- Hey folks, this search did not take long with our Matrice 30T, Drone Deer recovery kit only a few minutes in and I was able to find the buck laying next to a creek. Unfortunately the deer was not completely dead yet these last few minutes are usually scenes that we don’t see. Thanks so much for all the support you guys have given us at Drone Deer Recovery.

This made my heart hurt. As a life long deer hunter, i respect these animals so much. Its just hard to watch them suffer like that. I know it happens alot, but to watch it, it just feels different. Thanks mike!!
This puts a whole new look at the other side of what happens and in this case, it makes you want to do better as a hunter. This was truly an eye opener for me and hard to watch. Every hunter needs to see this and make good ethical shots. I know sometimes this kind of thing happens but up till now, we never could see it. I just got educated. Thanks Mike.
It's nice to see you show respect. Those bad shots happen.
These types of recoveries are difficult indeed. We have a couple up on our channel too. The #1 reason why we get called for a drone search or a dog track is shot placement. Hunters not being patient and forcing the shot. I say it all the time, "The only shot I had" is really no shot at all. Wait time post shot is the second most reason why we get called. Obviously the hunter failed on both counts...
We can't use drones for recovery in Iowa, but if we could I would definitely make it part of my business.
It is unfortunate that bad shots occur for a variety of reasons and I have had my share. However, I have not had one bad shot since using my range finding bow site. I am not going to mention brand, just wanting to share how confident I feel knowing the exact yardage AND angle when shooting from an elevated position. While bowhunting, none of my last 6 deer made it farther than 50 yards after the shot.
5:31 It would be great if you would discuss the general beliefs of Amish regarding their eschewing of industrial technology and advancements. There's so many rumors and contradictions that are commonly presented outside of their communities. You could help either put some of those rumors to rest or affirm them lol
Thanks for sharing. I hope this encourages someone to practice harder, ensure their equipment is in shooting shape every year, and wait out a slightly better shot instead of taking a marginal shot. Can’t be perfect all the time, but it’s not impossible to be spot on and deadly 95% of shots you take.
Dropped off a couple black walnut logs at the local Amish saw mill last week. While walking around trying to find the owner of the mill I came across a couple Amish teens in the barn shoeing a horse. Funny part is they weren’t actually shoeing a horse they were wacthing RUclips on their phone and looked mortified when I came around the corner. Hello Amish I know some of you out there will see this! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
You are right, maney deer in OUR careers of hunting were great hits, but when we find them, it's like "No Way" I don't remember that happening. We. as humans. make mistakes, takes fast shots, bad shots, and just plane oh crap happens. MOST hunters get excited seeing big deer and get buck fever. NOW, with this growing technology, we are able to see our mistakes in real time and in color. How many deer have we not found that we swore we made good hits on. I try to search for deer for hours if I have to, but there's a point where you have to stop. With this technology, Mike, you are right, it has always been here, and we are just now able to see the true occurrence of hunting. These videos do hurt to watch it some point, but the success rate of finding dead deer are much greater now. Thank you for every video you produce, it helps me grow as a hunter and make better decisions.
I just bought your complete drone kit and look forward to this year's hunting season. I sent you a text message and have a lot of questions, and I know you are busy. I would just like to pick your brain for a bit. I look forward to meeting you and the " Drone Recovery Crew" soon.

No one cares about your life story.
How far did that deer travel from where the guy shot him? Just curious.
Hey Mike where can I get all the study guides that I would need to take my part 107?
Don't believe that deer could get up but man they can take a lot.
3rd like, that was close to town!! Very familiar town to me!
Its sad, they are living beings to.
What is the average cost of a recovery ?
I’d anticipate $600-1000 depending on how far they come. Equipment and time aren’t cheap.
Where do I find the rules for tn
There is almost nothing okay about any of this!!! I'm pissed!!!
Did it end up dieing
Yes most definietly no deer is surviving that
If this video doesn't want to make you be a better hunter and take your time and wait for the kill shot then you might rethink hunting. Guys that say "i got arrow in him" have no business hunting. Not saying thats what happened here, bad shots happen. But, the guys that launch arrows have no business calling themselves hunters
Not first!
YOU DO NOT DO THIS AS A JOB . THANKS TO YOU A FEW WILL EAT

Now you're down to deleting uncomfortable youtube comments? Not nice @dronedeerrecovery, not nice.
If it’s so hard to watch then why the hell are you airing this? Oh because it’ll get a lot of views. That’s right. Don’t confuse morals and clout chasing, this is pathetic.
It actually shows both sides. The good the bad and the ugly!
