Sijia Li That's not actually true - it was the Hacienda which bankrupt Factory. The Mondays recording Yes Please just finished it off, but they didn't even want to do the album then , as the producers they wanted weren't available. The Hacienda was became a central part of the Manchester scene but it was also a money pit. Also Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches was a big hit album for Factory in 1990.
@@crazycatman5928 It's 'piques' your interest, not 'peeks'. Try Kinky Afro, WFL (Oakenfold mix), Stayin Alive, Hallelujah, Donovan, Judge Fudge, they did loads of good tracks
Wow Peter hooky said “the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.” When working with record labels. Man has integrity and that’s admirable. Fast fwd to 2022 integrity is Rare.
Fellow Manc watching this! Love New Order (first Warsaw then Joy Division up until Ian Curtis’s tragic suicide in May 1980), Factory Records and the Madchester era! ❤️❤️
my bad, looks like youtube removed their message feature, i'll post it to one of my twitter accounts twitter.com/roundandremix (I'm not sure how litigious youtube is with dropbox links so I'd rather not risk it!)
kinda ironic that at 3:26 Wilson says he hopes Happy Mondays should take some of the pressure off. ...3 years later they bankrupt the whole label lol
I couldn’t get into happy Monday’s. I can’t find a single song of theirs that peeks my interest.

Saw this in 1990 and couldn't believe how up his arse Tony was, 'One of the biggest bands in the world...?'
