with a car in order to be able to sell a lemon (defective car).
@@IMissMrKitty I couldn't agree more sis I am right there with you.
Your father is an idiot.
My periods have gotten more painful years after starting birth control. I’m afraid I’ve developed PCOS, my mother had many cysts. I’m on what I think the highest dose of estrogen is, 35, I had my period for 30 days straight and I was off for a week. The opposite of a cycle. Perhaps I need another birth control option.
You definitely need another type of birth control. Whoever prescribed you your pills should know that your mother has cysts, your risk to develop them is higher.
You need to ditch the pill, detox, explore non hormonal options!
I also am afraid of this too
Maybe try bc pills with no estrogen/ progesterone only

I think women mean to say , they don't want artificial hormones in their body. Everybody is different and there has been no studies showing how these synthetic hormones actually do effect women in a negative way. I had friends gain weight, get facial hair , bloated etc and they have no thyroid issues. They may produce it already but the estrogen and progesterone given is not their own. Maybe if they can clone the bodies own estrogen and progesterone maybe so many wouldn't have side effects and issues with it. Until then doctors disregard that fake hormones do mess up a women's body it is not natural. Since the doctors get compensation to fill prescriptions and are told lies they seem to believe it verse listening to their patients.
Lana Delmar there actually are studies that show that bcp affect women some women negatively. Check out Susan Hill, LouAnn Brizendine, Lisa Mosconi
So true! Dont mess up your body! good read- www.bbc.com/future/article/20180822-the-birth-control-pill-can-have-male-side-effects
@aprilaries164 Yeah, and it's interesting how at the end of those studies the conclusion is never "Therefore, maybe some women should be encouraged to use non-hormonal forms of birth control." It's usually something more like "Well, this was a small effect or pregnancy has been shown to increase the risk of this, too, or in general women should still be recommended this or some other form of hormonal birth control."
P.S. @lanadelmar4635 there are biologically-familiar forms of progesterone and estrogen available, but they are not used for contraception because they don't work for that. Also, I don't _think_ doctors actually believe the stuff about birth control steroids being the same as endogenous hormones. They just have too many vested interests in ensuring patients take the birth control, so they say what they think will make patients feel better about it.
No one forces women to take the pill. It is a very viable option for many women. I took it 10 years and literally everything improved for me. On HRT now, and same thing. Literally everything is better
@@angelasmith6946I never said anyone forced women to take the pill, although that's a nice straw man you have there. People do, however, give patients misinformation about it, like this video pretending ethinylestradiol = estradiol and progestins = progesterone, which is clearly not true.
No, HRT is generally not the same thing as birth control. Check the labels on the packages.
God, how I love being a woman 😭
This was so helpful, like so helpful, and knowing she is a doctor, it just makes the information so much more reliable. Please do a similar video fro birth control vaginal ring! Thank you :)
The ring has the same stuff in it as in the pill. All the information would be the same.
@@harringt100 some women don't want to be perpetually pregnant
@@angelasmith6946And your point is...? Well, maybe I can guess, although it's not a good one...
In six years of marriage I've used only non-hormonal forms of birth control and had _one_ pregnancy, which I achieved intentionally and quickly. There are whole countries where taking hormonal birth control is very unpopular and yet they have very low fertility rates. (And abortion rates are not substantially higher than e.g. the American one, either.) Your comment is based on a dichotomy that only exists in your encapsulated imagination.
Also no one is perpetually pregnant, even women who make no attempt to prevent pregnancy. 🙄
@@harringt100 Having such vitriol over and hatred towards a common form of birth control, and having such the negative attitude that you do, invalidates a very legitimate choice for other women, who may do just fine on it.
Also, hormonal "birth control" used as a medical treatment for many things...endometriosis, PCOS, PMDD, dysmenorrhra, amenorrhea. Some women have severe migraines and/or severe nausea with their period every month. Some women have conditions that would make pregnancy life-threatening and MUST have the highest effectiveness rate of hormones. Many mental issues are so greatly exacerbated by pregnancy that the highest effectiveness rate of hormones is a MUST. Many life-essential meds cause birth defects such that the highest effectiveness of hormones is a MUST. Just to name a few.
You do no favors for other women by dismissing a very valid option, by casting your own negative personal views on it, rather than encouraging women to find what is best for them as an individual
I'm not sure where you think you see "hatred" or "vitriol." Perhaps you're simply projecting your own feelings or experiences with other people onto me. (Which might also explain why you reprimand is so hastily written and grammatically awkward.) Everything I've written here I wrote in a dispassionate mood, and it is factually accurate. (I can provide you with sources for most of the things I've said if you want to take issue with them.) If I sound a little annoyed in my last comment, it's only because I find your insinuation that anyone who chooses not to use hormonal birth control "want[s] to be perpetually pregnant" presumptuous and condescending, as well as obviously untrue.
