I flew a lot in the 90s as kid the L1011 is the one that I remember being the most comfortable, smooth, spacious , yeah I was the kid walking back-and-forth through the aisles lol.
China ? Silver ? Crystal ? Actual Food ? Whole Turkey’s ? 8 Lb Rib Roast ? These days in 2023, even if in first class you’re lucky to get any food on a flight, especially a 90 minute one.
14:32 Wouldn’t be the 70s without a salad of hearts of lettuce with green goddess dressing … wonder if they got pineapple carrot jello mold infused with slivered almonds for dessert
@jack torrence ...and tristar's L-1011 resulted in a total of 539 fatalities by 2011. ....do you have a point? How does any of this apply to a subjective opinion?
@jack torrence *_yawn_* wow...youre as pedantic and boring as you are petulant. Anything else to add? You seem like you _need_ the last word so, have at it Hoss:
Please explain in great depth and detail, why you feel this way. I need to know what you don't about the differences between the two designs, which pivoted your decision on this.😳🤔
This is just another example of what a class act the L-1011 was. Even this "food test" shows off what fantastic facilities she had! Fab.

The beverage fountain on the first class beverage cart was awesome. I've never seen that on any airline in actual operation.
This is absolutely fascinating!!
The hot tea and coffee pots just sat on top of the cart, just waiting to fall off during sudden turbulence. 😮
the best jet I've ever flown
You've never been on a 787 or A380?
It sure sounded like Art Ballinger as the voice actor.
Voei nele....Luanda - Ascenção- Londres....em 92...refugiado.
Best plane ever.

I’m sure Ryanair carried out similar tests with frozen Lasagne for those that want it at 7am in the morning for €15…
That sure is a lot of labor and investment due to the fact that people can’t seem to go 90 min without a frozen dinner.
Well, at least the passenger’s ears didn’t get clogged and had to clear themselves.
Long before ATLAS and KSSU galley standards.
Man this has foood poisoning written all over it. Worked in aviation from 1988 to 2017. The change has been enormous
The real flight is Weird...this so a actuators for selling not a real life, turbulences, and a 1 hour flight quick service.
Never again.....
Can't fool me, Lockheed.....thats still just a DC-10 and I dont fly in DC-10s or DC-10 clones.
You nor anyone else, DC-10's haven't flown passengers since 2014.
@@tuffguy428 That's true.
The new 737 Max fuselages get trained past my place....those are looked sweet but then....you know....Lion Air JT610.
@jack torrence 32 accidents with 11 hull losses....not too bad.
Doesnt change my opinion on them though. Thanks.

The almost 1000 people that went down with the Death Cruiser 10 do not agree
