Bronze has the most character, warmth, and color support of any finish. Longines Legend green/bronze is a perfect example, its so much more romantic and timeless than the stainless versions. Not to mention, every now and then you can shine the patina off and start the finish anew for fun.
Another great review, Lucy. I do like bronze watches, but I don't think I would like the full bronze bracelet. I'm also obsessed with keeping my watches clean and shiny, so I don't know how I would get on with it. It's probably the leather strap version for me.
Thank you! Haha then the all bronze definitely wouldn't be for you! But the strap option is a great contender. Bronze and green just go together so well!
Great design . I love bronze watches , especially the gray dial Tudor diver . Just very cool . I do wonder how the oxidization may effect the crystal/case integrity over time but even if this would prove an issue the shear cool factor is woth it .
The Tudor is a lovely watch. Works really well in bronze! I guess that would be something to research but as long as you keep up with your services it should be fine!
The green dial looks pretty sweet with the bronze. I don't know if it would still look good after getting some heavy patina. Makes me think Christopher Ward should release a gold watch.
The bronze looks great, but I'm not sure I'm up for the patina thing. I do like that they have it COSC certified, but wish they also had that option on the steel models. Thanks for taking a look at this watch. The lume is definitely impressive, which I love.
I like bronze watches, every collection should have one, I think. Not a fan of CW--I think their designs are a bit milquetoast--but I'm glad to see they stopped using full name on the dial and use only the logo.
I had to Google what milquetoast meant 😂 Having different opinions and preferences is what makes the hobby so interesting! Haha I couldn't agree more about the branding!
Did you want to write something about the patina that has formed on the case and bracelet over these three months? Or maybe make a shorts about this? ))
Not really a bronze guy but that Turquoise dialled Oris always looked cool to me, CW are great quality at the price but like you say its a bit "shiny coin" innit?
Could you make a video with a thicker patina? I would like to see how that looks over the long term. I've never had a bronze watch. I heard it stains the wrist, is that true? Thank you! Ps. great review!
Interesting, but I wonder how much of that patina (especially in hot, sweaty weather) would turn the wearer's skin green. I'd love to hear what other people who own a bronze watch have to say. Thanks for another great video, Lucy. 👍😎
Have myself a Bronze watch for more than 2 years wear it algarve hot ☀️ summertime and it’s never had any green spots on my skin, there’s few different Bronze alloy’s mine has more aluminium goes more grey than green like the Zelo’s versions those have more copper alloy than mine ask Lucy what she thinks about the Zelo’s patina ? I remove mine when it gets to grey with a product to clean brass, copper etc very easy than lemon etc 😉💯👌
Can anyone tell me what their experience with customer service / aftercare has been? My girlfriend was about to buy me a CW for my birthday but the reviews I’ve seen online & on trustpilot have put me off (although I’ve noticed there aren’t any recent reviews/complaints)
Tragedy. Service doesn't work. It's about promoting sales and product, not service, and that's what CW employees do. If you want to cancel your order, you must do so on the website and submit the form. You can't do anything by email or phone. People write about it on forums and in comments.
NO. Comparing Christophewards to Tudor is an exaggeration. Total disparity. It's like comparing a Mercedes to a Fiat. Tudor is still trying to do something, despite hopeless designs made only for machining machines. ChrystopherWards is a watch designed and externally mounted only to order, therefore the price is astronomical and includes hidden double taxation. Hamilton from the SWATCH GROUP outclasses the C65 Bronze in everything. Price. quality and movement. And above all, original design.
I think the warm colour of bronze looks great with the green dial, the steel and the green dial looks a bit cold by comparison.
I do actually see what you mean. Especially after you've seen the green with the bronze! Those shades just work so well together!
Only a handful of vids on this piece. Just received mine and can't ask for better tbh. It's genuinely fabulous
Congratulations! I'm a big fan of CW and I think bronze is such a cool material to use. Love the aging of it! Hope you continue to love it!

Stumbled across this piece on CWs website, always loved a full bronze watch and this is a nice alternative to the Oris pointer date
I like Bronze…Christopher Ward makes a great watch..solid video as always
In that case, this is a good watch for you!! Haha
Thank you!
For me this is the only CW Dune where the beige lume actually really complements the watch. It looks cracking.
Not a fan eh? But you're right, it's very complimentary!
Thx for your short review. I am still thinking about a buy.
If you can get your hands on one to try I think you'll like it!

COSC with steel case will be a perfect option for a lot of people like us. I'm certainly not going with the bronze one.
I am, stainless steel isn't the better option for me.
Love it! Either this or the Oris cotton candy for me.

I'll have to find one in a few months! 😂
Do you think? That could be their priciest release!
Great review !
Thank you so much!
Doxa my favorite and farer also good ok trident pro 300 very good , sodiac super sea wolf pineapple very beautiful .

Wish they have a showroom in London...
I totally agree! It would be good for them to have at least 1 retail supplier!
Hi,
Were you able to find out what the exact alloy composition is on the Dune?

😍 beautiful bronze 💯👌 summertime is coming gal you need some cool bronze tan as well 😘
Great video, that watch looks stunning, might have to have one
Thank you!
Definitely try and get your hands on one if you're a fan of all of the bronze!
@@TheWatchBoxDiaries I think bronze watches look even better when they patina
Did you want to write something about the patina that has formed on the case and bracelet over these three months? Or maybe make a shorts about this? ))
Im here to admire the redhead and the watch that ill be getting. In that order.
😂 Well I'll take that! I hope you love the watch!
Marmite makes me gag 🤮the C.W. Love it. Nice job you.
😂😂😂 see. Love or hate!
It's a pretty little thing isn't it! Thank you!

Ahhh the candy floss bronze piece! They are pretty cool and quirky tbf. But it is a lot of shine to go dull 😂
@@TheWatchBoxDiaries my mates got one and it looks ok scruffy
Bronze looks great! Good reciew, however I would have liked more watched shots

Everyone is suddenly talking about bronze watches.
Haha are they? This is CWs first all bronze watch so it was worth talking about!
May I know what's the size of your wrist?

Whats your wrist size?
Hi! Its just under 6.25inches

Haha I think that's a compliment? 😂
@@TheWatchBoxDiaries 😏😏🐆

I love marmite and bronze, but all bronze is like all marmite and no toast
I love this! 😂😂😂
"So that's an automatic tick for me." Clever girl.
😂😬😬
Lol you're hilarious
😂 Oh god! What did I say?!
why even wear a shirt oh yeh the watch is nice to