You didn't need to re-post your comment from further down; I already saw it. Does hormonal birth control sometimes help alleviate the symptoms of some painful medical conditions such as endometriosis and dysmenorrhea? Yes. Am I glad it's an option for women who suffer from those? Yes. Does it actually fix the underlying problem? No. Are there other treatments that are more meaningfully therapeutic and are less likely to be offered by some doctors, in part because they're told birth control should be the default treatment? Yes. Hormonal birth control prescribed for amenorrhea and PCOS does nothing for those conditions. You can't improve hormonal problems related to anovulation by further _suppressing_ ovulation; that doesn't even make sense. And for the other conditions you mention the usefulness of hormonal birth control lies somewhere between those ends of the spectrum.
There are non-hormonal birth control methods that are about as effective for contraception as the pill, or more so. Which you should be able to infer from my last comment, even though you are _apparently_ unfamiliar with them. Example: a modern, double-check symptothermal method of fertility awareness has been shown to be 99.6% effective with correct use. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17314078/ Vasectomy and the various forms of female sterilization are more effective than the pill, with failure rates as low as 1 in 1000 cited in some sources for vasectomy. The copper IUD is non-hormonal, though it has some side effects, and is cited as 99.4% effective. There are also plenty of people who combine more than one non-hormonal method (e.g condom + diaphragm) to reach a level of effectiveness similar to (or higher than) hormonal methods. I am fine with people using whatever contraception they like, provided they're making informed choices. But it issimply fals to say that any medical condition or medication that raises the risk level of pregnancy _necessarily. requires_ the use of hormonal birth control, and insisting it does so adamantly makes you look incredibly misinformed and narrow-minded.
Hormonal contraceptives don't need my advocacy. (Or yours, for that matter.) The companies that make them have multibillion-dollar marketing budgets and there are plenty of medical personnel urging patients to use them. I very much doubt anything I've written here will dissuade anyone who _wants_ to use them. And anyone who needs a stranger on the Internet to tell them their birth control is a "legitimate choice" should do something to address their _severe_ personal insecurities before they even get into a situation where they need birth control.
best video out there that i had yet found thank you :)
I'm sorry but no. I had been on the pill since 16 and weighed 120-126max at 25 they switched me and told me it was the same just a different name and over the next year I gained all the way up to 153. I would wake up with food cravings. Finally someone asked if I was on birth control and i said ya and made the realization that it all started at that time so I quit taking it and switched back to my old one and immediately the cravings stopped and I lost all of the weight in two months. The weight just dropped off. I was losing so much so fast with 0 effort. Another 6 years later and i haven't gained it back. Did gain some when I had my daughter but lost it pretty normally. I also saw something awhile back that said birth control doesn't cause weight gain HOWEVER it does cause cravings that result in weight gain and to me that still mean it is the cause and it is certainly what happened to me. I basically had the munchies all the time. It was awful.
@saylerjane If you don’t mind me asking, what is the pill you’re taking that you switched back to? Always curious which one works for people. I’ve had a similar experience.
@@skoobasteph absolutely happy to share. The first one was the (Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo) and then they switched me to the regular (Ortho Tricyclene) which was the one that made me gain weight . When they gave it to me they said it was the same but just the name is different but in actuality they may have the same ingredients however the Lo one has lower amounts of estrogen. When you try a birth control just pay attention to if you start wanting to eat more. It was super obvious to me that I was having mad cravings to eat way more but I didn't suspect it was birth control because I thought it was the same as the one I had been taking for years. If you have any issues try one with lower estrogen. I also do not recommend the shot or the implant that goes in the arm. Everyone I know who has gotten those gained alot of weight. I also tried the IUD but it hurt really bad. Everytime I leaned forward i would get sharp pain and I was bleeding alot with it as well as cramps. My friend had hers drift into her uterus and had to get surgery to remove it and my other friend had some super weird issues with it. Apparently it can cause excess fluid in the spinal cord and resulted in her getting meningitis after a cold because of the excess fluid. One of my family members has the implant in her arm and has gained alot of weight, like 40+ pounds. The nice thing about the pill is that if you do have any issues it is easy to switch. The implants and IUD are harder to switch. I am actually on a constant pill now and when I chose it they said it had the same amount of estrogen as the lo but instead of it being each week less hormones it is constant so you have less break thru bleeding (if that is an issue for you) and I skip the sugar pills and I have not had any weight issues. That one is called Tarina Fe 1/20. I've been on it for a few years now and it has been good. I hope the info helps. I know everyone is different but there are some that are known to cause issues like the depo shot and implant. It is definitely nice to hear from others what works and doesn't work. It was someone else not a doctor who pointed out to me about birth control possibly being a factor in my weight gain. I'm glad I finally figured it out. When I switched I was gaining weight so rapidly that I was on the verge of stretch marks. I could feel them starting and my skin was itchy but the food cravings were so bad I couldn't stop. When I quit regular Ortho Tricyclen the cravings were instantly gone and Instantly dropped weight like crazy as soon as I switched. The first few weeks I was losing over two pounds a week with no effort. Torwards the end the weight-loss slowed but still steadily lost it till I got back to my regular weight.
