    It takes a few weeks to get used to the size, then you find you really,really like it best. I'm selling my larger car because the Fiat 500 has hooked me.

    I bought a 2015 Red Fiat 15 months ago. I LOVE it !It has more power than I'd have thought.Alot of get up & go...I am a petite ,single,female,so the car being so small is very befitting for me.It is a Lot of fun to drive.I have driven school buses,18 wheelers,etc. By far,it is very different to drive ,but,it is a very fun,cool little car.Love it...

    I used to have one of those, but mine was red and the cabrio version, same year do. I had to traded in because it started to brake a lot. But dam, I miss that little car...

    I might getting one of these next year. Do you know how it handles in snow? I live in northern indiana and I'm kinda worried about the 2wd and low ground clearance. Thanks.

    2:00 The front seat is moved all the way back, there is more legroom if the front seat is forward.

    I'm thinking about getting it as first car, but if I try to configure one on the Belgian Fiat website, I can only get one with manual transmission.
    I guess I'm going to get the 0.9L petrol one, with 85HP.
    I'm certain that it's gonna be way faster in manual, because you hear the car shifting way too late when you're accelerating.
    It's a very tiny, cute car. Tinier than most European cars, though.
    But it's cute and fuel economical, that's all a high school / college student needs, right?
    Only sad that it doesn't come with four doors.

    What happens if I go into sport mode & shift into the plus & minus altogether?
    Do I become Torretto?

    How tall are you? I am 5'11" - 6ft and considering to buy this car. Only thing is I am worried about reliability because auto sites say Fiat has really horrible reliability but i spoke to some Fiat owners and they said that they love it and have no problems.

    • @AutoEnthusiast
      @AutoEnthusiast  9 лет назад +2

      I am 5'8". Have you sat in one before? I don't think head room would be that much of an issue. Most of the people I know that have owned Fiats have had no issues. It might not have the reliability of a Subaru, but it is no different than any of its direct competitors. I would suggest test driving one and looking into warranties if you have further worry about reliability. Another plus is that they are relatively cheap to upkeep, so if something were to go wrong, it would either be covered by warranty, or a pretty cheap fix.

    The 500 has horrible resale value in the US. For what they run new there are FAR better options. Used is the ticket though. There are two online locally for 3-5k$ one has 35k miles the other has 54k miles. Both 5 years old. You pay double that for a similar Sonic or any other subcompact. Sadly the 500 just doesn't do anything well, it's fule economy can be beaten by many larger much more comfortable cars, it only has two doors, it isn't very well made, many other subcompacts can lay waste to it (ride, handling, acceleration, build quality, fule economy). Not to rag on it too much, used they're cheaper then dirt. It really is hard to find more commuter or grocery getter for the price used.
