I feel better hearing about Natalie Portman being a mix. I feel like I can't properly fit winter or autumn, I am right in the middle.
Same ❤
Same, I'm frustrated
I’m Dark Winter with olive skin tones. I love it...I get to sneak in some deeper, brighter autumn colors .
Well to be fair other analysis of Dark Winters, especially the olive skin toned ones, say that Dark Winters can share colors with Dark Autumns, as long as you stay away from the shades with yellow undertones. What separates the winter toned from the autumn ones are the yellow tones/earthy tones that suit autumns better.
Natalie Portman looks warm and autumn
I thought I was deep autumn cuz my skin is kinda yellowish and the veins are super green all over the body. But when I tried warm tone lipstick, I look super sick. I watched thousands of videos to figure out my skin undertone. Plus the dark red color ur wearing always looks good on me. I think I could be Olive. Can you do a video on that one?
Will try ;)
Alisa, I also thought I was deep autumn because of my skin and veins. But the color palette for deep winter suits me much better and even brightens my appearance.
Then it’s about chroma more so than temperature for you. Red is warm but all reds aren’t the same. I’m very muted and I have low chroma, so whether I wear blue or red, I am only flattered by muted shades
You have pale olive skin tone honey ...same as mine... I have high contrast...i was stuck between deep autumn and dark winter too..and tbh, i look good in both colour palettes but i kinda gravitate towards dark winter one (though i look slightly better in copper or gold more than silver) as too warm colours fade me and yellow makes me look like a corpse. But i can't choose all the dark winter colours too because my yellow overtone is dominant over my neutral tone of olive...so, have to prioritise off white and warm black over white and true black.
Olive skin is always cool. Your skin color is yellow, your undertone blue - this is how you end up with this green-gray looking general skin tone. You are probably a dark winter like me. Also, primary feature of dark winter is darkness, then comes the coolness. Even neutral skin with super dark features is considered dark winter.
I love the jewelry idea you said about wearing the correct necklace color to offset an incorrect shirt color. I can still wear dresses that aren’t exactly in my most flattering color pallet and wear jewelry to brighten my face❤️
I'm glad that was useful ;)
I think I'm a deep winter, but I have a pretty neutral undertone, just slightly cool. And a little less contrast than a dark winter maybe? What do you think?
Hello ;)
Soft pastel and, in general, light colors will suit you much better than harsh and deeply saturated (like winter tones). For winter you need to have a more contrasting appearance. I'd rather recommend to pay attention to Summer Palettes, as light and creamy tonalities (like cream-white, sky blue, pastel khaki, etc.) will add shine to your eyes and not over-cover your assets with it's brightness. It's better that you stayed away with deep bright red/black (high concentrated colors) near your face as it will always be overshadowing your natural beauty and emphasize any redness that you have on skin. If you still want to use it, you will have to go an extra mile adding sharp makeup like eyeliner, etc in order to balance the look.

Thank you
It's pretty normal. Deep winter is the less saturated winter subtype, and only true/cool winter is completely cool undertoned, meanwhile the other subtypes are neutral-cool undertoned
@@DonNadie756 Yes! I think after doing more research my color type is probably Bright Winter since I am more neutral and highly saturated. Thanks for your comment!
I think i'm a deep winter ,because i have a black hair ,medium-tan skin and dark brown eyes but i dont know how to match a color in my skin tone because it is unfair because of a sunburn
@@kelly_kelz You tried with deep autumn colors?
Oh! Winter colors around my face and the warmer colors are ok if they’re lower! Thank you bc I have so many warm things bc I thought I was an autumn
Thank you for sharing :)
I'm a deep winter with a yellow undertone.
super helpful thanks! & i think those colours, ur makeup and outfit, look amazing on u!
Thank you so much!!
Awesome video! Thanks for making. I think I’m a dark winter!
Thank you :)
Fantastic video, thank you! I learned so much... it turns out I instinctively reached for the right colors, but some details here are very eye opening.
I'm so happy it was helpful ;)
Me too. I finally understood why I look bad in pastels

