Gary Sinise Foundation 75th Home Dedication for wounded U.S. Army (Ret.) SSG Jason Tabansky

On Veteran’s Day, we had the great honor of handing the iPad to a smart technology home for our 75th wounded veteran, U.S. Army (Ret.) Staff Sergeant Jason Tabansky!
As part of our R.I.S.E. Program, this life-changing custom-designed, mortgage-free home will Restore Jason’s Independence and Support his Empowerment. We couldn’t be more honored to welcome Jason and his wife Courtney home for their service and sacrifices. This home represents the love of our donors and supporters, grateful Americans, like our very own Gary Sinise, who do not forget the cost of freedom. We hope you enjoy!

When I deployed, I found out that I had missed meeting Gary Sinise in Kuwait by a few days, and it will always be one of the great missed opportunities of my life. I am always in awe of how he has devoted his life to helping others in their hour of need. He is an inspiring figure at a time when many of us need a reminder of what true citizenship looks like. A wonderful friend to vets everywhere.

Good lord... well my eyes were dry a few minutes ago.
To everyone that assisted in this wonderful endeavor, thank you from all the veterans out there. I am constantly humbled to see the incredible support towards those that served. SSG Tanbansky and Mrs. Tabansky, when people say the phrase "the ultimate sacrifice", they usually mean that someone died for this country. I also see families like yours that must live completely changed for the rest of your lives due to an injury. I respect your ongoing sacrifices throughout all these years due to your willingness to serve the greatest nation on Earth. God bless you both, from another SSG!
