Day 201 of reviewing various things in Hollow Knight False Knight (theme) Sort of serves as a revamped version of Decisive Battle, it showing that False Knight is the first “main” boss you’ll be likely to fight. Day 70 of commenting. Today I will be talking about the Radiance. Everything about this fight is perfect. The buildup, presentation, music, and attacks. The radiance has a ton of moves it can throw at you, and most of them you’ve been trained to avoid throughout the game. You feel prepared. And the ending is incredibly satisfying. 10/10
Only problem I have with this fight is that it doesn't have any pattern recognitions or something. NKG has like 30 attack variants, and the radiance only has her regular attacks that are the exact same every time and don't depend on your interactions with her or your physical position unlike NKG. It's more of a plain challenge than a fight. Still fun though, and yeah, everything else is great

Day 388 of writing the script for Mossbag’s lore video one word at a time: If you were to ask me, “What is your favorite video game ever made?” I would have to say Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS. But Hollow Knight would be a close second. Hollow Knight was released on February 24th, 2017 by Team Cherry, an indie game studio based in the mythical land of Adelaide, South Australia. Over the past three years, Hollow Knight has become an indie darling. The game has sold over three and a half million copies, it was the opening game at AGDQ 2019. There’s a Hollow Knight book, a line of plushies, T-shirts, nicotine patches, nuclear warheads, and even vinyl records for all you goddamn hipsters. Team Cherry had one goal when making Hollow Knight. They wanted to create a world that allowed players to get completely lost in exploration. We can see this desire in Hollow Knight’s design. The levels in Hollow Knight are massive, with secrets and rewards hidden in every nook and cranny, be that powerful charms, special abilities or uhh… The game’s navigation system requires the player to work for their map, forcing them to make a stronger mental image of the world in their head. Christopher Larkin’s score and Ari Gibson’s artwork lend to this as well, creating an atmosphere that the player won’t want to leave. But there's one aspect of Hollow Knight that keeps people like me coming back: the world building. When Super Metroid launched in 1994, it stood out for its amazing sense of immersion. Now in 1994, I was busy not being alive, but I’ve watched enough RUclips video essays to know that this game was a big deal. In case you didn't know, Super Metroid is basically the granddaddy of all Metroidvanias. That's why they’re called "MetroidVANIAs". Now in Super Metroid, there are moments that give the player a sense of depth. Basically the feeling that this world exists outside of Samus’ interactions with it. In the room right before that diabetic crocodile thing, Samus can find the corpse of a random soldier. Il y a 2 ou 3 mois, j’avais vraiment envie de jouer à ce jeu; mais, avec l’attente, et les nombreux faux espoirs que j’ai eu, si le jeu sort maintenant, je ne l’achèterais probablement pas parce que j’ai trouvé d’autres jeux et que j’ai perdu l’envie de jouer à ce jeu. Le premier Hollow Knight a pris deux fois de temps de développement si Hollow Knight Silksong sort maintenant. En plus de cela, la Team Cherry a plus de moyen qu’avant la sortie d’Hollow Knight. Day 70 of commenting. Today I will be talking about the Radiance. Everything about this fight is perfect. The buildup, presentation, music, and attacks. The radiance has a ton of moves it can throw at you, and most of them you’ve been trained to avoid throughout the game. You feel prepared. And the ending is incredibly satisfying.

Only problem I have with this fight is that it doesn't have any pattern recognitions or something. NKG has like 30 attack variants, and the radiance only has her regular attacks that are the exact same every time and don't depend on your interactions with her or your physical position unlike NKG. It's more of a plain challenge than a fight. Still fun though, and yeah, everything else is great

If you were to ask me, “What is your favorite video game ever made?” I would have to say Cory in the House for the Nintendo DS. But Hollow Knight would be a close second. Hollow Knight was released on February 24th, 2017 by Team Cherry, an indie game studio based in the mythical land of Adelaide, South Australia. Over the past three years, Hollow Knight has become an indie darling. The game has sold over three and a half million copies, it was the opening game at AGDQ 2019. There’s a Hollow Knight book, a line of plushies, T-shirts, nicotine patches, nuclear warheads, and even vinyl records for all you goddamn hipsters.
Team Cherry had one goal when making Hollow Knight. They wanted to create a world that allowed players to get completely lost in exploration. We can see this desire in Hollow Knight’s design. The levels in Hollow Knight are massive, with secrets and rewards hidden in every nook and cranny, be that powerful charms, special abilities or uhh… The game’s navigation system requires the player to work for their map, forcing them to make a stronger mental image of the world in their head. Christopher Larkin’s score and Ari Gibson’s artwork lend to this as well, creating an atmosphere that the player won’t want to leave. But there's one aspect of Hollow Knight that keeps people like me coming back: the world building.
When Super Metroid launched in 1994, it stood out for its amazing sense of immersion. Now in 1994, I was busy not being alive, but I’ve watched enough RUclips video essays to know that this game was a big deal. In case you didn't know, Super Metroid is basically the granddaddy of all Metroidvanias. That's why they’re called "MetroidVANIAs". Now in Super Metroid, there are moments that give the player a sense of depth. Basically the feeling that this world exists outside of Samus’ interactions with it. In the room right before that diabetic crocodile thing, Samus can find the corpse of a random soldier. The Host List currently has 287 Unique Hosts and 87 Repeated Hosts, making it a Total of 374 Guests Hosts.

The Host List consists of every video with a Guest Host. Including Araraura multiple times. I count those separately as well, why?
Because I base my list off of the thumbnails and titles.
When there's no new Host for today, I simply post the "Without a Host List Update" variant, in which I just update the daily counters.
At the bottom of the comment, there's 3 numbers: Unique, Repeated and Total.
The Unique counter used to be called "Total" for a long time, until Day 300 of Daily commenting, where I realized it is the wrong word to use, so now It's "Unique Host Count". Its self explanatory, it counts how many unique hosts there are and have been.
The Repeated count is used for those times there are repeated hosts, where I add "(2nd Time)", "(3rd Time), etc" next to a host's username and add that to the Repeated count.
And lastly, the Total count is both Unique and Repeated counts added up.
Now, for some milestones I reached, and also explanations for new Counters:
In Day 365 of Daily Commenting, I myself hosted DSN, in celebration of Dialy Commenting for a year, coming full circle with my comment.
As of Day 446 of Daily Commenting and thanks to The Smasher's suggestion, I keep track of when a streak of hosts happens, whether they were unique or repeated. And I will say something like "The Streak of 2 from Yesterday has been broken" or "The Host Streak is now 3!", hoping for the Current Record to break.
In Day 574 of Daily Commenting, I hosted DSN again! I felt like it, the "No Update" record" was close to being broken and decided to host, idk.

Il y a 2 ou 3 mois, j’avais vraiment envie de jouer à ce jeu; mais, avec l’attente, et les nombreux faux espoirs que j’ai eu, si le jeu sort maintenant, je ne l’achèterais probablement pas parce que j’ai trouvé d’autres jeux et que j’ai perdu l’envie de jouer à ce jeu. Je pense que mon cas est peut-être le cas d’autres personnes et je trouve cela dommage. Je ne comprend pas pourquoi le développement du jeu prend autant de temps. Le premier Hollow Knight a pris deux fois de temps de développement si Hollow Knight Silksong sort maintenant. En plus de cela, la Team Cherry a plus de moyen qu’avant la sortie d’Hollow Knight. Pour moi, le problème n’est pas le temps de développement parce que la qualité de jeu peut-être maximisée; mais c’est le manque de communication ou bien d’informations de la part du studio de développement.
