In D&D Beholders are a pretty tough opponent, and there are quite a few variants. I got introduced to D&D after I played a lot of heroes, so imagine my surprise, when our party rushed a single Beholder and got obliterated. Anyway, since then I just can't see Beholders as Tier 3 creatures. I think of them as baby Beholders or something.. Anyway a pretty cool unit.
@@HeroesKitchen Personally I think the beolders should be more like an actual beholder. Their Damage and defences a bit down, but as the Sorcerer their beams should have an effect. Like 1/8 chances of dealing special effect. Like: 1. Paralyze (can't move), 2. Hypnosis (1 turn), 3. Slow, 4. Sorrow, 5. Blind (1 turn), 6. 50% more damage. 7. Disrupting ray. 8. Dispel So that their main benefit was a RNG effect that could turn the battle, not their sturdiness or damage. Sure in a game mechanic that change would probably be horrible, but it would be more thematic appropriate imo. EDIT: Also there need to be a small chance to save against those spells and resist the effect.
Guys with these comments you are making me rewatch my own videos 🤣🤣🤣 I already watch them like 3 times - recording, editing, testing.... hahah anyway a cool trick for sure. Thank you for commenting and supporting the channel.
I thought so too, but if you see at the end of round two, Beholders start getting an advantage - there are more Beholders left, end of round 3 the advantage increases. So without testing, I would guess that Beholders will win an all out shoot out. I can make a small test to confirm with Ammo cart, but I think they will just dominate. What do you think?
@@HeroesKitchen You're right. Beholders got few more left right before Pirates started running even. But it wouldve been hella close. Ammo cart would only makes sense to those factions that get one in their native town. Otherwise it eliminates intended weaknesses and wouldnt be exactly fair in my opinion.
Thank you for watching and supporting the channel. If you are asking about tier 6 unit tournament - it is planned for the future. I have created a schedule and I am trying to get a little bit ahead with videos coming out every two days, and soon daily (which actually takes a lot of time). There were increasing mistakes with luck or misfortune, that users noticed, so I had to double check my work, also included some user suggested videos. Also, more importantly, I am trying to start working on more interesting videos with voiceovers and Livestreaming soon, to develop a bit better content. Stay tuned and if you want to participate in a future Heroes 3 test, let me know. I am very open to community collaborations :)
Coming up in the upgraded version. Although I am not sure if I shouldn't put them with tier 4 units. The upgrade is ridiculous. What do you think - are they going to dominate?
When I saw battle with elves I understood that eyes will do - and they did🎉