well done, beautiful and informative video
Glad you liked it!
Mil gracias, me has ayudado a entender (por fin!) la relación y matices entre otoño e invierno oscuro. Un saludo grande desde España
Gracias por su opinión :)
My palms are cool pink but my skin is yellowish. I mean brown looks pretty good on me but compared to dark blue... the blue wins. I also tried brown bronze nail paint and deep magenta and the dark magenta looks better. I mean as long as I can pull off hot pink, which I do, I don't have a problem. I just wish I could wear more brighter colours. As an artist who loves colours, it's sad.
love the video thank you!
So glad!🙂
I'm having a hard time with my color. I'm thinking I'm a deep winter but also thinking if i'm dark autumn or bright spring. Sandy colored clothes tends to tone me down... but good saturated colors or pure white and black looked best.
you might be a transitional type from autumn to winter ( which is from dark autumn - to winter) If you have a yellowish skin undertone you are most likely autumn. During colder times you might lean towards winter type more depending how your skin color changes.
Hi, i checked on your website and youtube and i could not find any videos or content about black skin in all different hues and how to know what color palette we are. Can you make a video please with different actresses singer etc Lupita N'yongo, kerry washington, Tyla. This would help 😊
I haven an olive skin type, so I'm doing a research for what fits me better
Same here! My characteristics match more with a dark winter though but I do get tanned during the summer which is why I always thought I was a dark autumn. I seen another video and they speak about olive skin tones which helped me a lot because these kinds of videos don’t really talk about olive skin tones.
I think I'm Dark Winter but not 100% sure. I do have a very high contrast like a Dark Winter and my skintone is perfectly neutral (both gold and silver jewelry suit me the same). However, my eyes and hair, though dark, are warm browns, not cool, though in winder when I don't get much sun my hair loses all natural highlights and turns dark and looks cool, Plus, the Dark Autum pallete honestly looks bad on me save a few colors, meanwhile the Dark Winter pallete are all colors I always get and look good on me.
Is it possible to be a Dark Winter but have pieces of Dark Autum?
That would make sense because they are neighboring seasons. I’m also in between something so it’s hard to figure out.
its exactly the same for me
Maybe bright spring?
Very good video!! Make a video for dark autumn
Thank you ;) In the making already.
Dark Winter here :-)
Thank you so much 😍
You're welcome 😊
I never can decide if I'm a cool winter or a true winter?? Dark brown hair, pale skin with pink undertones, blue eyes
👌👌👌thanks
Was wondering if I could get some help out. I think I am a Dark Winter. I really love nail polish and lipstick, and was wondering which nail polish shades (and the brand for specifity) is best for me? I'm interested in finding a pink shade that would suit me. Also was wondering which lipsticks you would recommend? Xxx
You know now dark winter colous.
There are videos what make up colours work for different seasons.
I think I am a deep winter but I have a dark skin tone my eyes have a high contrast but in neutral and don't lean near cool or warm what do you think
You need to figure out what your undertone shade is in regards to your skin first. Then see how the color of your eyes blend in with the whole composition of colors on your facial zone. Maybe you chose the hair color wrongly , so it gives the wrong color reflection onto your eye color. I can't say for sure because I cannot see you.
@@FilosoFashion my eyes do stand out from the rest of my face and after color draping I lean more to the cooler side

I think i'm a deep winter ,because i have a black hair ,medium-tan skin and dark brown eyes but i dont know how to match a color in my skin tone because it is unfair cuz i always expose in a sun
What's a good hair color for dark winter?
Medium brown, chestnut brown, chocolate brown, plummy shades, dark cherry, ombré brown or subtle highlights on a brunette base. Examples: Cathrine zeta jones, Lily Collins, Nigella Lawson, Monica Belluci, Madeleine Stowe, Rose Byrne
My skin is like Morfydd Clark, my hair is very light ashy brown and eyes are dark hazel. Am I a dark winter?
Try muted summer vs dark winter colours and see what's better.
@@Juststudiothings thank you
I have cool undertone, black hair, black eyes, but my skin not so fair because I'm asian, I'm wonder if I'm a dark winter or true winter. I watch both video and still don't know which one am I
If I dont look good in dark cheryish lipstick it means I am not dark winter ?
Not necessarily. Which color suits you the most?
@@FilosoFashion i look good in bit darker baige not too light not too dark
I have very neutral skin, very dark grey-ish blue eyes (people think they’re brown from a distance, until the light hits them - and they have golden flecks inside), and cool brown hair with natural golden highlights.
HELP!
I am curious, all asian except some tiny minority have brown to black hair and eyes, so are all of them either winter or autumn? I'm not speaking of people who color their hair of course. Please enlighten me 🙏🙏
good content. music distracting.
thank you
How can I know if I am bright or dark or true winter?
By which of the three traits defining Winter-- Brightness, Darkness, or Trueness (aka Coolness)-- is dominant for you. Looking at your face, what's the main overall impression? Bright (contrast), Dark, or Cool?
By checking the best colours - primarily bright, cold or dark.
Ιts so difficult to understand what i am . I have black hair to dark brown
A very light white face
And a cold tone green -brown eyes
Sounds like dark winter to me, but it also depends on other factors like skin undertone, y climate you live in and even your hair natural hair color. Try to figure out what was given to you by nature and "dance" from that information. Many times women tend to have the wrong hair color (chosen by their hair stylist) which confuses all the information from the seasonal typing.
Why the pear body shape commentary on every video? I know it’s not meant in a negative way but it isn’t making me feel great hearing this repeatedly. I think you go a great job, but could your be more considerate about body shapes?
