Hi there, I recently lost one of my i-keys to my 2013 Altima. It has push button start. I already have a obd2 bluetooth adapter fitted to the port. Is there any way I could use that and a smartphone etc. to program a new key if I bought one from ebay etc? Thanks very much!
Not that I am aware of. Only OBD-II on board diagnostic system can program key. You also need a 4 security digit pin code.

+Mel melissa (mel) Hi Mel, you need to bring the car and any working key to your local locksmith to reprogram all your key. This year and model doesn't have on board programming. Only OBD-II on board diagnostic system can program key. You also need a4 digit pin.
hello, I have a 2016 Nissan Tida in my shop, the car had an accident and blew off the airbags, anyway I reinstalled the engine and a new dash board and all the wiring is correctly installed,but the car wont start,and the dashboard does not want to initiate even, but the locks are working interior lights but nothing else. does this have to do with reprogramming the proximity key? thank you

+Ahmed El Hadidi hi, I haven't work on that model... but if your dash is not working than you won't be able to see the prox key security light. That light will tell you if the car ecu recognizes the key or not. If the light goes off that means that the car recognizes the key and you may have other issues, and if the stays on then you might need to program the key again or you antenna is broken. You might need dealer tools for further diagnostics. BTW Thanks for watching.
