This takes all the issues in Seiko alpinist autos and Hamilton field khaki autos and corrects and improves on them, also increasing in quality and value, all while staying in the same price bracket. So well executed. Kudos to Christopher Ward. They set a good example.
Great: That is a watch that shows 'it can be' bothered from the box to the whole package. Field/dress watch cross, the kicker was the hour hand for me, on the first shots. Would've made a great issue to the 8th Army?....Nice 'D': +
Double-take on the Groove Armada reference at the end. Great review. I have a C65 Bronze Aquitaine, the strap plus the eventual patina makes it very subdued, not blingy at all (if you're concerned with that)
cheers dude - those musical ghosts in my brain just never go away LOL - good to hear the bronzes hold up well and yes I can just imagine how unique the patina will make them, welcome to the channel bud :)
Watched your review on this one a few times, I can see why your channel is really taking off, the description and the plays on words really drew me in, excellent
I'm torn between this and the auquitane cause I prefer 41mm on my 7.25 inch wrist but as this is mostly dial with a very small bezel, I wonder if it will look larger than the 38mm
@thetimebombardier unfortunately I live in the states but I will try to find a similar light colored 38mm watch with no bezel to see how it looks on my wrist
Nice job! I'm new here and appreciate your work.. I have a CW Trident 300 diver.. Love it.. thinking about a Blue Dune on bracelet.. Best to you! Frank in Colorado
I have recent Alpinist in cream and I find it more attractive than this one, though its a good looking watch too, especially the case.Nice touch is applied logo, but I think they could think about changing the trident hand for something else in non-diver lineup.
cheers Galhadad, that's sort of annoying and almost seems like they've cut a corner there, they've just realeased a GMT version of this one, I might ask them for one for a review!!

Cbeers Johnny, i also thought about the alpinist when looking at this, good call 👍😎 i think the khakis are toolier as this dune is very classy 😜😜
For sure, I was thinking about the the Murph 38mm mainly; not the regular khakis.
@@JohnnyTaxonomy ah yeah, nice that murph 😋👍 welcome to the channel by the way 😎
Great observation
Excellent review style! No BS just good watch content! Cheers
@@harryoleary2861 cheers Harry thanks bud and welcome to the channel 😎👍
Beautiful watch! CW does a great job with the C65s. I personally like the C65 Aquitaine in Bronze - the blue and bronze is awesome!
Totally agree :)
Totally agree, lose the hack crystal and make it a hand wound ,with that lovely tactile crown, screaming out to be used on a regular basis .
I bought one last mouth, love it.
Hey Gary thanks dude, did you get this sand version?

hhaaha yes the desert rats would have looked right natty with these on!!

Watched your review on this one a few times, I can see why your channel is really taking off, the description and the plays on words really drew me in, excellent

cheers bud, can you book into the store in Slough to try them on?

@@bingefreak1 roger dodger, yes that annoys me also that you have to take the plunge on these and then pay the import tax also...!!

G'dday Frank thanks and welcome to the channel sir 👍😎 the blue dial looks very cool on the marketing images so hope it stands up in the flesh 🙏😅
Great review! Do you think it would look too small on my 7.25 inch wrist? I really love the watch
Hey Mat thanks and no I think the size and fit would work well, my wrist is also 7 and quarter inch and it looked great 😎👍

hey Piotr, thanks bud and really like your suggestion of the differentiation of collections with the counter balance, would make a lot of sense!!
Hey there. Thanks for the review. Would u say the watch wears bigger than the 38mm or smaller?
hey Matt thanks bud and I thought it would be smaller but the size works well, my nephew's wrist is 7 inch for reference 😎
This the way the crown looks on the dune, I actually contact CW and they confirmed it. It’s the one thing I did not like about it
cheers Galhadad, that's sort of annoying and almost seems like they've cut a corner there, they've just realeased a GMT version of this one, I might ask them for one for a review!!
Great review... Thx..
Cheers CT, do you own any of their watches?
No, although they make great watches, there's always something I fancy a little more. Although the new GMT Dune may change that...
Good luck to your nephew 😊
He's gonna be a star, no doubt about it 😅😎💪
Looks like a Hamilton and just a perfect watch for a new horologist
thanks again Jack!!
Agree! No field watch vibe at all
cheers bud :D
Looks like a Hamilton field watch. Perfect watch for someone just starting their watch journey.
cheers Jack, yup made me think of the hamis also!!
