I have a 2009 Chevy Impala 3.5 the engine runs perfect the damn check engine light constantly comes back on then when I use my scanner tool to delete the code it starts up and it has a rough idle and it stalls out on me p0445 is the main code but 11 other codes come up everything I did to it purge valve mass air flow air cleaner put a new wiring harness on the mass air flow sensor put a new foot throttle gas pedal gas cap like I said it runs great but that damn check engine light comes on after a day or two I don't know what else to do
To bad the P0449 is the vent valve not the purge valve. The one that actually needs changed is in the rear under the fuel fill neck. Iam actually a mechanic, this dude clearly isn't. So don't do what this guy's doing and change the wrong part. Also check for power going to it first. It's a constant hot with ignition on. The ground, which comes from the ECM is what actually opens and closes it.
