You are totally right. Those are the worst kind of people that wait for your mistake, when you made it they blame you or tell leaders how not responsible you are. And when you made good thing, they are bragging and taking work like their own. I hate those people. What I have faced is such level of insecurity from those people, that they are managers without competitive knowledge! I taught them before because they don’t know how to make some things. They don’t like me being promoted or whatever. Is it possible that people that have over 10, 15 or even 20 years of experience see me as competition?! With those people being nice is not good deal. Kara, they live only to impress people on higher levels, leadership. I’m finding ways to promote myself to others and to speak up, because I’m too confident and I know who I am! Thanks for opening my eyes and confirming lots of things! Great video as always!!! Much appreciated.
I'm so glad you enjoyed this video Ana! It sounds like you've had some experiences with toxic managers. It's a shame but it's a part of working life. Unfortunately, it's all too common! Yes, I think people with 10+ years of experience can see others who are less experienced as competition. At the end of the day, toxic people, whether at work or home, are insecure. That is commonly the main reason why they're toxic. It's great you're finding ways to promote yourself to others, speak up and let people see your true value and potential. Don't let those toxic people keep you down!
After you get a job interview scheduled and you have your prospective boss's name, start looking for red flags on their social media. Some include, but not limited to: 1. Excessive use. Take note of the times they make their posts; if it's done during normal working hours and it's ALL the time, it really makes you question how they manage their time. 2. Narcissistic traits. Do they have a lot of selfies? Do they like sharing photos of their valuable possessions? Do they brag a lot? 3. Besides LinkedIn, are they friends with coworkers? This could be a sign of lack of boundaries. 4. Lack of professionalism. Do they post pictures of themselves at bars, strip clubs, etc.? Are they super opinionated on touchy subjects like politics and religion? 5. Corporate simping. This is when they suck up to their employer and call them "family". You can also tell they're a corporate simp if they criticize quiet quitting and rant on "no one wants to work!". This is a sign they will never have your back.
I was very outspoken at work. I got myself fired and collected 6 months of unemployment because they had no reason to fire me. That gave me time to sell my house and move to another city. I don't like the whooshy noises in this video.

Thank you!
Sick, insecure individuals. Causes so many talented people to leave the company.
It unfortunately has that impact.
Another toxic red flag: "Fast-paced environment"
💯
Threatening your job is one that I've experienced.
Screw working for someone else.