Cravings make also sense cause the pill sets your body into a state of ‚artificial pregnancy‘.
@Unknown-hy1ud No, it doesn't. Being on hormonal birth control is not at all like being pregnant, physiologically. Having said that, all kinds of hormonal changes can influence appetite, so I don't disagree that cravings can be associated with birth control use.
I gained 20 pounds in a year in a half and the only constant is the pill.
if you would eat healthy and worked out you wouldn't have gained weight. the pill doesn't contain fat or nutrition so it shouldn't have a link at all. Maybe your mood changed causing you to begin eating at a higher rate compared to when you were not on it.
No hate, but the only way to gain fat is to eat more calories than you burn. No one's body can defy the laws if physics.
The hormones in the pill may have made you hungrier, the pill itself, nor any medication makes a person gain 20lbs. The behaviour change was probably so gradual you didn't even notice.
I have so many friends who gained weight. One of them lost alot when she went off it. I kind of gently suggested she may have lost weight and she said she hadn't lost any weight. But she did admit being able to fit in her old dresses. We concluded the pill may cause some kind of inflammation sort of like water weight gain. Sort of like when pregnant.
I lost 20 pounds in 1 month and a half I’m 26 never been on BC but considering it now to help me gain weight.
Can I ask something, can we use this pills for every month for not having a periods. I really hate periods. How to stop it can anyone help me out?
Birth control pills can stop periods. Some make periods lighter and some stop them altogether, it depends what pill you take. You should speak to your doctor about with pill is right for you 💗
Extra hormones can cause problems. This video is short and doesn’t really give the picture.
Not the same as the hormones your body create…puppies know how long you were away. Stopping the pill can cause havoc. Not sure all this woman say is true. The side-effects should really be discussed.
Mine doesn’t make those hormones because I have polycystic ovary syndrome
ruclips.net/video/Q3pNKOXgs1w/видео.html I just watched this video, I’m not sure how true it it but it made me think twice
1.) no natural hormones, its synthetic hormons that create failures
2.) Gestagen is an adaptogen creating testosteron like issues in a females body
3.) it changes own phermones
4.) it causes cancer
5.) no natural cycle, constant pregnant like behavior, eating, no libido, no optimism
6.) high thrombose risc
7.) no flirting time, no ovular phase, pure manipulation
8.) synthetic hormones influence gut, genital, brain hormonal receptors negatively
9.) Titandioxid and other fillers not natural for the body
Just use a condom.
The hormones are in us but the birth control makes excessive amounts. We need to ovulate and menstruate in order for our bodies to detox and regulate :(
No, it is not that birth control "makes excessive amounts" of estradiol and progesterone. Rather, it _prevents_ your body from making them. A blood test will show that a woman on birth control drugs has similar (low) levels of those hormones to a postmenopausal woman. Pill steroids like ethynilestradiol, drosperinone, levenorgestrel, and medroxyprogesterone are NOT the same things. She is lying through her teeth about that.
No, your body does not need menstruation to "detox;" your liver, kidneys, and colon do that. If you are not growing an endometrium the way you do in a healthy ovulatory cycle, a bleed is superfluous. (Or rather, it will probably need to happen eventually--since even on hormonal birth control the endometrium grows a little bit--but less frequently than once a month.) However, regular _ovulation_ (which of course, these pills prevent) is very important for bone, breast, and cardiovascular health, healthy sleep cycles, and emotional balance. Because ovulation is the only way to make estradiol and progesterone, and they play important roles in all those things.
"estrogen and progesterone is already in womens bodies so it's okay to take extra." 1. birth control is a synthetic hormone 2. What other hormones do we prescribe people because "it's already in your body"? it's dangerous for men to take extra testosterone even they already have healthy levels. It's also dangerous to take extra thyroid hormones if you don't need to
1: The number of that stuff you'd be having is rarely more than what one's body would have
2: I don't see how that's relevant both have their risks if one takes them too much same as everything else.
