Excellent demonstration! Answered all my questions. The band edge programming would be great for those in the USA with various classes of licenses gaining portions of band privileges. But also the demo of enforcing band edges even with a mars mod is great too. Looks like a great little radio...
Great help. Thank you. I was wondering why my 10 metres did not show fully on the scope edges. Checking out the fixed edges in the scope I could see the reason.
Better than removing diode. Of course you can flick the diode off also. Also software. Most rigs have this somewhere somehow. Have 5 radios and all but the one I use goes anywhere on any mode. There is a point on radios where you should stop.There all different. Taking a radio and butchering it like a cobra 148 is going way to far.

Icom will tx on a portion of the sw broadcast band. About half way thru it will loose all power but still say its tx. More experience with the 7300.
