      You mean the one where the other people were just idiots ignoring the open wiring to the trap? Yes its a painful trap but they don't even try just pulling the wires out of it. On top of that just smack the box hard enough to set the shotgun off and grab the key. I feel like they just played that game so poorly.

    Saw X was just unfair. Valentina and Mateo deserved to live. They did what had to be done, but she lost time on the tourniquet and that's all that screwed her over, and Mateo who had a BRUTAL death he was screwed over by "you have 3 minutes to do this, BUUUUUT an undisclosed amount of that time must not be used in the actual process here because it's needed for the dissolving". Like...that's not okay. He should have been given a shorter time period to get the brain matter out and put it in the beaker, or told how long it would take for it to dissolve. He had no way of knowing. Mateo and Valentina deserved to get a pass.

    When I first watched the brain trap, I got curious, and looked up a brain diagram to see what exactly Mateo would be cutting into. Turns out, the two areas on the topside of the brain are the frontal lobe and the parietal lobe; which, among other things, are responsible for voluntary movement and processing sensorial information respectively. So even though it didn't happen in the movie, realistically there was a huge chance of him straight up losing control of his body or going blind halfway through.
    Definitely the most unfair trap in the series. Good pick.

    The problem with some of the traps is that there wasn't enough time given. Chester's character in Saw 7 who was glued to the car seat had a measly 30 seconds to tear his back off.
    Also Seth and Kerry couldn't get out of the pendulum and Angel traps both only had a minute both had to mutilate their hand(s) and died in horrific fashion.

    On average, an adult can only lose 4.24 pints of blood before dying (there are 9.6-12 pints on average). Losing five pints in the 'pints of sacrifice' is impossible for the average person. One person would have to die and then the other could use the rest of their blood to pass. Even then, if the person was on the lower end of average, you'd still have to give up 0.4 pints (half the blood in either hand).

Same goes for Spiral. Everything was unbeatable there on purpose because it wasn't Kramer's job.

  • @Sweetiedgdhbse
    @Sweetiedgdhbse 6 месяцев назад +7

    I disagree with the needle pit being on here. Here’s why:
    1. U said there is a chance the glow in the dark thing works. The chance alone gives opportunity for it to me more beatable. This is just speculation so the next reasons are stronger arguments.
    2. We saw Amanda succeeded in the part 1 so Clearly it would have been beatable if they had even but 5 more seconds for the guy to turn the key.
    3. There were many people there with clothes/jackets/ and tons of household items around the saw 2 movie, they could have put a lot of jackets on Amanda and helped her be more efficient or they could have grabbed a household item like a broom and sifted thru the needles. Or someone could have went in there with shoes, and slowly did there thing. The outcome of them throwing Amanda in there made it more difficult than it had to be. I would honestly prefer this trap because being pricked my a bunch of needles at my pace is better than cutting off my leg or being excluded.
    4. Lastly, the result of losing this trap isn’t immediate death like 99% of saw traps. Keep in mind the less consequences , makes the traps easier. All the needle trap was going to allow them to do was to move onto the next door. Not sure if there were antidotes there or the escape , but I can’t imagine 1 person succeeding would mean everyone escapes. Likely there was just an antidote. There were many many other chances for people to get antidotes in this movie.
    5. The needles being used does make it worse but the movie never said that

  • @Shadowcat753
    @Shadowcat753 6 месяцев назад +8

    Honestly, the Flammable Jelli trap is why I suspect John Kramer secretly has a high-functioning version of Autism here. Combined with his thing for engineering, this is the only way I can see him rationalizing that someone can legit figure out and survive this trap.
    He sees some sort of logical pattern that you'd literally have to have some next-level math skills to figure out otherwise. You'd have to rival me in figuring out how to win multiple raffles in a single year's time during college - I literally won in one school year: two TVs, a winter set, a branded blanket, multiple gift-cards, via multiple weekend events. I sold both TVs to actually help pay off my student loans faster too (they were both flat-screens, and Craigslist loves flat-screen TVs).
    But my point stands, you're going to have to reach, at least, my strategy level via your math/decoding skills just to have a chance at surviving the Flammable Jelli Trap at all!
    Also, there is a way to beat the Brain Surgery Trap, in theory - use the skull piece (with the flesh and hair still attached) you have to cut out anyway as tissue to dissolve before literally using any brain bits. The scale likely won't be able to tell the difference if the tissues still dissolve. And note the next part, I'm saying as a Psychology minor that has actually taken a class or two in anatomy as well:
    What's unfair about that particular trap is what area of the brain John wants to cut out - he should be going for the front of his brain rather than the back. The back has the parts directly involved in being able to see, period. The parts in the front may screw with your emotions and personality but is legit survivable to lose an entire Frontal Lobe.