It's such a small amount, your body produces 6 times more just when you're pregnant.
So eye opening, thank you !!
thank you, i learned a lot about how birth control works. my boyfriend is trans and he called me out for not knowing about this important aspect of the lives of people with ovaries, which as a cis boy growing up was actively made taboo for me. i look forward to learning more
What’s the benefit and your reasoning for starting day two? Just curious
I assume it's because the first day is normally spotting or an insignificant amount of bleeding that starts at a random point in your day, so the second day would be your first "full" day of bleeding. But that's just my guess
This is good and very informative. 😊
As a woman, I’ve always refused to take birth control. Condoms and watching cycle yes, it no meds.
Not nearly as effective by a long shot
That only works if you are healthy. Must be nice not to have endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, anaemia, pmdd etc
@thelight1385 Yes, it is nice. But it is also true that some of those problems are your body trying to get your attention. And some of them can be alleviated through working with doctors who care and by lifestyle changes.
Wow! Why can’t our doctors tell us these things
I’m so scared, I’m 18 and this is my first time using a birth control pill. I will try Junel Fe 1/20. For the past couple years I have maintained a workout regimen lifting weights and running. I also count calories. I honestly fear gaining fat around my stomach with my life.

I'm just here stressing over my options Ty for the info doe
Exactly.
Great video, thanks for helping!
Since I’m starting the pill 💊 the last seven day (sugar pills) do I need to use protection? If I don’t get my period
I've read that during the placebos still protect you
I would use protection, yes.
As long as you take active pills at least 21 days uninterrupted, and restart your pill on day 8 after the placebo pills, you remain protected from pregnancy.
I’ve been on birth control 10 years. I never take the placebo aka “sugar pills” they contain NO active hormones therefore you do not need to take them the only reason they are there is so you can remain on track and remember to start your new pack. Trust me, I’m married and we have NEVER had a pregnancy scare. There is no reason to take placebos unless it helps you remember to start your new pack at the end of the current pack. Hope this helps.
Love your advice you are so Beautuil you are an awesome doctor 😁💝💝💝💝
Hi, hoping you can help me..is it really bad to take melatonin when you are in birth control pills?
Thank you very much for the wonderful channel❤❤❤❤🔵🔴✔❤
I started in May. I’m super hormonal, I’ve cried alot! But my energy & skin are outstanding!
Which pill are u taking ?
which one?
Very informative.. thank you soo much i wacth this...
Idk what I should think about taking it. There are so many people saying it’s good and others say it’s bad. I don’t know what to do.
Tried Dr iyaremoses on RUclips herbal medication and it worked for men am free from hirsutism no side effects..
@@dukeman8481 Are you a patient too??
So what about steroids, are they okay cause they’re just testosterone and that’s produced naturally in the body?? Can they not shut down natural production of hormones??
I just started on the combo birth control pills for heavy bleeding & terrible ovulation cramps. Hope it works.
How did it go?
@@tiyahgurley7975 It actually worked. I only used the pills for one week tho. But my ovulation pain seems to have subsided. If it acts up again, I'll start up the pills again.
That reasoning is the same for High Levels of Anabolic Steroids, DMT drugs, etc. and everyone knows the adverse effects from them
Thank you so much! This helps me alot!
Man here. There was a whatever clip I saw about a OF girl hating birth control, but lost it. I searched for it added it to my queue. I saw this, and because I have to know everything about everything andded it to my queue.
Listening to her, if I were a woman I would take a second look in the safety of birth control. For some reason she just doesn't inspire confidence.
Testosterone is already in my body. Might as well take some more.
Yeah smart huh
Silly unnecessary music.
Otherwise, informative and to the point
I took a combination pill for only 4 months and I went from a 32D to
a 36DD. I’m only 5’2 and these extra larges twins make me look like a whale. I’m going to be looking into a breast reduction very soon.
Or you could just stop taking the pill
I just started taking the pill and I’ve bleeding for 11 days now, is it normal? and the doctor didn’t prescribed this tho
you should check with your doctor..
Why would they put vitamins in a birth control. Do they even tell the patient this? What if they are already taking vitamins and they are over taking more because if this. Do they even tell them what is really in the placebo pill and vitamin?
they usually do, even pharmacists will explain and answer all your questions ..
