Not playing field. It happened when srilankan team returned to the hotel by team bus. The bus driver was really a hero. He kept driving away from shooters and told all the players and coach to lie down
The thing is that India has faced a lot of horrendous terrorist attacks whenever they gave way for Pakistan people to come in heaps. Because terrorists merge themselves into the pakistani crowd and are unrecognisable. Hence for security purposes they don't grant the visa. Imagine if a few loonatics were present in the stadium and blew themselves up or started spraying bullets into the crowd. It would have been a disaster

The visas were not issued to the Pakistanis because everytime they come here some of them just don't go back. they just go underground & stay in India forever, happened many times before so this time India is taking precautions based on the economic conditions in Pakistan
a bigger reason for that is political power, India is at a much much higher position geopolitically in the world right now and its flexing its muscles. It's a power show, it always has been between the two. When pakistan was powerful, they did the same thing. You can ban anything or make certain rules on the matter of national security; when in reality, it is a just a mask covering the fact that you're just being condescending. That's the whole visa issue. Honestly, it is a bit of a shame that neighboring countries require a visa for entry and exit in south asia. Again, tho a problem created and worsened by the british.

It’s not surprising that India did not give visas to Pakistanis since we recently lost lives to Pakistani terrorists who infiltrate in name of jihad and we are currently eliminating them as well. There’s a lot of anger amongst the general public of India. The infiltration of Pakistani terrorists has been a huge issue since independence. We have lost a lot of human lives in multiple terror attacks like 26/11 mumbai attacks, the plane hi-jack and the attack on Indian parliament. Not to forget these terrorists comfortably thrive on Pakistani land and Pakistan being a safe haven to them. India has also given multiple hard proofs as well.

It's for security reasons years ago during similar match lot of Pakistan visas were given to Pakistani out of which 5000 such fans went missing and never went back to Pakistan few of them were caught in terrorism and drugs related cases and returned but most of them disappeared permanently.
14 Pakistani who were granted visas went missing in INDIA that is the problem. We share the same dna and language. so it is easy for them to come from a poor country and disappear in India as economic migrants

- Why do Pakistanis not get a visa easily because they go missing, a few years back when Pakistanis got an Indian visa many of them went missing and are still at large. We have a large Muslim population and almost all of the Indian subcontinent Muslims were converted by different means at the time of tyrannical Islamic rule in India so they easily get mixed with the population. Now the Pakistani economy is in the doldrums so they are going everywhere illegally.

Pakistan was formed as a homeland for Indian Muslims who refused to stay in a secular ( Hindu majority) Indian nation. Pakistan adopted a policy of "bleeding India through thousand cuts" since it's inception. Hence India refuses to play bilateral series against Pakistan in either India or Pakistan. The logic is that u cannot kill our soldiers at the border while playing Cricket. India only plays its north western neighbour in ICC events like World Cup & Champions trophy. The average Indians are happy with this arrangement.
The reason India is hesitant to give visa to Pakistani cricket fans is that some of the Pakistani disappear in India and never go back to Pakistan. Pakistan's ISI (Pakistan's spy agency) trains these people and it is very hard to locate them and deport them back to Pakistan because they look like Indians and speak the same language. Also, there are some Indian citizens (Muslims especially) that sympathize with Pakistan and provide shelter and support the these so called Pakistani cricket fans. Obviously, not every Pakistani cricket fan coming to India is an ISI agent but how do you determine that? They form a sleeper cell and cause terrorism in parts of India especially in the Indian side of Kashmir! BTW, it is equally difficult for any Indian to get Pakistani visa so it works both ways! Jai Hind!
