‘Extra’ Exclusive: Michelle Stafford’s First Day Back on the Set of ‘The Young and the Restless’

- Actress Michelle Stafford is giving the fans what they want!
For years, soap opera viewers have been expressing that they would love to see Michelle back on the daytime drama "The Young and the Restless," and they are getting their wish fulfilled this week!
Only “Extra” with was Stafford for her first day back on set. Michellesaid she is happy to be back and that she is ready to resume bringing to life Phyllis Summers Abbott, a role she played for 16 years before leaving in 2013. She pointed out, “It's been six years since I worked here, and nothing has really changed."

I love Gina her work is undeniable and maybe they can get her back one day in a different role. It happens all the time. The fire Michelle Stafford brings is no contest she made Phyllis and will forever be Phyllis.

Angela Curry that would be wonderful, but they’ve never had an actress who played one big role on the show play another role. At least I’ve never seen that happen and I’ve been watching for over 30 years.

This really made my day!!!! I refused to accept any replacement's and no disrespect to the previous Phyllis. I'm spoiled and I absolutely missed you! I've grown up on Y&R and this makes me happy especially since the passing of Kristoff. Welcome back!

It took me a while to warm up to Gina Tignoni, but now that I like her, they get rid of her and bring back old-new Phyllis. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

when Michelle left, and Gina Tanogi played her part, it took some getting used to, then I really loved her as Phyllis, now I'm sad that Gina is gone, and now I got to get used to Michelle again. I just hope Gina was appreciated for her good work all the time she played the part, and I wish her the best in her new roles wherever she goes. but I still like Michelle as Phyllis too though.

I've only been watching Y&R since 2016, and Gina's Phyllis was the character I loved to hate. And boy do I mean hate. So while I can see Michelle is talented, the show just won't be the same for me if I suddenly like Phyllis lol.

i liked Gina but Michelle IS Phyllis.
Michelle is a great actress but Gina did a phenomenal work, espacially with the Marco's storyline and the affair with Billy. These stories put her at the top and she delivered great perfomances. Since then, i fully loved her as the new Phyllis. So i don't understand why the writters had the need to bring Michelle back, i mean she doesn't belong to Y&r anymore.

When the credits come on at the beginning of the show, the woman walking toward you, in the long dress, you NEVER see her face, just her walking toward you, that is Michelle. I always did like her. But she's messed up on the show now. She's playing dirty and I don't like dirty. And just for the record, they can drop Adam of the nearest cliff and I wouldn't care in the slightest.

ANOTHER Scientologist on Y&R, this one doesn't blend, she's polarizing in a creepy way, like most celeb Scientologists are. Hope they bring Gina back.
