My god this was sooooo refreshing😂 it took us around 2 years to finally accumalate everything we needed (sofa, bed, shelves) because it's so ££! I love your space, it looks so cosy and cute. All of the second hand accessories are so cute!!
It's so refreshing seeing someone decorate and not just be buying new stuff. There's so many hidden treasures and things you can do that make them look high end. Maybe for the plastic drawers in your bedroom you can get some vinyl like sheets to wrap them, like giant stickers
congrats on your move! I've just moved in with my partner for the first time too - and GOD it's so reassuring seeing a realistic moving process! It's so expensive, so you just can't get everything you want to immediately, and you just feel like stuff is everywhere, and everyone else's home is nicer and that you are failing and not trying hard enough, and don't have enough time to sort it out and just GAH!!!! It's so stressful and definitely a journey 😵💫 Thank you for such an authentic video as always, you've made your house look so fab and homely! 🥰 it's been super reassuring to watch whilst going through the same process 💓

I'm renting an apartment for the first time on my own, and I had literally no budget to make it homey, just juggling furniture around that I already had or inherited from relatives. Now it's finally looking good, and I was so happy to host my friends here for Christmas. They made it feel like home. We're in this together, sending you love!
I can relate to your feelings on not getting to make the whole house feel yours right away. I think it’s totally understandable as our home environment affects our lives in a lot of ways. Me and my spouse rented an apartment for 3+ years together before buying our own home. I remember it annoying me so much at times that there wasn’t much I could do to make that flat feel like home to me because of the condition of it and lack of resources to put in furniture or decor at the time. I just focused on our goal of moving out of there and getting to decorate my future home however I want 😅 I hope that I can give you some words of encouragement. Be patient and focus on your goal of moving abroad in the future. Time flies and once you reach your goal, the decor of your current home will feel insignificant compared to your achievements. I hope you can make most of it in this current situation ❤
this felt like an og youtube video in the best way possible, it feels realistic and way more relatable than people who makeover spaces in all at once, collecting stuff over time makes a home and even if its temporary your style and warmth is reflected in your space :)
You’ve already given your home so much personality and life, considering your limits! The shorter curtains would look amazing with a sort of added lace at the bottom, if you still want that down to the floor look. Not the poor Bratz dolls looking like a crime scene 😂
I thought this too! I have some poster frames in my basket to make my Bratz posted look more dignified. Just unsure wether to invest as I’ll have to get rid of them next year :/ x
I’m nearly six years in to my current house. It still looks like a pigs ear. Priorities have to be other things. The world won’t end. Re the too short curtains. You can attach various things to the bottom with a running stitch without taking them down to fill the space to the floor which might help. Suggestions: millinery websites sell very wide velvet ribbons and fake flowers. A combination of the two could make a really interesting curtain bottom project. Look in charity shops and online for second hand sari fabric, the decorative trim would make an excellent border for a curtain. Look In haberdashery shops, either in person or online, they often sell very wide trim. Again, could be an interesting curtain bottom. It might look slightly unorthodox, but something tells me that is not something you would be bothered by. Very sensible of you two to keep an eye on the moving abroad goal and just make this place ok for now rather than wasting funds and emotional energy on it. My first house was a renovate and move on. The paint in my bedroom ended up being the dregs of about five cans mixed together rather than buying a new tin. No one was going to know. Good luck with the future plans. Hope it goes well.

I 100% disagree! USA has WAY bigger stores, more variety, more cool old stuff, America is more vast. It’s extremely rare to find anything good in Uk charity shops, they are tiny and mainly full of tat. I have to go regularly just to get lucky haha I bought to much stuff from thrifting in America I loved it!! xxx
@IsabellaDemarko There are definitely bigger shops here in America, I love vintage and eclectic style so I just loved the charm of the English shops. I brought back an entire vintage tea set in my carry-on 😍. enjoyed your video 😊
Not sure if you have a sofa yet, but I got a great one from a salvation army charity shop & they will deliver it for you for an affordable price, instead of having to hire a van xxx