    • @spookylittlebat5208

    kicking the chair in tongue trap is unbeatable as well because when your tongue is attached to too many vital parts of the body knocking him out then getting run over by the train to even be able to survive you woul have to climb the chains and swing and maybe live

  • @poekiebeest7729
    @poekiebeest7729 6 месяцев назад +9

    Well, I disagree on their point of the subway trap. I know some basic biology so here goes. If you rip out your tongue (not cut, but rip like in the trap) there’s nerves connected to your tongue deeper into your mouth. Once you rip out your tongue, your whole body goes into a state of shock and you pass out. So even if he did rip it out, he’d pass out and get run over anyway…

    • @TheSofkujepanen
      @TheSofkujepanen 6 месяцев назад +6

      Yeah, theres simply no way of surviving that. The amount of blood vessels that are connected to that area would make it so that you would die from blood loss almost immediately, even if you somehow managed to dodge the train

    • @bbyghostie1044
      @bbyghostie1044 Месяц назад +1

      Bleeding out, shock, possibly passing out so you bleed out or choke on the blood, possibly breaking legs so you can't get help, and likely not having much time to get help anyways. Yeah, the dude was cooked
      Pretty sure all the traps in spiral were either unwinnable or you would die from the injuries anyways. Which makes sense for schenk. He wants revenge and to get rid of dirty cops. He may say he believes in jigsaws philosophy, but he's taken it and turned it into his own

    The pints of blood trap frustrates me so much. Even with just the two people making it, they walked back into the previous room with the other woman dead in the bathtub. They could have taken her body and used her blood 😭
    I know its hard to think in those moments, but they spent quite a bit of time expositing their crimes/how they all couldve survived instead of brainstorming. And the fact that they went back into the last room with a solution right there really frustrates me lol
    Tbh the room with the grates felt the most obvious imo. I understand why they didnt figure out the first room/guillotine trap keys though given that the guy suddenly started the timer. If they had more time, they could have let one person go and unlock themselves, then try to get the keys back to others while a second person goes for their key and then also helps. I think itd be harder to figure out that the keys are the same in that short of a time period though

  • @FTZPLTC
    @FTZPLTC 5 месяцев назад +2

    One of the biggest problems with Saw traps, imo, is the time constraints. There's things a person *could* do to themselves, but you'd have to allow for them passing out for a while from the pain or blood loss.
    I always assumed the jaw chain in the Classroom Trap was part of how it was rigged though, because even if you could survive it, I don't think you could physically do that to yourself.

    really proud of you 2 for this channel, you seem to be getting very high views for the videos you do and I love the video topics.
    Saw 1 2 3 are my favourite films ever I've seen them over and over and over and know the script and all of it that's how much I love it.
    Flammable jelly one annoyed me, really glad to see it on the list and enjoyed listening to you 2 talk about it because I think of it a lot and no one I know really talks about these films.
    i really, really don't like the trap ideas in the later films (after saw 3), they become really upsetting and way too violent and ridiculous. Makes Saw look like a really bad gore appeal film now.
    A trap I think deserves to be on the list which wasn't, would be Jeff's trap from Saw 1.
    The guy was strapped in the chair, couldn't move, yet there are 2 drills coming into his neck, he was gonna have a really painful death.
    it's a bit unclear what his game really meant, the key was "in the box" and there were many many keys to chose from so Detective Sing had to shoot the drills, that was the only way to save him.
    My question is that if the detective DIDN'T turn up, then how would Jeff's game play out? That a trap I was hoping to see you on your list,
    please tell me what you think!!

