This aged surprisingly well.
This is technically inaccurate as the rulings state that spell cards have to be activated by the player who controls them while they are Set or from the hand. There is one card, Bait Doll, which you would think is an exception to this rule, but only activates set Trap cards and not Spells. The only way for an opponent to activate a player's Spell Card is through hand manipulation effects, by first having the card added to their hand.

The untranslatable Japanese proverb in the subtitles is called "neko ni koban", which means "a gold coin to a cat". It's basically a simile of how giving something to a person who doesn't understand it is pointless, as a cat who gets a gold coin would do nothing with it.
I was hoping someone would notice! My thought was that Apple Girlington would think the player would be unappreciative of her apples like “gold coins to a cat”. Glad you enjoyed the subs!

As someone who can't play music for shit and has no real understanding of music, it is mindblowing to me that someone could improvise and play a song like this while also talking and cracking jokes.

@@MetaKiteZX Nah, the ending part, well obviously, but with basic music theory knowledge and a theme/motif in mind it's not exactly the hardest to improvise while also talking. Obviously, takes a lot of practice to get to that level, but it's very doable to get there.

@@brianchen1302 no doubt, but I can hear the cuts in the vocal tracks and clicks to start and stop recording.
Because Toby has a superpower, it's called being self-taught.
When you play only by ear, and also happen to have a savant level natural talent for forming the most hooking melodies and translating them directly to your fingers, then you become Toby Fox.
On second thought, maybe his superpower isn't necessarily being self taught, but it definitely helps make cool interesting music instead of another traditional classical composer.

Okay, since you FREAKS think that all my music sounds like Touhou, I have no choice but to play improvised Touhou music that doesn't actually exist. This is obviously the title screen, it's called *Girls Pretty Dress Dress ~ Do Your Best Now.* And uh, basically it just has that Asian scale that's in every single title screen, um, I made it up in 5 seconds. That's really all I have to say about this one.

This first level song is called *Magical Hop-Along Cassidy Station.* This part of the song is just to remind you that it takes place in Japan in case you forgot.
This is where we have the sudden transition into the miniboss battle part of the song. "You activated my spell card, Yugi!!!"
Okay I'm flying towards the end of the level now. Picking up some more uh, powerups. I have not reached max power yet because its the first level. Now it's coming in this sort of break-in music while you're talking to the boss.

Proof 4 is just 6 notes in a progression that sounds similar. But the entire songs are different. Two people can have similar musical progressions, but it doesn't mean someone stole from someone else.

Why is the game listed as Undertale in the description? I understand that this is Toby Fox we're talking about, but literally this entire video was about Touhou.
Because...you know, Touhou isn't that big of a deal in terms of popularity, and fan creations are less notorious than canon ones, so it made sense to put a little hook to get more people to watch. And it worked, this is the most watched video of Apple Girlington, even if it only features stolen content.

That's not to say Undertale still doesn't hold great influence. but it would serve you well to accept that Touhou is rising. In terms of the fan content, I would argue that Touhou's fanon is stronger than its canon. Our fan creations have spurred entire msuic groups, such as Alstromeria, Akatsuki, and Sound-Holic, as well as English speaking groups, such as Odyssey. Our fan art galleries are expansive and, quite honestly, freaking impressive! And with programs such as Danmakufu, more and more creators have made their own original games and spin-offs, even set in Undertale, linking the little unity these games actually have. There are global contests seeking out game creators in this very program and praising them for the time they spend in there hobby! So yes, I agree that before, Touhou wasn't a big deal in terms of popularity. But now, it has a stronger grasp on its western audience than ever before
It should also be noted that I am not here to bash Undertale. I absolutely despise the fan wars happening between the communities, and I respect both games for the pieces of art they are. I love that Toby Fox is a Touhou fan, him and Temmie both! And lastly, I would appreciate not being called a "chicken" just because you wanted to incur whatever arguments I had to present
