Excellent videos, Steve. I am laid up recovering from some outpatient surgery and spent most of the day going over your videos on RUclips. BTW, I have the EFHW-8010 and my 7300 with that antenna is a great combination.
Steve, thank you for the video on the IC 7300. I've watched your other presentations, as I am considering buying one. I was also thinking about a used IC 7600 but after your review of the 7300 and other RUclips comparisons between the two I think the 7300 may be my choice. Thanks again 73 de Roger, W8RLP
My IC-7300 does not tune to the edge, either upper or lower edge, but rather the center of the signal on the waterfall. Is there some way to set it correctly? BTW my Kenwood TS-890 has the correct edge for tuning, but is slightly outside of the signal display.(on the display there is a vertical "box" where the signal is displayed.
Gosh, what settings do you have on everything else? My 7300 has so much background hiss and noise that I can hardly hear people. I just bought it, but I believe I may have settings completely out of whack.
@@n4lq I live in the country as well. We are so rural no wifi exists here. I am new to Hf, probably have something set incorrectly. My Yaesu Ft 891 is so much quieter than the Icom 7300. I just got the Icom yesterday. I'm trying to find videos for settings to help make the Icom more pleasant to listen to.

Very good except my options on the screen are different. I suspect I have an updated version from u. Mine is the most recent. Anyway, I think I can muddle my way through it. So, update your ver. and redo the video, HIHI.
Steve, every time I see one of your videos, I learn something new about my Icom 7300. Thanks for all the helpful hints for this great radio.
Man that sounds good. Very clean and virtually no background noise. Thanks, AJ1AN

Haha I like how he started on 7.200 for dramatic effect. Everyone knows that frequency is a toilet. But it was funny how he reacted.
Thank you.. I'm considering getting one of these gems.
How's the visibility of the display in sunlight?

Select the cent/fix soft key to switch between the two.
Excellent presentation. Curious what antenna do you use?
Myantennas EFHW-8010-2K

My radio is never that clear. Always static and noise. How did you get your audio so clean?
I moved to the country!

What type of stylus works on that screen? Which one are you using?
The screen is pressure sensitive so any stylus will work.

No there is no difference in versions. You probably have the Cent/Fix set on Cent. That gives different options
What are your color settings for the waterfall?
