I like the way you talk about this. You’ve always been clear about your previous job, paying stuff off, your wife still working a good job, etc.. I dislike some of these channels that like to flaunt off these flashy sales numbers (and they are impressive) but they add no context to them. I won’t name the channel, but was watching one recently titled the video about being a million dollar sales Pokemon company and all this talk About money, etc.. then in the comments it comes out that they are basically breaking even when it comes to card sales , and the money they are making to survive off is from RUclips, brand deals, etc.. it felt disingenuous.. I don’t really care if you sold a million dollars worth of cards but spent 1.2 million on them lol. If you get 5-15% overall profits, after taxes, shipping, fees, materials, and purchasing more product, you’re not taking home those millions.. still a great income for selling cards.. but they sell these unrealistic/fake dreams to people. Thanks for being a bit more transparent when you talk these numbers.
I always appreciate the most transparency possible so that's what I try to give as well. I think showing gross numbers is fair but the more context they can give the better.
Such an ambitious weight goal to set right after collect-a-con Chicago. Guess you won't be able to eat any good food while you're there i guess! It will be my first event so looking forward to it.
