  • This is an old tape recording from a recital with Murray Perahia. There is some background noise but it is in my opinion still the best performance of this sonata I have heard so I just had to upload it. I didn´t use any noise reduction since it cuts frequences from the piano. There is only some slight use of the equalizer.

Thank you for this. Murray Perahia is a great pianist and musician and also a kind and unpretentious person. I love his work.

Could anyone inform me which sonatas of Mozart did Perahia recorded?
    Thanks!

If you are looking into his studio Mozart piano sonatas recordings, this is it:
      www.amazon.com/Mozart-Sonatas-Piano-Murray-Perahia/dp/B00138H2JU
it's by far one of the best recordings of these Mozart piano sonatas, and I wish, like many hundreds of thousands of other people out there do, he did the complete set. The same goes for the Beethoven sonatas, by the way. Maybe in the coming years! Murray Perahia is perhaps the most refined pianist of his generation and has the highest artistic standards. And he will not waver in faithfully abiding by those high standards in all his recorded repertoire work. That is why I consider him my favorite interpreter regardless of what he performs.
