Man, this is so cool. I have a 48 Pickup that's in storage. It's my next project once I finish up my current perpetually evolving snowball of a project. Your video got me eager for it. Subscribed!!!!
Me no like winter too! Im sticking an s10 under a 50 studebaker. Going to make an attempt at keeping the firewall and floor from the s-10. Screwdriver for mock-up, if it works, stick with it!
It would be great to see the actual welding being done close-up. Type of Weld Pattern., Welder Settings and Type of Weld etc info would also be well received. The Channel looks good!
Are you keeping a S-10 engine or going in with something else? Do you keep the brake lines and wires or replace everything new? I'm thinking, new engine, fuse box, ignition, carb, windows, transmission, gear shifter, seat, wires, brakes, bed, fuel tank, fuel lines, lights, blinkers, radiator, brake booster, brake lines, peddles, etc..
Hey bro thanks for the video bud I just had a question about the S10 is there a specific year make and model that fits. I got a 48 pick up and I’m looking to trade my Road King hopefully for a S10 to get the ball rolling thanks for your time.
Thanks for watching … you have to find an S-10 or a Chevy Colorado or even dodge Dakota with the right wheelbase for your application you have to do a little bit of homework on your end .
@j-ridecustoms4082 I actually was in bed when I saw your build in my suggestions. I went to the play lists to start at the beginning, but I didn't see the beginning, so I went to sleep
I have a 1954 3100 pickup. Which is 116" wheel base. Which S10 frame works best. From what I can find a standard cab long bed S10 is 117.9" wheel base.???
You gave the measurements on one of your videos the front 3 inches from the slot and 4 3/4" tall then the back cab 6" tall and the front bed 7" tall. What are the distances between the mounts?
Thanks for watching you’re going to have to figure that out for yourself because I used a big cab so that’s where it worked for mine but you’re gonna have to play with them till you find it perfect for yourself .
What year frame is that. I’m building one as well mine is a 49 gmc and the chassis I’m using is a 97 Chevy extreme and those frames are a lot beefier. I just got to shorten it 6”s
@@j-ridecustoms I see. Like I said that mine is a 97 and there frame is boxed right up to the leaf spring mount. At least the extreme is that way being they are already a high performance truck.

Thanks for watching. I’m sure if you watched one of the other videos it shows me welding and what it looks like afterwards.
Nice job, after watching you weld I remember I have a MiG gun light, those work great for old eyes. Going to be to be a neat truck. 👍
Yes, those lights are awesome …. yes, the girlfriend is going to have a pretty sweet truck to drive around this summer
Very nice, you got a ton of work done on a short time, hope to see you back on the wife’s truck soon, catch you later
Will do man thanks for watching 👍👍
Nice work, reminds me when I did a 52 FORD F1 on an S10 chassis. Happy Holidays 👍🏻
Hey JJ, did you do that before you started the channel
Oh yes, long before the channel.
I like that screwdriver/vise-grip tip. Thank you.
Your welcome bro thanks for watching
Awesome video friend 😊definitely subscribed 👍
Awesome man thanks for watching & I will check out your channel as well 🍺
Hi sir, love the video I do have one question, where did you get the body and bed mounts at? Thanks in advance.
I made them myself… I’m going to be posting another video of me making similar mounts for the next project … thanks for watching 🍺

Yes, it is complicated but you will surely be happy at the end.

Suggestion: make Playlists so your builds are easier to follow
Thanks for the suggestion 🍺🍺I’m just learning this RUclips stuff I promise the videos will get better..

When you’re welding on the frame, does your welder have to be a 220v?
Thanks for watching .. yes it’s a 220 welder
What year of s10 the frame from and is it long bed did u have to cut the frame
Thanks for watching … I used a 84 long bed regular cab frame.. I cut 6 inches off the back & the front horns …

rule? what rule??
No there’s no rule, unless the welds look really crappy
Would the S10 work for a 58 Apache?
The front clip would but not the whole frame unless you cut it and alter it
