Danny Gaither was a gospel music singer from Alexandria, Indiana, and an original member of the Bill Gaither Trio. By the time Danny Gaither was 18, he, brother Bill, and sister Mary Ann had formed the Gaither Trio, and the group was singing at churches and religious events.

I met him in 1980 when I was singing on the same program as him and I ended up recording an album in 1981 at the Barn, a recording studio he had founded.
