i flew clt to slc and they showed the life vest portion is this just nwa cause the oly water we flew near was lake michigan and we could glide to land if anything
I remember seeing a USA today story when Delta started using this type of animation. Delta thought it might make passengers pay more attention, instead of "real actors". Does anyone know the name of the process they used for creating the animation?
If you fly over land, the airline is not required to show you directions for using a life vest because at not time during the flight will you fly over water.
me too. it brought the standards of the multi-aisle plane up so far and was so comfortable and rock solid.
Man I miss Delta L-1011... I can vividly remember flying First on the HUGE L-1011 and seeing this video... that was another era of aviation.
It's called Rotoscoping.
A-Ha's "Take on Me" music video utilizes this style entirely.
Great! Thanks for posting this.
I remember seeing this in 1998 when my parents and I flew to Las Vegas for the first time.

L1011's were the best...they need to keep on flying
I really miss the L-1011
Its a shame there are not too many L-1011s anymore.
From the camera shooting it is from 1983
The EXIT row looks like it has generous leg room...I'll volunteer
Delta is the best american airline.
I miss the L-1011 also that aircraft flew me to San Diego

lol i rememember this when i flew on the L1011 round trip from ATL-MCO
That possibly means that they didnt think the devices would tamper with the navigation system.
Has anybody has the safety they've used in the early 2000's? Before the one they're currently using? THx...
That video reminds me of another video by Zero 7's "Destiny"

They didnt mention the electronic devices!
ahhh Memories.
holy crap, what they do to the infants during a water landing looks kinda dangerous
Yea....I think they should've had Deltalina and the finger wag in this one, too.
is that lipsynching? looks like it...
If you think this is a lot, watch there new safety video.
It needs Kat Lee , A. K. A. "Deltalina," and the finger wag!
its funni how this lady's mouth usn't in sync with her words, sort of like those chinese movies eh???
all that safety did not apply on delta flight 191
Is it just me, or do the semi-animated people seem more distracting?
It's missing 2 things. Deltalina and finger wag!
the lady's voice is funny
Wow. This is a snooze fest! The new safety video is MUCH better!
After Continental.
lol the lipping is off
continental is crap
litrally in one flight the toilet overflowed and sewage flowed through out the cabin
Old but BORING
Great! Thanks for posting this.
