    How are you liking that return spring? I couldn't it to work on a dual quad FE edelbrock Intake with Fitech throttle bodies. It interfered with the linkage. Nice little kit though.

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  15 дней назад +1

      I like it.. kinda pricey but it worked out well for my custom set up .. i used the holley sniper duel TBI linkage kit as well to tie the cabs together. i did add a extra spring down low on rear carb to the automatic kick down bracket that's no being used.
      Thanks for asking..

    • @arturozarate1752
      @arturozarate1752 15 дней назад +1

      @@quick-performance-services yeah pricey was my thought too. I used a Joe's Racing linkage kit to attach the linkages 1 to 1. They're on an Edelbrock 7505 and it's a 487ci FE. It's in a 67 GT500 and the factory pedal linkage wouldn't attach in the right spot. It was nice, but I bet I can take a shock off my 1/10 scale RC truck and make it work.

    Very nice build! 👍 would you like to share engine specs? What heads are on the 414 and is the Howards cam an off the shelf cam or custom ground?

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  Год назад +8

      it's a off the shelf cam. closest to the max cfm lift the heads would flow before i ported them. I posted a video of the head work so far. you can watch it or just read the info. but the cam specs are: 255/267@.50 .640 lift w/ 104 I/C and a LSA@108 installed straight up.. RPM range is: 2800 to 6800+ ( 1/2 mile oval track cam.)
      thanks for asking... :)
      I work a lot and I'll post the engine specs. soon as i can..thanks..

      yea i believe so too...with almost a square bore and stoke and rod combination.. I'll gain more torque and lose some.. HP.. ( along with some extra ware ) But remember torque gets you going and HP pull's you the rest of the way... i built this motor and car for a basic all around build.. street/ road course/ drag strip.. thanks for commenting ...

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  Год назад +2

      Yes it's the lower intake for a carb set up and they make a single and dual top for the hi-ram.. I have part numbers if you want them.. I'm at shop working on car. Give me a few hrs and when I get home I'll post them for you.. you can drill n tap the bosses for N.O.S fogger nozzles as well...

      @@quick-performance-services please that would b awesome for part numbers, when u get a chance

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  Год назад +2

      the part number for the Holley hi-ram lower intake for a 9.5 deck (351) is #300-243 or black finish # 300-243BK
      the top plenum for a single carb seem's to not exist.. I'm sure 4 years ago when i started my build i seen one but i could be confused due to the fact i bought the Holley fabricated intake first and sent it back due to i didn't like the welding ect. If your determined to run a single carb on this intake you can use what i did to run my carb's in line.
      i used a blank top #300-208 or #300-208BK (black) and bought super sucker's 1 inch carb spacer's it only raises the carb 1/2 inch the other half inch is below the intake top that is the same thickness as the top it self. (flush).
      PNO. # HVH-SS4150-DPAL
      for the record: the Holley Hi-ram is recommended for a power range of 3000 to 9000+ RPM
      the idea of running a single carb mite be a issue due to the outer cylinders being lean and having fuel mixture issues with other cylinders robbing fuel at low or high RPM. if you made your own baffle under the intake top and cut down the space in the plenum itself it mite work better. I hear this is a very good intake for a single carb set up . Ibillmitchellproducts.com/product/bill-mitchell-products-bmp-063415-intake-manifold-ford-small-block-9-500-4150-carb-flange-click-here-more-info/ this is my next intake to uses on my build if the 2x's don't work out...hope this help...

    • @alltherpm
      @alltherpm Год назад +1

      Well I got my intake and blank top now ima cut hole for carb, so u have half the intake spacer under intake, I'm not quite understanding how u put half the spacer under intake and still bolted it down, I hope u still can awnser, I no its an old video but amazing

    • @alltherpm
      @alltherpm Год назад +1

      Also so a dyno with a single carb and made 20hp less with one carb, & if I lose a little ill make it up on looks!! Holley advertises this intake power band from 1500- 7000, I make peak power at 6800 so rpms is not an issue with afr220's

    What size carbs are you running?

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  Год назад +3

      750 DP with #80 primary's n #84 secondary's 4 corner idle adj. with 6.5 P.V in prime's and sec. just to fire motor up I'm sure it will change once it get's in car and under a load.
      using on line calculators motor want's 988 CFM take 30% off the duel carb's that should work out to be a 1050 CFM single carb.
      I custom made the intake top to run the Holley's inline on a Holley hi-ram intake. got a blank top from Holley. plan on running this on the street.. :)
      so i was going after old school street tunnel ram.
      I'll update more of the build when i get time or some one can just ask...thanks for asking

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  3 месяца назад

      yea i guess you can say so.. but anybody running a solid roller would love to see that reading.. but the video was the engine break in.. running at : 18 degrees retarded.. and running at 1200 rpms.. i like running a higher idle due to a solid roller depends on oil splash.. I'd rather run a high rpm then the sound of the cam. that people like to hear.. but i started the tune.. you can watch the new videos it's down to about 8 inches.. now..

    • @quick-performance-services
      @quick-performance-services  Год назад +5

      I could guess and throw out a number that's not fact... But a guess or sounds good.. I'd rather post a true number when I'm able.. but the free online calculators along with the bore n stroke and compression and cam spec. And intake valve size With 110 VE.... If my port work on heads are on point. It gave a number of 668 hp N/A @7000 at crank..
      I personally think that high due to the heads so that's why I'm not throwing numbers out.
      I'm hoping for over 600 hp and I'll go from there.. the bore n stroke n rod ratio's will lose me some hp but gain in torque...hope that helps your questions
