  • Since the late 1980s, ROE Dental Laboratory has fabricated Valplast restorations with excellent results.
Valplast is a flexible denture base resin that is ideal for partial dentures and unilaterals. Guaranteed for the life of the patient by Valplast International Corp. not to break, Valplast will replace the restoration free of charge if breakage occurs. Valplast provides a fully functional yet aesthetically superior removable restoration.
When you need extra stability, we recommend fabricating a Valplast Hybrid. This type of case is designed with a metal framework in order to include rest seats and prolong the life of the appliance in the event your patient needs teeth added.

Very nice. I'm getting a flexible partial denture for replacing teeth #18, 19 and 20 (had bridge there but eventually the teeth failed). My question is: What should I look for when I go back to the dentist when the partial is ready in two weeks? The dentist took a digital scan using a machine with the name Itero on it. Just hope I made the right choice, as it was more expensive than the traditional metal ones that my insurance would have covered most of the cost for. Thanks!

Hi Mr Ornstein. Thanks for reaching out. Its a good question. Generally a flexible partial denture looks more lifelike than a metal denture and doesn't require metal clasps "gripping" the teeth.
There are a handful of things you will want to check when you have your initial seating of the partial denture. 1) How the partial denture fits. It cannot be loose and must seat passively. If you feel any irritation please inform your doctor and they can address it. 2) The bite. When your upper and lower jaws close can you see a natural alignment of the teeth. 3) The tooth shade of the partial denture. The partial denture should be close to, if not exactly, the shade of the opposing teeth in order for it to look natural.
It is not unusual for partial dentures to need adjusting so please communicate clearly to your doctor as they can only address what you share with them.
BTW the Itero device you saw is a digital intraoral scanner. Approx. 60-70% of US dentists use them as they are great at capturing very detailed 3D scans of the complete area.
I hope this helps you and good luck

@@ROEDentalLaboratory Thank you so much for your detailed reply! It is very helpful, and I will keep these points in mind when I have the initial seating of the partial.
The Dentist is making the shade the same as #21 which has a crown, so it will blend.
Maybe I'll report back as to my first experience with the partial denture. Just hoping it turns out well!
      Thanks again!

@@ROEDentalLaboratory I'd like to tell you when I went to the dentist I had a choice of six in front of me, I did not know I was getting yours I had watched several videos on RUclips and some people were buying the metal ones I didn't want I didn't want stiff ones all the ones she showed me I did not want you showed me the flexible ones and that's the one I wanted so my first appointment after picking everything you know that one I came back for the next appointment they took a play some sort of plaything thing put it in my mouth I had to do it for my uppers and lowers and buy it up and down on it and everything and then took them off then for my third appointment I came back and I picked the teeth I picked the teeth color she brought a whole bunch of colors different colors so from bright white and everything so I told her to match my current color of my whiteness on my teeth so we went with that and took on it and then she sure didn't point it to me and I told her that color was okay and so we couldn't be able to tell them from my real teeth, so on my next appointment I had it was like fake with the teeth and everything and she had me but put them in there but I'm saying now and say is that comfortable with you and made all the adjustments on this fake plate I didn't understand as we were progressing okay now on my last appointment I got the teeth she put them in my mouth told me to go buy it up and down showed me in detail how I could get him out and everything and I wasn't sure and everything and you can't even tell I have a partial you can't tell and I didn't think I'd be able to get him out because you're nice and tight and so I love them going to Amazon and got the correct stuff a dental brush and the correct stuff to go with the type of teeth I have and I read the reviews on them and I talked with the manufacturer over the phone so I'm getting the correct thing how to keep it nice clean and taken care of so I'm getting a year Supply I love them you can't even tell they are so beautiful I made the right choice I never asked how much it cost I did not care you have good quality on cars clothes and Furniture but I think the good quality for your teeth is just as important and so I know I made the right choice because I'm going to be living with them for the rest of my life I did find out from the manufacturer when I talk to them that if I lose future teeth in the in future I can have them add it to my current partials so as I need future partials I can go to the dentist and they can adapt them to my future needs and I like that they're guaranteed for my lifetime not the lifetime of the teeth before my personal lifetime and I added the manufacturers number to my phone in future and I just love them there so beautiful I solved my biggest problem who is measurable before I don't have any teeth on my lower left side and that was my main concern and now I have all the teeth I used to have again thank you
