I was a TWA FA for almost 26 years... As soon as that jingle started playing all the memories came flooding back. Tears started welling up in my eyes. I miss working these amazing aircraft, especially the L-1011. There will be no other airline like us. We were the BEST.

You really were! I took my first transatlantic flight on a TWA L1011 as a teenager and remained loyal until the end. I really miss those days and have many great memories on board and at the New York terminal.

There was no sound like the Lockheed L1011 taking off. The engines keying up had a distinct sound.

Thanks for commenting. I was able to locate a first generation copy of the tape, then I washed it through some AI software to clean it up as much as possible.
We love the results too!

I miss you TWA my first flight on your airline was in 1987 on an L1011 .On subsequent trips from Miami to Los Angeles. I had flown on yourL1011‘s.
