Thanks for your reaction! Yes, that was Geoff playing the harmonica (he had to learn to play it back when he was working a Blues Brothers show at Universal theme park). The prison he rented is a closed prison in Vero Beach Florida (again he did another video on a very hot summer day in Florida without air conditioning). Some fun little Easter eggs hidden here such as the book the Geoff clone with glasses is reading is the autobiography of Johnny Cash and the numbers on their prison uniforms (if you check them with your phone you will see that the numbers spell out the names of Geoff and his clones).
Great reaction. I love Geoff’s rendition so much. Yes he was really playing the harmonica. When he worked at Universal Studios in Orlando, he played Elwood Blues for like 3 shows and it was mandatory for him to learn how to play the harmonica.
The prison was decommissioned in 2012 and is being converted to an algae farm. Two buildings were not yet converted. Geoff's preferred exercise is pullups, but the catwalk that was originally there had been removed when they got there to shoot the video so he had to improvise the pushups. When he and his wife Kathy arrived, they asked him when the rest of his crew would be there. They were stunned to find that it was just the two of them. Thanx for going back when you talked over some of the good stuff, I'd hate to miss anything!
This was sooo good. I loved all the easter eggs in it as well. The numbers on their shirts are not random. If you look at the numbers on the phone the spell out the Geoff clones name. Also, near the end there are 3 more Geoffs on the second floor. The book Jeff is reading is Johnny Cash's autobiography. Just so much to see. Great reaction!!
You don’t have to be ‘right’ to get a like from me. But when it comes to music you usually are! I really appreciate his slower, higher start to this and the long holds on ‘bend’ and ‘when’. It reminds me of a long train whistle sounding. And then in comes the rhythm of the guitar as the clacking of the track sounds. Thanks for the reaction and pointing out the country chords! Always great to learn new things.
Great reaction Chris. I never liked Johnny Cash or this song by him. However. As usual Geoff sprinkled his magic and made me love it. The prison is the Indian River Correctional Institute in Vero Beach Florida. The owner plans to make it an algae farm eventually. Until then he rents it out. The AC wasn't working. It was 90° inside and 80° outside. So he and Kathy had to take frequent car ac breaks to cool off. Yep. That was Geoff playing the harmonica. He learned to play in 2014 when he played Elwood Blues a few times at Universal Studios Orlando. The numbers on his shirts match the numbers on the phone keypad and spell out each of their names.... Jeff, Geoff, Daryl and Jeoph. We're guessing that one of the guys on the balcony is Goff. The other two are new. I forgot to mention in the last video I watched you react in that you have a beautiful singing voice.
Thank you for another great reaction to Geoff.
Geoff hits 4 f#1 in chest. Absolutely mind breaking.

Can't help but Love your Reactions, Chris!!! Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!!!
Glad you like them!
He is playing this. When he was at Universal, they wanted him to learn the harmonica for Elwood Blues.

Because you were right ;)

He did such a great job with this. On a side note, each number spells out the name in text.
Hey. Y'all... I liked the video before I even started it.
We love the way Geoff talks, with all his expected phrases and ways of building his songs.
To be fair he rented one section of this old prison which is being transformed into an algae farm I believe. But very impressive nonetheless.

I never liked Johnny Cash either. I also like Geoff's cover better too
The prison was decommissioned...