    I watched Saw X in the cinema without seeing the trailer and the brain trap didn't make me shocked or queasy or anything because it was just too ridiculous. For all he knew he'd be cutting into the part of his brain that controlled the hand he was cutting with. Such nonsense.
    And the wax trap always bothered me too because IIRC she had to cut through it at her neck, which would've made her a quadriplegic and she wouldn't have even been able to move her hands to take the sheet off her face if the restraints were undone. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though, it's been a while.

    The pool trap from the spiral was pretty beatable, but the time limit makes it very hard. Try to take your shoe off, with the shoe bend the cable so water can't touch it, and try to get your fingers out like escaping the chinese finger trap. I can of couse be wrong so correct me if I am ❤
    Also, the cutting your leg off was easy. Cut off the rope that is holding your neck to the machine and free yourself. I don't know if she could've cut it in time, or would she break the gigli saw doing it, but still if it works it's better than cutting your leg off.

    This might sound silly, but the thing that has always bugged me most about the classroom trap has nothing to do with pulling the chains out, but instead wondering how Amanda and/or Hoffman got the chains into his flesh in the first place. Those rings appear to be rather solid, so how did they manage to pierce his skin?

      Think of the rings being like large piercings. You’d probably pierce the skin first to create a tunnel, then thread the rings through, then use some heavy duty equipment to tighten the rings up so they form a solid circle.

    I agree that the brain surgery is impossible. But I don’t think it necessarily diminishes the scene in Saw 3.
    Lynn is trying to perform an impromptu surgery to alleviate pressure on the brain, so she’s obviously being careful not to do any unnecessary damage while he’s convulsing. Mateo is just trying to break the skull by any means necessary, so it’s understandable that he’d do it faster and (probably) less careful

    There was stitches to cut so he could get the key from under his eye, he didn't need to stab out his eye, it was behind his eye as the X-Ray showed.
    I mean out of this whole list, the brain surgery is a literal death sentence to anyone who has no medical training, but Mateo almost did it with just being a vet worker, so I feel if you had enough medical training and a calm enough head, you could do the brain surgery trap. The bone marrow and hot wax to me are way more unbeatable.

    Ok, I've had to get this off my chest for a bit, and I can tie it into the flammable gel trap dude too. So many people miss the points of some of the victims. Specifically, everyone misses it on the janitor. Yes, guy got a raw deal for sure. But it makes perfect sense. John got cancer. Smoking causes cancer. Furthermore, second hand smoking can cause cancer in someone who's never smoked. It would've been more impactful if they showed the janitor smoking in his apt and then cutting to a neighbor with a coughing kid or something, but yeah, in John's logic, it makes sense.
    With the flammable gel dude, I forgot all he really said was that he was sick. But I had always interpreted it as the guy was commiting insurance fraud. Which has an effect on everyone when people game the system. Which could lead to there not being money for other people to get treatment they actually need. Like a crazy experimental cancer treatment from a sketchy clinic down in Mexico run by a Sweed. Lol

    Something that bugs me probably more than it should is how often people say the subway trap was not only survivable, but relatively easy in comparison to the other traps. On paper, yeah sure, okay. It’s an easy trap. Just kick the chair out and rip your tongue out. Great, but it seems people really underestimate how hard this would actually be. There’s so much tissue that connects your tongue to your throat. Not to mention it goes down about a foot into your throat. I’m sure an average persons weight would do it, but you’d be in no position to run anywhere. And you’d probably bleed out in a matter of minutes. I truly believe it’s an unbeatable trap.

    I believe the Flammable Jelly trap could be beat, if the poison was slow acting simply blow out the candle and take your time and try to pick the safe, yes the combination is on the wall but finding it without slipping up isn't really worth trying. The glass is the least of your worry here, and likely you still won't make it out but I think limiting one of the ways to fail might be the best bet looking for the combination among hundreds is just a redundancy you would be essentially doing the same thing if you would just try to crack the lock, so why not remove the redundancy if you already expect to not get out. Pay attention as you turn the dial feel for it to bind or even try to listen through the metal for clicks, and hope for the best. Still its not likely to beat but certainly not unbeatable only made to seem that way.