What about the Nuvaring? I was on that for years and my bp went up and had emotional issues. I’m still fighting bp after 6 years of not doing it.
netcoms197 rlly nigga
netcoms197 lmao you should be a comedian
netcoms197 that’s like, the whole point
@@netcoms197 if you don't have children, it's actually beneficial to take combined birth control for a couple years. The more you ovulate in your life, the higher your chance of ovarian cancer, because our ovaries are meant to get breaks with pregnancies. Ovaries are not meant to ovulate non stop for decades. Therefore getting those ovulation breaks with birth control is good for those of us who don't have kids.
Ovarian cancer is usually detected at an advanced stage since there is no routine test for it.
@@elizabethd112 woah thats really interesting, i had no idea about that
I took depo shots 6 years, didn't help balance my two hormones, i got off depo shot, I finally taking birth control pills, it slowly getting use to it
Is the pill better ??
The Femiane birth control pills do not have different colors, why? Are these safe to take? What are the side effects? I have been off the pills 8 months now and I’m trying to conceive and it’s just not happening.... I am very concern. Please help.
Can you skip one period month only even if you are taking triphasic birth control? I only plan on doing it one month would it work, or do i have to be on monophasic birth control to be able to skip a month? Would it be okay for just one month with the triphasic pill?
3:23 she just said it is not called period but you wrote period
Thank you for such a thorough & informative video. The pill has been great for me & has made my period lighter & a lot less painful💕
The hair loss and the headaches are brutalll i cant getting off..
This made me feel more at ease as I had been on a pill for 5 years and I wanted to get off it as I started feeling side effects like headaches for like a week , on and off , thought about a non hormonal iud
Ty for sharing 👏👏
HOLY FUCK SHE REALLY ISNT EVEN CONSIDERING HOW BAD THEY ARE FOR YOU
Does sugar pills affect when you're pregnant
what do you mean exactly?? do they affect your pregnancy (like if you took them while pregnant) or can you get pregnant while taking them or??
Thank you
Im trying a low estrogen bill for 3 months. Im pre menopausal and have fibroids. Im hoping it will help
What are you taking?
Thanks for this video I had learned a lot
Why do the placebo pills make me sicker than the pills of hormones?
I can't do pills with hormones in them, they make me crazy and crazy nauseous. I dropped down to 73# as a full grown adult after just over 2 weeks on probably my 4th pill type I tried, then bleed for another 2.5 weeks because I had to stop taking it. I also got daily migraines when I started taking that pill that stopped being daily maybe 2 years after I stopped taking them.
What caused the migraines and why did they continue for so long? And not just "headaches" but actual sensitivity to light, sound, and super nausea.
I also wanna know who is gaining weight when they are this nauseous?? Like, I avoid eating when I feel that sick.
And how do I get a tubal ligation without doctors discriminating against me for not already having kids? I never want kids. Never have, never will, they would be a regret in my life that I would resent.
I take the pill at 14 not so I don’t get pre but so I have a regular period. Before I had months without one while not being pregnant.
I have a congenital heart defect so I can not take any form of hormonal birth control.
Why are people so fucking creepy and disrespectful towards her?
I'm not sure what you are calling "creepy." Maybe they are disrespectful because she is disrespecting _patients_ by lying to them? Ethynilestradiol is not the same as estradiol and progestins are definitely not the same as progesterone.
So what about women who have severe migraines with aura under 35? Is it safe or are we still at risk for a stroke? I get migraines & started the pill 3 months ago so that's concerning 😳
I'm not sexually active recently, can I use it just for the radiant skin
Have you started ?
So informative.
Is it bad that i accidentally took minethe day before my period, when i thought i would start that day?
Can anyone comment on personal experience regarding being a long time combination pill user switching to Mirena IUD? I could care less about the procedure itself, I'm more concerned if I should expect side effects with the change in hormones. Thank you!
i loved the puppy analogy. sure you can go out for 10 minutes or 10 hours, but go out for a month and your puppy dies. thats what happens to your hormones when you go on the pill for 10 years.
Exactly, you don’t shut off your hormones for 10 years and think everything is gonna go back to normal in two days.
There are women who start ovulating quickly after stopping birth control, even if they've been taking it for several years, but it doesn't work the same way for everyone. If you went on the pill to mask the symptoms of menstrual cycle problems those will still be there (or possibly even worse) when you get off and they could also make getting pregnant difficult until you deal with the underlying condition.
Beyond that, getting pregnant right away after stopping birth control isn't necessarily that great for you or the baby because you haven't had time to correct the nutrient depletions caused by the pill and check up on your reproductive health.
which bc will help avoid blood clots
I have been taking it for 7 years. Is it okay ?
Can you get pregnant, even when you are taking the pills
Obviously, yes, because there is a failure rate for everything.
I gained almost 50 pounds on birth control pills.
Thats from eating food
